10 Living in Hell

For the first time in a very long time, I realized how lucky I was to have such a nice, kind, full of life, selfish, menacing, and awesome best friend. It didn't matter if he was a demon. He was always there for me and always will be.

"Red." He said pausing for a quick moment to take a breath

"It wasn't your fault...but…I would like for you to do as you promised."

I am so lost right now. I have no idea of what promise he was talking about.

"What promise?" I asked softly. I was surprised that he heard me sense my voice was muffled because my face was on his shoulder. But even so, he started explaining.

"It was a very long time ago. We had just taken you in and you were very nice and kind, but never defenceless -which was something mum liked about you- but then, your attitude had changed and you had no mercy with those who wronged you, and I was always by your side. Partly because we grew up together and another part because I enjoyed watching you being mad. You later decided to name me as your best friend, and asked me if there was anything you could do so you could express your gratefulness towards us. My request was for you to stay with us forever when you came to the age of sixteen. And you promised to fulfill my request but until then you were gonna visit us every once in a while, which later turned out to be almost every day."

He was right. I had made that promise. But I haven't told Laci yet. His reaction will more than likely be understanding. Not only do I have to tell him, but I also have to tell my human parents. Not that they would care but I still have to tell them.

"I will do as I said, Kell." My voice was filled with confidence that I didn't feel. I know what I have to do. But that doesn make it any easier for me.

Present Time: Sun, April 12, 2011 3:00AM

Ah, I didn't get any sleep yesterday. The party was much longer than I expected it would last.

"Kell! What time is it?"

"3:01 in the morning!"

"I'll be back at 7:05AM"

"Mkay"

I gotta go meet Laci right now, after, I'll meet my parents and tell them that I'm moving.
