6 Ch 1:1

Crystal was not happy with her father's choices." She can't live here! She belongs in that other place," the princess complained as soon as she heard the news. The man watched his daughter with a frown, but also with understandment." This girl has no other family members. It would be best to keep her here, where she can be safe. Also, having one friend will be good for you, too," the king explained. Crystal understood his reasoning, but still didn't like it. "Where will she sleep, then?"

"There are plenty of rooms in our castle. She may choose a small one to make her own."

"I guess that is fine," Crystal mumbled.

Meanwhile, Lolli was taking the time to explore the supposed "new world." She noted the castle to be less advanced as her normal home. She didn't see anything like computers or televisions as she walked around. She  paused for a bit to drink her bottled water and to take out her bunny plushie." This place is kind of boring so far. But there has to be some magic if the king can make a portal, right?" Lolli huffed," I hope that wasn't a science thing."

"Portals are most definitely a work of science," someone spoke from behind Lolli. She turned to see two very colorful women. The one on the left approached Lolli, the woman wearing a bored expression." Contrary to popular belief, our world runs on science and the many theories that surround it. There is no such thing as 'magic,'" she spoke, glancing at the other person behind her. The other women- who was much more lax- grinned and slapped the former's back." You say that Maxie, but you still haven't been able to explain potions to me!"

"I will understand them, eventually. But you know for a fact that they aren't a priority for me."

"Excuse me, who are you?" Lolli interrupted the adults' conversation. They both looked down at Lolli, curious and annoyed. The colder of the two introduced herself first." I am Maxwell. I am the head scientist of Grandier's- Grandier's..."

"She does all the science for the city! And I, Jasmine, mostly make potions and spells and other magic things," the other finished.

"Though, it isn't necessary to have something referred to as 'magic,' since it isn't real-"

"Don't listen to her, little girl! Magic is definitely real!" Maxwell glared at Jasmine. Though they shared the same shade of purple eyes, their attitudes made them both interesting to Lolli.

"I want to learn about magic!" Lolli said. Jasmine winked at Maxwell- who glared even harder- and crouched to be at Lolli's eye level.

"I can teach you lots, little girl! If you get your Mommy's permission, I can take you to where I work!"

"If I had one, I'm sure my Mommy wouldn't mind."

"Well, okay then. I guess I can take you now."

"After you do that, take the girl to my lab. I won't let you fill the youth's minds with lies," Maxwell interrupted. Jasmine laughed at her green haired friend.

"You wouldn't mind that, would you?"

Lolli shook her head no.
