34 Heading Out

Sara and Dara both took a few steps closer to the cell and extended their hands towards us. Laci and I both shook them to close our deal. Dara's threatening tone made sure that we took this seriously saying

"Break the deal and you and all of your loved ones are DEAD"

"Brother, they shook on it, that's enough"

I looked over to Laci while the twins continued to argue our punishment. Laci was still in a really bad shape so I decided to heal him even though he was trying to get away from me to stop me from exhausting myself again. Along with the end of their bickering came the end to me healing Laci, saving enough energy to keep going for a little more.

Dara took the keys out of his pocket and unlocked the cell door, moving aside to let us get through.

"Where to?"

I asked to break the silence with a genuine question. In response I got the stink eye from Dara, immediately understanding to shut up. We walked for what felt like hours but was actually minutes, stopping on our tracks as soon as we saw someone familiar. Instantly knowing who it was I knelt beside Kell hugging him tight while silent tears slid down my face.

"I'm okay buttercup"

"Thank goodness"

I mumbled, not realizing the new nickname and how injured he was. He looked so much worse than Laci and that was a lot to say. Sara broke the silence this time, bringing both Kell and I into the real world.

"How'd you manage to get out?"

"Pure luck I guess"

With a scoff of disbelief coming from Dara, he turned around glaring at Kell and proceeded walking. Laci somehow managed to heal Kell enough so he could walk and breath properly.
