Chapter 14

Grace's Point Of View,

"Oh you are already up", I said as I looked at Anna who was looking at us as a long-lost puppy does. And when she saw that I was looking at her she quickly shifted her gaze.

"Oh, yes, I woke up just now", she said softly.

"How are feeling now honey", mom asked her the same way she asks me. And I am so glad that mom started doing an effort to accept her as her daughter soon.

"I am feeling so good now, m", she was about to say mom, but she could not speak it. Maybe she was still not sure that mom is ready to accept her. She hesitated to speak, and my mom noticed it in a blink and she made her way toward Anna. Anna sat on the bed and mom took a place beside her.

"See, Anna, I know you are still not comfortable here properly. And I know it will take time, but I want to tell you that stop thinking about anything now. I will never let you go now, you are not only my responsibility but a part of my life. And also you can call me mom now as Grace does, okay? I am with you no matter what honey, please try to cooperate. As fast you will accept your new life, it will be good for you", said my mom and placed a soft kiss on her head. New tears build up in Anna's eyes after hearing the words of my mom, but they were happy tears, and my mom wiped her crying face.

"It should be the last time when I am seeing tears in your pretty eyes. Next time if I see you crying I am gonna punish you okay", my mom scolded her but softly. Anna chuckled and nodded her head as she wiped her face with tight hands and took a deep breath.

"Thank you mom", she said and my mom hugged her.

"Good, always smile like this. I am going get you a glass of juice, okay, you go and wash your face". My mom said and Anna nodded her head as mom walked out of the room. Anna was looking at the door, and then she looked at me and smiled a little.

"I can never thank you enough for this life", she said to me and I glared at her.
