2 School : bumping into a moron

°Ok! this is it my life is totally ruined, no, I just began school, it's not like it's the end of the world or anything°

Lost in my thought, my hands clutched my books tightly towards my chest as I tried not to be seen as I walked through the hallway. Walking lightly all thanks to my flats, observing my steps on the marble floor as my head hung low, my vision mostly on people's feet than their faces.

Moving in a zigzag motion, avoiding possible push or shove from other students.

°Where's my first class? I am so screwed!°

The smell of fragrance engulfed my breathing space as I approached my locker, looking upwards as the perpetrators passed by me. They were a group of three blonde girls, adorned in matching skintight denim trousers coupled with Amber crop tops and black high top sneakers, chatted with each other with no care in the world, getting everyone's attention either due to their loud mouths or their insanely unbearable heavy perfume.

°Triplets? Why do I care anyways?°

Resigning to my previous posture, I turned due west to my locker after the huge clock which hung on the ceiling in the hallway, Immediately bumping into someone with my books and stationery falling off my hands, "Hey! Watch it you moron!" Rubbing my head and squinting to the pain. I had definitely not wanted my first day of school to be like this, I opened my eyes slowly only to come face to face with my offender, he held a smile and offered his hand out to me, all I did was stare at his hand in confusion, no one had ever showed this kind of help to me in a very long time, not even noticing my presence well except my mom.

°What does he want? Get up! Before he thinks you're weak°

Then the spell was broken, I shrugged off his hand and stood up myself, picking my books and stationery in the process not wanting to show I'm a damsel in distress and went off to my first class, that's if I know where that is though.

°Darn it! Why did I not take the manual like mom advised?°

"Hey!" The mysterious boy called out.

°Just ignore him, he'll get tired eventually and probably leave me alone°

Increasing my pace as I went in the opposite direction but stopped abruptly when he called out once more.

"I haven't seen you around here before, do you by chance know where our history class is K-a-t-i-e B-r-o-o-k-s?" Waving my history textbook in the air which I had mistakenly left out while in a hurry to leave.

Approaching slowly, clearly embarrassed. "Thank you." I put on a fake smile as I retrieved my textbook.

Great! Now I'll be an object of ridicule for the bullies, he seems to be in my class, just great another moron is joining in the class I clearly do not know where it is

"You're clearly welcome." His grin widening by the second.

"Do you know where our class is?" A smirk playing on his lips.

I had to pull myself together deflating my ego, all I could muster as an answer was to shake my head in a ~∆No.

"Just follow me then, we wouldn't want to be late now do we?" He offered

"Lead the way." I reluctantly replied as I rolled my eyes following after him towards the second class down the hall.

Sitting at the available seat, I looked around only to see some serious, funny, pale, normal and scary looking faces, the only recognizable face was the mysterious boy who just had to look at my direction at the same time.

A girl suddenly smiles at me, it was strange and must I point out, creepy? But my glances were interrupted by the history teacher voice: "It's my pleasure to meet you all once again, so as some of us know, we have a new student in our midst." My eyes darted around the classroom, fingers crossed, hoping I wasn't the one being referred to but I was clearly wrong as all gazes went in my direction.

Why couldn't we start the day normally? Now all gazes are on me, what do I do?

"Miss Brooks..." The history teacher motioned with his hands, signalling me to come out, "we would like to get to know you alot better before our class starts for the day."

"Uh... I'm sure everyone already knows who I am, we do not need to bother them with unnecessary information about me Sir." The chair seemed to have a set glue on it as I couldn't move, my turtle neck sweater was my safe haven right now as I hid my face to the best possible way wishing I could retract my body into my sweater like a turtle to it's shell.

The history teacher held my gaze his disappointed look to my pleading one, before sighing in defeat, "Alright class, let's begin, please turn your text books to page 121. We would begin with The Apartheid Impact." He proceeded to scribble the unfamiliar topic on the whiteboard.

Groans and murmurs could be heard as some dramatically slumped on their textbooks, while some were never concentrating from the start as they were either busy with their devices or distracted by some mischief cause by others.

He had just begun with the topic when the bell for the next class rung.

°Yes! at last a class I would be excited to go to!°

Without warning, the student count in the class dwindled as no one really wanted to be in this class and we're quite happy for the timely intervention of the bell. Looking my way and flashing a smile my way.

°What was that for?°

Penning down any important notes to be used, I arranged my books as I headed to the class where I clearly knew where it was, Art class!.

"Bon après-midi, Monsieur Paulette" I greeted as I entered, I clearly had to show off my just learnt French words.

"Bienvenu, Mademoiselle Katharine!" His accent getting in the way.

"It's Katherine Sir, but you can call me Katie." I held my lower lip with my teeth trying to repress my laughter, "and that's the only French I know well apart from Merci."

"Qui, qui" he nodded his head, pulling on his moustache for a while, "Let's get started then Katie." He said with an eye shut smile.

~~~~~~~~~~
We had just closed from school and I tried avoiding the mysterious boy. Thankfully after History class I hadn't seen him.
°If we didn't start off on the wrong foot, I could have sworn he was handsome, wait what?°
"Get your head out of the cloud." I smacked my head a few times. I was in the hallway putting in some of my books in my locker, when the captain of the football team walked in, it's my first day in school and his posters being on almost every bulletin board and his outfit clearly screamed: "Hi I'm the captain of the football team."
My eyes played it's tricks on me as an angelic aura surrounded him and his motion seemed to play in a slower version, it felt like I was in the clouds transfixed to the beautiful glow of this angel with his hair styled in a quiff, which reminds me so much of David Gandy, his icy blue eyes!. He seemed to look my way as he flashed one of those award winning smile. I had to look at my sides even behind me to know if the smile belongs to me not those ambiguous smiles meant for someone else.
I saw a girl behind me, but she seemed distracted so maybe it wasn't for her.
Then an approaching figure not too far ahead, the same girl who had smiled at me at history class.
"Hi..."
