Calm and the Plan

For gods sake.

The two could not comprehend what they were even looking at.

Why was it happening?

How did it happen?

Feroo, what the hell?

However, it was no time to think. Regardless, they had to do something. Suri was about to jump out to help him but Mothly held her back. "Suri, wait, even if we help him, his state of mind is clearly abnormal right now and that's the most important thing to fix fight now, he's not in any actual real danger.

"He's fighting an earth drake what do you mean he's not in any real danger…?"

Mothly pointed his finger to the top of the earth drake. Suris gaze followed that finger and she saw a large piece of magic platinum stuck in the monsters back. "Did Feroo do that…?", she muttered lowly. Mothly however heard her, and replied, "Don't be an idiot, is he strong enough to even lift that? Where would he even find that to begin with."

The two just stayed in the bush observing for a couple minutes until they got an idea. They would first kill the monster, and then after calming Feroo down with words, they would take him back to the shelter so that he can get over his grievances.

As they planned to take care of the monster, however, their help was no longer needed as the platinum stuck inside the monster lodged itself further and broke it spine. The monster dropped dead and feroo just looked at it.

Mothly went to feroo and applied him to the floor, where feroo promptly and conveniently fell unconscious. Little did anyone know the incredible change that Feroos' body was going through. As negative emotions manifested themselves inside feroo from the shelter getting destroyed, combine with him unleashing his murderous anger and rage upon the creatures of the forest, his first strand of bloodlust was slowly forming inside his body. As the bloodlust was getting formed, he had lost sight more and more and continued on his rampage. By the time he fell from exhaustion, his strand of bloodlust was fully formed, and penetrated his muscles and meridians. It rampaged through them and left torn fibers and shattered strands in its wake. As it passed, the bloodlust stand left a faint aura of itself among his muscles, and with no direction or instructions, the strand naturally headed towards his bones. It passed through his inner organs and touched his bones, leaving their energy chaotic. It shoved itself inside his marrow, and went dormant. Mothlys' sharp senses detected the faint aura of a beast from feroo. He knitted his eyebrows, but didn't think much of it in the end.

As that happened, Suri went to the monster and closely examined the magic platinum. There were clear markings and deliberate edges, a clear sign of human architecture. However, just what heavenly place would have building built of such precious material?

She took it out of the creatures body. Magic platinum was the the 9th best material known to humanity, only surpassed by 6 different materials naturally inside the body of great demons and beasts, enemies entire shelters would be wary of, a rare but unmineable ore underground, Skyfree, and hell's ore, located literally in hell.

Suri removed the magic platinum chunk, with intentions of using the material for equipment. However once removed, with a transparency not like the material, within, a human hand could be seen inside. The hand seemed to be holding tight onto something.

Upon closer inspection, these….. These were…. Soulstones?

Legendary Items owned only by the city lord, and his two heavenly guards? This….

Suri started laughing out loud, in a clearly purposely exaggerated manner."HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, SO THE HEAVENS TRULY DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT YOURS TRULY!" "HAHA!"

These soul stones being here can only mean that the previous owners are dead, and we are three people! That means that these heavenly objects can now be binded to a new owner.

Just what is a soul stone to make suri this ecstatic?

A soul stone is an object forged through unknown means, which absorbs some of the essence of extremely strong creatures. This essence is used to develop and strengthen the users soul emblem. Strong, in this case, is compared to how developed the users soul emblem is.

Now what exactly is a soul emblem?

A soul emblem is a mark on the soul that every human is born with, and cannot change. The emblem assigns a combat-related class and subclass to everyone.

Even though the user will be more talented in what corresponds to their emblem, it doesn't do much unless it is developed with the soul stone. Once developed, it provides powerful % bonuses, and strengthens the body. However, this soul stone is incomparably rare, and the method to making it is not known, at least not publicly. Even those who know how to make it don't know how it works.

Mothly looked over at suri. A frown appeared upon his face.

Are these two mentally ill? First Feroo and now...

Mothly walked over to suri. He followed her gaze and saw the soulstones too.

"HAHAHA" "SEE, MOTHLY, THE HEAVENS HAVEN'T ABANDONED US! THE HEAVENS HAVEN'T ABANDONED US!"

In truth, they were never actually dispirited. However, finding a soulstone was like ascending to the heavens in one step. All paths were unblocked and supreme power was no longer out of reach. The mortal body was weak and could hardly be improved, but the soulstone could assist with that.

The two eyed the chunk of Magic Platinum with eyes of pure excitement. The two originally had a plan to go back to the shelter ruins for feroo, but that could be delayed. In addition, it would be safer the longer they wait.

It has to be mentioned, however, that the outside world was much more dangerous at night. While it was morning, after the hours of running, it was nearing night.

Suri knew this and it played into convenience because the magic platinum is both too heavy to move and too valuable to abandon, and it takes many days at minimum to process, so this is by far the best location for a temporary base in the outside world.

In addition, it is at small threat of being attacked by the same monsters that attacked Verdies shelter anytime soon because they had traveled around 300 miles, and the forest all around blocks sight.

This all went through Suris' mind nearly instantly, and she said, "You guys we're building a base here.", as she proceeds to tell Mothly why. Mothly had some ideas before but he never but a lot of thought into it because Suri always took care of the logistics.

They soon started construction of a quick base to stay the night. They had to protect against zombies and Juvenile flying cockatrices, whose piercing gaze is not yet fully developed, but still intimidating. They planted Feroo next to the magic platinum, and started construction...
