having traversed miles zero has not come across nothing but a few interesting trinkets that open and close there was even a box thing that flipped open and had small grooves that light up which he kept wrapped up in his clothes he found because other then sleeping with them he found no other use, like everything else he found other then the squish stuff he finds in different shapes and color he has figured out most shapes and which one is his favorite a brown bar that usually comes in a pair with stick sweet liquid light chocolate other then that some stacks of sheets with squiggles on them as his hobby to pass the time as he hasn't seen anything else that has peaked his interest other then the creepers there is nothing he found. which he is looking at one now it looks like a scrawny man with in green and brown rags savaging in a pile as he gets blasted by a brotherperson who fights with the "shiny guys" as they fly or move in small groups down roads which lead to zero discovering clothes and others mainly his favorite squishy as the metal man gave it to him as a gift with a metal coin with squiggles on it. but as zeros been traveling for hours with the shadows creeping the sun is setting which set his small journey to an end. pulling out the hidden board on top of a old house on the edge of a river zero slipped in and creeped to a bundled up clothes into a nest and stashed collection of random things as he listened in silence for the pretty voice to teach. listening in silence for seconds as a low voice reached up to his room as it talked with a few other voices having a conversation

"alright now which story do you want to listen to tonight" -pretty voice

"the valiant vault hero" -mono voice

"alright anyone else have a suggestion... no ok valiant hero it is" -pretty voice

grumbling from a few voices

"this world was vast born with wonder and even magic till one day a group of people wanted to harness that magic to create a perfect being but that came at a price for before us humans this realm was inhabited by being with eminence strength and power who came to rest in our world casting there power away but the group didn't believe they willingly gave up such power and immortality so while they were offering to teach us what they knew the group used that as a springboard to attack them and doing so they angered the great beings so much they used a forbidden technique that returned there power but destroyed not only themselves but the sun causing our world to spiral out of control and doomed us to extinction. But on the brink a women came from great beyond with a solution as she studied the great beings blood and techniques and revised it with 'science' as she called it which injecting it in a chosen few were able to gain the great beings powers and help the world by sacrificing there lifes to save us with a method lost in time. the end"

as zero doses off into his dreams of the wonderful world of magic and science and unknown muffled screams as a group of shadows creeped into the house to hunt for first blood of the night.

<POV Rin child>

the first time she managed to sneak past maya and outside after her last attempt 4 years ago. this orphanage she has lived her 13 year life lead by the excitment from the story's she told us about the different people and magical abilitys she described were dashed by this smell old man who is currently trying to force rin to give him her lolipop and food which she saved for a special reason. taken by surprise she was attacked by a stick he keep to his side and was hit repeatedly till he was scared of by some growling noise from a decayed building to there left as she used the opening to hit him in the shin but due to the pain from her wounds she hit a very sensitive area as the impact was unexpected from a 9 year old girl to say the least. except the blow rattled his mind with pain as he tried his hardest to stand as she fled down the street. towards her only hope to scare away the old man was to have him handle it as she wasn't able to fight the old man even if he didn't bruise her beautiful self. as a shadow of a stick eclipses her sight and the pain coming from all over her body as she could only spot darkness all around with a warm feeling in front of her chest as she struggles for breath. focusing her senses she hears loud noises and the scream of the old man followed by silence as she trys to figure out why she can't see as the surroundings don't sound friendly in the slightest as she managed after a few minutes to clean the blood and debris from the old man's hit and the sight that greeted her sent her running and screaming back to the orphanage as her rescuers were stumped as she took one last look and secretly admired there steel frames that were told of by maya for being a invention from the pre-gamma era known as power armor. traveling back to the orphanage prove easy and she even spotted her unique friend as he moves between buildings gathering funny objects and trys to figure them out how they work as she stashed the Lolipop in plan view on a old car chassis in his travel path and hid in a corner ready to catch him. as he traveled down the road he paused when he spots the lolipop and looks for hidden traps or traders as there called as he puts on a poor act that could only fool a child and as he closes in he sprints pass the car and snatches the lolipop and sprints down the closest ally rin was using to jump him. unable to react she is blown into the wall by his shoulder and knocked unconscious as she watches him run out and disappear from her view as the darkness began to take hold.

slowly weakening up from the drizzle of rain on her face she realized immediately that it was getting dark as the sun was going to set soon as she hurried back to the hill that the orphanage was on and was frozen from the sight of giants armed with swords clubs and guns but what caused her to freeze was the human skulls hung by a string through the temples as they around there neck as the fresh blood dripped down them. As for where the blood came from she could clearly see dean one of the other kids as half his body was held up by the neck as blood leaked from his eyes, nose and most importantly his stomach which was torn open with his guts gushing into the cool night air portrayed for the world to see. taking in the sight rin was stunned as the only thing that broke her trance was the collection of the children from the orphanage as maya wasn't there it was half the children totaling 8 those she recognized as some of her friends billy,sam,gorden, and even Akira one of the top boy in the orphanage and secretly her crush as she looked to find as way out the others where herded into a cage. sprinting around and hiding as to not get spotted she watched in horror as 2 more kids were killed by being stepped on for not moving and another which caused her brain to collapse as sam one of her only best friend and only female was picked up by the largest giant and eaten whole. unable to react rin was frozen till she spotted her teacher and guardian maya hidden behind door while she also spotted rin as rin hid behind a broken wall for coverage she made her way to maya and asked why this was happening. Discreetly as possible she started to ask questions about the giants and why they ate her friends with tears in her eyes and was greeted with silence as maya gave her a blank face as a shadow towered over her. taken over by fear she was only able to scream as a green hand incased her upper body and with great strength threw her into the cage with a sickening crack as rin lay there bleeding with many broken bones.

her only thing she felt or heard was mayas words that shattered her world.

"be careful with her she is by far the rarest specimen I could get in this barren dirt hell, she will make a fine addition to my sons collection" as the cage seemed to get darker for her as she let tried to ease the pain by laying in her blood and resting as the darkness eclipsed her thoughts.
