Chapter 2: Holocaust

Setting: Mumbai city, Lokhandwala, Star Tower Apartments

Day: Saturday ( 1st January 2021)

Ranveer ( Narrating ): My name is Ranveer Rathode. I am what you would call a below-average 17-year-old boy. I have a bad vision so I wear glasses, neither am I good in academics nor sports. Even my family is disappointed in me. They ignored me and left the city right in front of my eyes without even asking me if I needed something before their departure. All in all, I am unremarkable. A moment ago my life was ordinary but now everything has changed. I witnessed real zombies biting and ravaging other humans into a bloody mess. How can my old and unremarkable world change so much?!

( Ranveer Gasps! In disbelief )

Ranveer: What the hell?! This cannot be real.

Ranveer: Is India the only country suffering from this? No, maybe the entire world is going through this. I should check WION.

(Changes Channel)

News Anchor: H E L P M E E E E EE!!! Aaaaaaaaaaagacah Aaaaaaaaaaagacah Grrarrraraaaaaaadgh (Crying in pain.)

Ranveer: Uuuegckh UUUUeeeeegckh (Vomits in horror).

Ranveers Phone: National Emergency!

Ranveer:NO! Nononononononono!!!! This cannot be real.

Ranveer (In the mind): Last I checked there was no food left in the kitchen except for a days worth of chips and a packet of biscuits. How the hell will I survive this?! Hold on why am I thinking of surviving didn't I want to disappear? This should be the perfect opportunity? YES! This the best chance I have, I should just...give in, I should-

(Door Bangs Loudly!)

Ranveer: What the hell?! Who is it? (In a scared voice)

(Banging Gets louder)

Ranveer: Answer me! Who is there?

(Banging Gets LOUDER)

Ranveer: Damn it!!!

(Ranveer Holds a Cricket bat)

Ranveer: OH NO! Why is the door lock so weak? It's about to break the door open.

(The lock breaks)

Ranveer: OH NO!!!

(The door opens)

Zombie 1: Aaaaaaaagckh!!!!!!!!!

Zombie 2: Grrrrarrrrrrragdh!!!!!!!

Zombie 3: Rrtrtrrrrrrrragdckh!!!!!

Zombie 4: Naaaaannaaaagckh!!!!

Ranveer (Thinking): Oh no! Am I gonna die?!

Ranveer(Thinking): I have disappointed my parents...

Mom: Dont show me your face ever again.

Dad: You are nothing but a disgrace.

Even my own brother...

Sameer: Don't you ever call me brother in front of other people again.

Ranveer: Isn't this what I deserve?

(Zombie 1 run towards Ranveer)

(Blood splatters on the ground)

Ranveer (Thinking): What the?! My hand moved on its own.

Ranveer (Thinking): Why?! Why did my hand move on its own? Did I not want to just quit my life? Then why?!?!?!

Zombie 2: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagackh!!!!!!

(Zombie 2 running towards Ranveer)

(Ranveer swings the bat)

Ranveer: NO! I am not ready to give up my life. If I give up now then how will I prove the people who called me worthless wrong?!?!

Ranveer: I WILL SURVIVE!!!

(Zombie 2 blood splatters)

Ranveer: Aaaaaagh!!!

(Ranveer swings the bat)

Zombie 3: kyaaaaaaaaaagrackh!!!

(Zombie 3 blood splatters)

Zombie 4: Ggggggrrrrrrrrrrararrarararararrarararagagaraaaaaargckh!!!

(Zombie 4 swings his hand)

Ranveer (Thinking): Damn it! Unlike the other 3 zombies this one is stronger. It even broke my glasses.

(Zombie 4 runs towards Ranveer)

(Ranveer dodges)

Ranveer (Thinking): Did the zombie get slower?? I shouldn't think much. This is my chance to strike.

(Ranveer swings the bat)

Ranveer: Haaaaaaaaagckh!

(Zombie 4 blood splatters)

(Ranveer Gasps)

Ranveer: I need to throw out these bodies and barricade the door.

Ranveer(Thinking): I must survive this. As I am right now it might not be able to survive for long. I must get stronger and defeat anything that gets in my way. I will make sure that I survive this.
