Chapter three

The ride is a silent one, although I don't find it palatable. Am definitely breaking this silence.

" So, do you stay at Kings street?".

"No", he says.

" Then what are you going there for or I should skip the question?", I ask.

" Just visiting a friend". He glance at me with an ineffable expression on his face.

" Your girlfriend I presume", I say.

" Nope," He answers.

His anwers are all straight, like he's not in the mood, I think I should probably mind my business now. I inhale and exhale.

This is going to be a boring ride, I gnash my teeth. And that's when he asks.

" So what's your mission over there?."

" My restaurant is over there", I say.

" Nice", he says.

" Although am launching it today".

" Congratulations, wow that's huge".

He gives me that smile I saw earlier.

" So your man called you earlier, he must be very worried", he asks.

I looked at him stunned by his question and then laugh.

" Nah, that's just my friend, she's at the restaurant waiting for close to three hours now, I would have called her to come pick me up but she might be occupied", I say.

" Sorry I misunderstood", he says.

" it's fine," I say.

We are almost close to Kings street and am enjoying his company, I'm thinking I should invite him for a coffee or tea.

" You can stay for a cup of coffee or tea if your not in a hurry".

" Maybe next time, I might stop by", he says.

" That's such a bummer, was really looking forward to talk more", I sigh.

" We will definitely, some day though", he says.

" What makes you so sure?", I ask.

" The world is a small place, that's why", he says.

" My restaurant is at the corner over there", I pointed to the direction.

"it's good bye for now then", he says.

" Thanks so much for , I'm in your debt", I say.

" I will have that in mind in case of next time", he smiles at me.

I came down from the car and wave good bye, while he zooms off.
