1 Chapter 1

I GOT YOU

"There's always been an invisible string that connects us. Fate that made us collide again and again. There's hatred that kept on reminding me that she's peculiar... uncontrollably, peculiar."

Bella's  Point of View

Lifting my head, I paused at the abrupt silence. Meanwhile, a little noise penetrated the walls of my apartment. It was past five o'clock in the morning and I am already wide-awake. This is my first day of school at Castelvania University and that thought made me excited and at the same time, terrified. I am not used—unfamiliar with this kind of life.

It was months ago since I left Arcadeo, a city where I grew up. My family isn't aware about me leaving the mansion. I escaped. I ran away because I am doomed, tired of my life. I can't take it anymore...the arrange marriage, their plans about my future. I chose a normal life, I chose to become peculiar. I won't let anyone control my life...not even my family.

I shook my head to lessen those thoughts. I pushed myself up against my favorite pillow, got out of the bed and start stretching my hands. I opened the window and appreciate the beauty of Castelvania. A peaceful province where the air was fresh and the streets were cleaned up. The people were well disciplined.

I smiled weakly and hurried into the bathroom when I realized that I need to get ready for school. I stripped off my clothes, took a bath and minutes later, I dried myself with a towel. I was wearing my uniform when I rushed to the mirror to see how I look.

"Still, stunning. Hmm, slender...it fits well,"I smiled playfully and started to brush my long and silky straight hair. I reached for my makeup kit and put some liptint, just to hide the paleness of my lips.

I stared at myself in the mirror for the last time and grab my bag to start my new student life at Castelvania University. The class will begin at seven but I need to leave the apartment early, for me to start walking. I don't have enough money to buy a car or enough penny for a cab. I need to get used to it.

"I'm a poor lady at Castelvania. How surprising and challenging life is,"I said in a sad voice and sighed, starting to walk for school. This situation I'm in is somewhat depressing, nerve wracking!

Along the way, I saw a weenie lady, crying helplessly in an alley with three guys laughing at her. She's sitting on the ground with her hands covering her face. I can feel my anger rising up so without any hesitation, I walked towards that alley.

"Hey, what's going on in here?"I asked in a low yet menacing voice. I arched my brows and reached for the lady's hands to help her stand.

"This is not your thing, stop meddling in our business,"a guy, probably my age, stared at me with utter disbelief. He is trying to peruse what I was thinking with his bloodshot eyes.

I arched my brow and crossed my arms. "Hurting this woman is not your thing either. So, it's better for you to back off and study hard instead,"I glared at them and grinned wickedly at their solemn espressions...or should I call it priceless reactions.

"I can't believe what you're doing, kiddo. What will you do then, huh? Do you expect us to follow what you're babbling about? You've lost your mind, completely!" The guy with a Band-Aid on his jaw looked at me with dismay. His eyes were as dark as a charcoal, cold as an ice. His hands were on his black faded jean's pockets.

"I will let this slide this time. Now, go. Eat your candy and forget what you've saw, kiddo,"he added that echoed into my ears. His immorality is an outrage against Louisse Isabella Aguerre!

I clenched my fist and looked at them furiously. I am trembling in great anger. Before I could punch him straight to his hideous face, the weenie lady behind me held my wrist and pulled me away from those jerks. "Let go of me, I will kicked the asses of those jerks!"I shouted at the nerdy lady who is trying to drag me away from that alley. I badly want to punch them...one by one, darn it!

"Stop it already!"she shouted in front of me that made me froze for seconds. "I-I'm sorry, I don't want you to be bullied by those guys... because of me. Next time, don't mind me or them. They might hurt you, worst make your days in Castelvania a living hell." She let go of my wrist and looked at the ground. Her blonde and curly hair were messed up because of the incident happened earlier. Covered with her eyeglasses, sadness and anxiousness were still evident on her chestnut brown eyes.

When I stared at her face, despite being a nerd, she's still jaw-dropping. Her blonde brows, long lashes, straight nose that goes well with her cheekbones and her thin rosy red lips...she's like a model!

"I can handle myself, don't worry,"I assured her. I smiled at the first student I met at Castelvania University. She smiled back at me and continued walking, talking about the students and how the school works for a transferee like me.

Chase's Point of View

I was on my way to Castelvania University when I noticed the group of Gavin bullied Vanessa again. She's terrified while the boys were just laughing crazily at her crying. Mind your own business. That's how the school and its students work. If you don't want a miserable life at Castelvania then learn to ignore things, turn a blind eye and forget everything.

I shook my head and was about to leave when I noticed an unfamiliar girl approaching them. I can sense the tension building up between that peculiar girl and Gavin's group. I smiled without any hint of humor.

I was engrossed to what I was looking that I didn't notice the time I've spent, watching them shouting at each other."It's almost seven!"I exclaimed when I saw the time at my wristwatch. I gawk at the peculiar girl for the last time. "You're doomed,"I whispered and start the engine of my car. I drove away from that unimportant scene.

CASTELVANIA UNIVERSITY

I parked my car and left the parking lot quietly. Walking at the corridors, I jolted when someone screamed my name. It was from a group of junior highschool students trying to get my attention. "He looked at me. Gosh, he's seductive as always even with his dark aura!"she chuckled. I glanced at them irritatedly, trying to stop that boisterous girl from fantasizing things that wasn't suitable for her age.

I saw how they froze and quivered in fear. I am a beast, a hell-raiser yet everyone was after my attention. How ironic. I continued walking, ignoring everyone who's trying to befriend me. They're just wasting their time. Annoying students hungry for attention.

I was about to enter our classroom when someone grabbed my arms and without any second thought, she punched me directly on my face. I closed my eyes and shook my head when I felt kinda dizzy. I endured the pain from her punch and wiped my nose when I felt something was flowing from it. My eyes bulge in horror upon seeing the blood on my fingers."I got you, jerk!"she bawled behind my back, sounding a little out of breath.

"Who are you to punch—" We both stared at each other. My lower jaw protruded slightly upon realizing who this girl was. I saw how her hazel eyes bulged in great shock. She was trembling, frightened by my cold eyes and started to move backwards. She began to sweat and flushed. I gave her a threatening look and move forward, attempting to hold her waist. I grabbed her body towards mine. I can feel the tension and awkwardness rising up.

She was that peculiar girl I saw earlier. She stared straightly unto my eyes like something interesting was in it. She had this bright hazel eyes along with her long lashes and an attractive curved brows. A straight nose that goes very well with her high cheekbones, chin that was resolute and firm and thin soft pink lips that made me swallow hard. Fvck, I wanted to kiss her!

I could feel the heat rising towards my body and straight into my face. I came back to my senses when she offered her handkerchief and mumbled something. "I-I owe you an apology—I-I got the wrong person. You had that Band-Aid on your jaw and I thought you're that jerk I encountered earlier. Ahm, your nose was bleedin',"she pointed out my nose. I let go of her waist and wiped those freakin' blood using the back of my hand. What am I thinking?

I gazed at her and finally uttered something. "You're doomed, you got the beast. For now, suit yourself because tomorrow, you might suffer. They'll be after you making sure you'll leave Castelvania University—as soon as possible." I arched my brows seeing her face not even terrified of my words. Instead, she's disgusted. "Then do it, you pervert,"she whispered and left like nothing happened. I entered our classroom irritatedly and sat on my designated seat at the back of this room.

Who is she to pester me? My mind was a mess and my nose was bleeding. She's unpredictable, unreasonable and uncontrollable...peculiar indeed.
