2 My big day turned around

Chapter two

My car broke down on my way to the restaurant and I immediately called a mechanic that I know but he has never fixed my car before.

Gosh, it's two hours now and still no sight of him. I'm in a frantic state when a car stops close to my car and a guy came out, he walks towards me. He is handsome, well dressed and 5ft tall but a stranger so I quickly turned my face to the other side to avoid eye contact.

"Hi", he says with a wave

" Can I help you?". I say

He tucks a hand in his pocket and held out the other. "I'm Kyle", he says. I shake his hand

" Lucy."

" I couldn't help but notice you standing here, I hope there's nothing wrong?"

" Actually there is, my car broke down and I have been waiting for the mechanic to come fix it and am running late."

" Oh that's bad, where are you heading?". He asks.

" Kings street, it's like 30 minutes drive from here." I say

" Am also heading there, you can hop in if you want." He says

I kind of have a good feeling about him. His voice is calm and his smile seems genuine.

Immediately my phone rings and it was Joyce

"Where the hell are you." she asks.

" Am sorry babe, my car broke down although am on my way now." I say.

" You better be." she replies

( The call ended)

" So are you hoping in?" Kyle asks

" Do I have a choice." I say with a smile on my face and he did same.
