I HOPE YOU FORGET OUR ENCOUNTER

DAWN'S POV:

I Looked outside the window with many thoughts in my head. On the other side of the road were my cousin Paige and the new guy by the ice cream parlor enjoying a quite awkward conversation if you asked me. It felt wrong to continue looking at the two so I turned my head and rested it on the car window.

I wondered how long they were gonna take as I helped myself to the ice cream cone she had bribed me with to stay. I heard her loud giggles and felt even more out of place.

Grabbing the steering wheel, I decided to have a brief drive around the area and as I expected they didn't notice me leaving.

After a while I stopped somewhere to enjoy the view but it lasted for about two minutes before something unexpected happened.

Paige's car shook dramatically and violently and shock was instantly written all over my face.

I grabbed the steering wheel as the car moved backwards on its own. A deafening sound rent the air and the car suddenly stopped. In the rearview mirror, I realized I had hit a car- not just any car- a white tesla... I bit my lower lip, panic shaking throughout my body.

My first instinct was to drive off before the owner or Paige found me however, a few seconds later, I clumsily got out to figure the situation. The car had been slightly grazed on the bumper while Paige's car hadn't received any damage. I tried peeping through the windows but they were tinted black so I couldn't see a thing. No one answered when I knocked so I deduced no one was in...

Holding the hem of my dress, I tried rubbing the scratch off when suddenly the window slid down!

I flinched away from the car, my eyes wide and breathing fast and shallow. Inside the car was a guy, his hair inky-black with a fiery red strand and a black pair of sunglasses hanging by his shirt. His eyes emerald and his voice silvery as he spoke, 'What are you doing?"

XANDER'S POV:

The girl didn't even know I had observed her for quite sometime now. She looked so familiar, it was scary... I had heard previously that her name was Dawn or something. However grazing her car to mine hadn't been the best first impression.

I observed her pacing up and down wondering what to do and the corner of my mouth lifted slightly.

Lowering my window, I asked, 'What are you doing?" Odd enough, it didn't feel like the first words I had said to her. It took her at least five minutes before she could answer me. It was like she was in a trance. "Hey!" I snapped, "I asked what the heck are you doing to my car?"

"Oh," she finally answered, "You probably don't know me but..."

"That's right, I don't," I interrupted while wearing my sunglasses. She shifted her glance and I wanted to say something when I got a sudden call.

'MIA' it read.

I clenched my fists in annoyance. It was the same girl who made the whole school believe we were dating in a span of less than two weeks. I already knew what the call was going to be about. Without excusing myself, I got out of the car with my phone in my hand.

DAWN'S POV:

Alexander Nielson. I knew all I needed to know about this guy except for the fact that he owned the tesla I had just crashed into. I had set my eyes on him ever since he joined our school.

A long haired angel with pale skin and a floral scent who probably knew nothing about me. Just when I was free to admire him as much as I wanted to, he got an abrupt phone call from his girlfriend, Mia. Talk about bad timing.

Instantly, I saw Paige coming towards our direction and I knew I had to escape...Fast! I jumped inside her car and went to fetch her leaving Xander's tesla under his own care.

It felt like the best thing to do at the moment even though it was practically a crime. Before a flustered Paige could ask what was going on, I already handed her the steering wheel and yelled, "Drive Paige. NOW!"

I guess she was still lost thinking about the ice cream guy because she just gave me a sappy, 'mmh', smiled and took off. I could feel his emerald eyes glaring at us but I didn't dare look back. I just sat back praying he'd forget about our encounter.
