She is Hers

Nana is her senior and so Ping couldn't be with her during the classes. They only met up during lunch time. It serves as a perfect chance, she guessed because when she came out during the class hour, she found Nana with a concealer in the washroom, trying to cover up red cheeks.

"Who?"

Startled, Nana turn to look at the person at the doorway but when she saw its Ping, she turn her back towards the girl and tried to hide her face.

"I ask something, who did this to you?" Ping questioned as she comes up to the other girl. Nana tried in vain to cover up her cheeks with her hands but Ping grab them both in her one hand as her other hand tilted up Nana's face by the chin.

Ping softened when she saw how Nana was holding back her tears which were brimming up in her eyes. She let the girl go and instead pull her into her arms, hugging her with all she got.

"I wont ask you anymore, but know this. No matter what you do, no matter how you are, at the end of the day I will always be there for you. Trust me, please."

'classes be damn', Ping thought and hold the girl in her arms for the whole evening as Nana cried herself into exhaustion. The detention next day and a good round of slap from her mother for skipping the class (the principal called her parents) was all worth it. At the end of the day, Nana made kimchi dish specifically for her lunch and hand feed it to her.

Ping was late, she was late for lunch and her Nana might be waiting for her by the roof all alone. It's all her math teachers' fault for holding her up by lecturing her for her poor performance in his subject. Ping scoffs as she skip steps up towards the roof. As if she really care about school, or about math.

"Come on, strip!"

Ping stop herself halfway from reaching out for the door handle.

"Please don't." she can hear Nana's frail voice saying.

"Come on, you're whoring yourself to that transfer junior anyway and she's a girl like you too. We're boys, I can satisfy you better."

Ping realised that maybe it's not the first time Nana is enduring this kind of treatment from the boys. It's almost ridiculous how they pick on someone weak.

When she huffs, smoke comes out her nose as if she's smoking but she had dropped her cigarette when she saw Nana crunching up her nose at the smell of cigarettes on her.

"Hey, nice show." Ping smirks as she closed the door behind her before moving to stand on the side. It almost reminds her of the first time she saw Nana on this same fucking rooftop. Now, Nana was on the floor on her knees in front of three boys, who seemed like it's from her class.

"Like what you see Pingpong?" the tall one said and the name he used irritated her on end since the name itself was an unpleasant memory to her.

"I do like what I see," Ping replies with her smirk widening as she check out the girl on the floor who was staring up at her with anticipation because she trust Ping and Ping can read her eyes.

"I don't like others touching what's mine though and you're trying to do just that." Ping tilts her head and looks at the boys who frowns upon hearing her words. She can see Nana holding her smile at her.

"As if you can fight back you little bitch!" one of the boys tried throwing a punch at her but Ping dodge it and kicks his right on his ass down to the old stack up desks.

"Your ain't gonna win against me, I'm giving you a chance to take your friend and go. So scam off." Ping glares, her eyes flashing red and the two boys run out the roof without their friend, they were too frightened to care about the other.

As if a mere human can trample over someone like her.

They didn't stayed on the roof, Ping have them teleport by the lake they went out for the first time together.

"Thank you." Nana smiles as Ping help her up and healed the bruises and scratches on her face and hands.

"I wish I was strong like you," Nana sighs but Ping hold her hands in hers and said, "Then whom will I look after, hm? You are my little bird, my cute kitten, so you CANNOT EVER change the way you are. Not without my permission or knowledge. I won't let you."
