1 Chapter 1: No Idea You Existed

Hope. Small word but has different meanings from different perspectives. But this is the only thing lacking in my not-so perfect life. I am an average girl, going to a normal high school and a have small circle of friends. I was left in front of an orphanage by my birth parents. My adoptive parents are super kind . They love me like their real daughter. I love them to death. But my life was missing something.....rather someone . I don't know who, but it seems I know the person very closely.

First day of senior year. I am excited. One more year in this " Not - so-heavenly" school, then I am off to college. I am an above average student , so getting into my dream college doesn't seem so far.

I was in my locker , when I spotted a girl with curly chestnut hair, Blaire , my best friend in the world. " Hi Girl!", I squicked with excitement and happiness floating in my head. I missed this girl. " Artemis! OH MY GOSH! Finally I get to meet you. Come over here", she said taking me into a bear hug. " Ready to seize this day?" she asked , " As ready as I will ever be". We both laughed and headed to our respective classes.

During recess, I went to Cafeteria and waited for Blaire. She was a taking a lot of time to appear, so I decided to check up on her and went to washroom. She was not there. Something caught my eye. I looked at the mirror beside me . I saw my reflection looking back at me. No, not my reflection . Reflection of a girl who looks exactly like ME, but she has green eyes , mine are brown. Water droplets started to appear in my forehead. I was afraid but I could not scream. So I asked with a low, fear-striken voice " Who are you?". She then came out of the mirror and said with a stern look on her face, " Hello Sister". I dropped to the floor and everything blackened out.
