2 Lost

After they all left the area he followed some distance behind the group, when they made it to some vehicles he listened from a distance as to what was being said. Both Helena and Alexa were questioned, Alexa told them that she was asleep when Colton. While the huntress lied, "he ran off after I tagged him with some poison I kept hidden on me. I did this while he was distracted as he bit me on the neck, at this point he should be dead with how long it took for Alexa to undo my bonds and us to get out." Colton didn't understand why Helena would lie to them about what had happened, he had kidnapped her and drank her blood. 'If anything she should hate me for how I treated her, why is she lying to them?'

He watched as they were driven off in vehicles, Colton wasn't a vampire endowed in speed like some. This meant he was far from fast enough to follow the vehicles along side them, instead he had to follow behind them using his sense of smell to follow them. When he got to a main road he lost the scent since it mingled with the other scents and he was no longer able to follow them further. "Damnit," he cursed under his breath, he could feel the rage boil under his skin. 'Alex will likely be put in foster care with sick perverts since I killed her father for laying a hand on her.'

He turned and stalked back into the forest to find a way to learn about what was going on with his beloved sister and the huntress. He was determined to find his sister at any cost, he had to protect her but in the system it'd be hard to track her down. But he had to protect her from any danger she may be put in, the huntress was foolish since there was a great chance that Alex would be treated poorly while in the system. Over the years it was something that had been over looked since there were other things to worry about. This meant screening was not as thorough as it should be. Some slipped through the cracks and those were the sickos that hurt the children that were under their care. He wouldn't stand by as there was a chance the only person he considered family was put into a dangerous situation. He had one goal in mind, protect his sister.
