'I was never informed about this though???'

Akane was stupefied.

You would have thought that after spending a whole month together that sort of information would have slipped out somewhere along the way, but nope!

Although she hadn't asked much about Mavis's past, from what Mavis had said from time to time it made it sound like she was a commoner.

[Yes….]

Mavis affirmed her words without hesitation.

It was true that she was a noble but she didn't like to declare her status. Her position was one she had gained through her own hard work and not because of her status so it became a habit of hers not to put it out on display.

She looked at the shocked Akane with a teasing look and smirked.

[Can't believe it?]

Akane shook her head hurriedly but her expression was still stunned.

It wasn't that the fact was unbelievable.

Admittedly she was indeed shocked, she couldn't deny this fact.

But, she had always wondered how commoner genes could give birth to such an outstanding beauty.

She had even made it a point in her life to see her parents so she could see what idols had created this ultimate stunner.

But as it turns out-

It made more sense if she was a noble so Akane was more than willing to accept this fact that the fact that she was a commoner.

'Also, I tended to ignore it but sometimes her actions are too graceful'

It was etiquette was carved into her flesh at times.

If you just focused on the fact that she was a woman who loved swords and hid her background you would really never know that she was a noble.

But thinking back to all those times it was obviously slapping her dead in the face.

Additionally, thinking about the fact that Mavis became the captain of the guards at such an early age of thirty it made a lot more sense if you added the fact that she was a noble.

Especially given her gender it would be hard for her to normally have too high a position if she were a regular commoner.

No matter how skilled you were, nobles would still monopolize the authoritative positions and beat down those more skilled than themselves.

And being a woman there was no way men would allow a woman to stand above them as their superiors.

'With bribes and power the rise in rank would become too much of an arduous climb'

Skill was definitely important.

However noble bloodline and background was even more important when it came to rising in rank.

For a man, it wouldn't be too much of a struggle since they could just show their skill and over time they would be able to rise in rank.

But for a woman, it would be extremely hard.

Although Akane knew that Mavis had the skills for it, one couldn't really deny the fact that her background played a huge role in her current position.

Well, Akane didn't care about that.

Just knowing that Mavis was a noble made her eyes sparkle like never before. 

She glanced at Mavis, greed and dollar signs coloring her eyes as she smiled barely holding back the drool.

[You're so reliable Mavis]

Akane pounced immediately embracing Mavis.

The nobles around them were shooting weird glances at the two but Akane didn't care anymore. How could she when she had found such a reliable(rich) friend!

[Is that so?]

Due to the height difference, Akane's face was stuck between her huge mountains but she didn't mind.

These were some expensive goods so she would get a good whiff and enjoy her time.

[B-But why are you embracing me all of a sudden? And stop playing with my chest in public!]

Extremely embarrassed, Mavis turned red and tried to push Akane away.

However Akane clutched tightly onto her not willing to let go at all.

She chuckled and looked up to see the sight of Mavis blushing shyly and smiled.

[Fufu, my lady. What a cute face you have there. I suddenly feel the urge to make you mine!]

Akane didn't swing that way but with a partner like Mavis who could be dissatisfied?

Just imagining herself waking up to such a work of art each morning filled her with an uncontrollable energy and desire to conquer this fine specimen!

'Fufufu, imagine dominating her in bed'

[Uwaah, what a perverted expression! And what's with that change in your aura all of a sudden? C-Can you let go already?]

'Ahh, that's right. I was squeezing these heavenly breasts for so long I forgot where I was'

Akane reluctantly released the heavenly mounds and sighed.

But then she smiled thinking of how she had found a treasure!

She looked directly into Mavis's amethyst eyes as Mavis questioningly glanced back into her eyes. 

The sudden serious stare caught Mavis off guard and she took a step back in surprise.

But, Akane didn't let her get away and gently grabbed her wrist. 

Then with a gaze filled with all seriousness she said.

[Say Mavis, do you want to marry me?]

A firm and serious voice left Akane's lips.

She had seriously only thought of it as a joke, but considering all the benefits that came with it she really didn't mind the idea.

Also, as she had said before Mavis was extremely beautiful!

[W-What did you just say?!]

A shocked exclamation left Mavis's lips. She was extremely stunned and didn't know what to do.

But seeing this reaction, Akane raised a brow in thought.

'Maybe she's not against the idea?'

It was the first she had seen this female knight so flustered.

'I've only seen her stern expression which was all too beautiful, but this flustered expression is a rare one!'

But, it was cute.

Such a reaction caused Akane to explode her reasoning and her eyes sparkled with greed.

Never would she hand this cutey over to anyone.

She and only she alone could enjoy the sight of her pure and innocent reactions.

'Fufu-I'll make you show me a slovenly expression sooner or later'

Mavis saw Akane lick her lips and shudder.

A shiver ran down her spine and she tried to retreat in horror but the demon kept chasing her like a moth to a flame.

[G-Get away from me now!]

Eyes gathered at the sight but Mavis was too focused on running while Akane didn't care at all.

She only wanted to capture this princess and lock her away for all eternity!

'Fufu, I'm gonna catch you!'

In her mind this was all Akane cared about.

The other could look but they couldn't touch.

Not at all.

At this moment she would use her status as a hero to exhibit her fancy for the female knight Mavis.

Now others would know and not intrude on this strange relationship.

Not only would this cement her affection for Mavis in the eyes of others, this would tell others that she was sticking with the dukes daughter from here on out.

In short, she felt like a genius!

Still, none of that matter right now, she had to hurry up and catch this beauty quickly!

Akane caught Mavis and once again clutched unto her without a hint of letting her go.

[No! I'll marry Mavis and dominate her to make you completely mine! Hand over that body!]

Hearing this conversation, the nobles surrounding them spat out their wines.

No one could ignore such a comical sight and even nobles weren't immune to it.

Mavis looked wronged and she looked at Akane desperately hugging her waist.

[I-I'm flattered but your words make me terrified!]

'You say that but instead of being scared you look like you're curious about this whole thing?'

Akane chuckled.

The way she saw it Mavis wasn't being honest with herself at all.

Her inner demon had awakened and the more she was exposed to this new side of Mavis the more she wanted to dominate her.

She was like a running motor that could no longer be switched off!

Feeling a bit mischievous, Akane stretched on her tip toes and whispered into Mavis's ears.

[Don't worry, I'll be gentle]

The moment the hot breath brushed against her ears, Mavis trembled with a red face.

Akane saw this and her eyes instantly lit up.

'So, your ears are your weak spot huh…'

A devilish smile flashed on her face.

Mavis tried to fight back but the grip on her was way too strong. 

In reality, Mavis should have been able to resist and push Akane away.

But the accumulated damage done to her mind softened her will and she could no longer resist Akane's strong advances.

Akane grinned and prepared for the ultimate finisher.

'Give me power oh goddess of love!'

Just as she prepared to make a move.

*shatter*

[….Huh?]

The huge glass ceiling covering the entire banquet hall shattered.

Glass shards fell like rain and the moment they hit the ground they shattered into even more smaller fragments covering the ground like a field of snow.

A ray of moonlight shone down into the huge hall and within the silver radiance dazzling the night sky, a figure floated in the air looking down at the humans below.
