Medusa Club Murders
Leonard arrived at his destination quickly... His team was ready and waiting for him. A group of Police officers and vehicles were camped in front of the club, not only them a crowd of people gathered to watch and gossip on the net, with an army of reporters to gain their daily dose of rating.
"Leonard"... A man in his 20s approached Leonard. He had a handsome face with a well-maintained body.
"Lexus, have you spoken with the Deputy?"... he inquired.
"Yes, we were expecting you... let's get started... The soul eater did an excellent job; he left nothing behind and devoured every soul"... Lexus conversed
"Prince"... hihihi... a young woman in a colorful dress came running...
"I told you to avoid using bright colors at crime scenes, Bella"... he sighed.
"But, I love this and designed it myself"... she pouted like a toddler...
"You know you can't beat her obstinacy and brainless fashion sense. Let's get started, Leo"... A middle-aged man in a full black gown came towards them.
"Yeah... I get it, Eesah... Let's go in". Leo walked into the Medusa club, and others followed. The view was not that pleasant. Dead bodies lay down on the floor, some covered in plastic bags, and some are being observed b the police officers. Leo and his teams walked through those lifeless human bodies, aiming towards an old policeman standing ahead of them.
"Mr. George", Leo called that man. He approached Leo soon.
"Huh! you showed up, Look at this mess, Leonard, 45 bodies, no sign of an assault, no blood, no poison, but everyone is dead... This is the same case we handled two or three times. Who the hell is this?... How can anyone kill so many people at once? According to our forensic experts, the majority of people were killed at the same time... My head hurts just thinking about it"... He stated rubbing his brows...
"Sir, I understand; please allow me and my team to look into this"... Leo and his team approached some bodies and observed them...
"Lexus, do you notice anything?" Leo inquired.
Lexus' brown eyes shone brightly... his vision blurred, he placed his arm on one of the corpse's eyes and whispered, "Garud, observe"...
Only Leo and his team were able to see the Eagle-like humanoid creature emerge from Lexus's body and vanish into that corpse. Lexus was concentrating on his work while Eesah and Bella stood hiding him from others' eyes.
"No... Nothing... this man saw nothing... he was unaware of his soul being taken... it's the soul eater for sure. And this man is a Leht, his divine spirit left the body when he died, I don't think we can summon it and enquire what happened."... After a few seconds, Lexus said. Garud returned to Lexus's body.
"Hmm... I can sense both yfels and Lehts here among the humans. you'll have to do that to all 45 bodies in order to find some hints and clues"... Leo stated...
"What?... all 45?... are you insane?... I can't do it... it's too exhausting"... Lexus sighed.
"Lexus, we have no other option; you are the only one who can use the past vision technique"... Eesah indicated
"Yeah, that means, I'm the only one in this group with some decent power, what can you bull do? ... Use your head to smack things"... Lexus responded with a cheeky grin.
"What did you say about my Adad? ... I'm the strongest here, little eagle... I have been doing this before you were born, kid"... he responded angrily as Leo looked around the club and the bodies...
"Huh! Stop fighting like married couples, you two machos, and let's go, we're here to find the Soul Eater"... Bella stated as she stood between Lexus and Eesah.
Lexus patted her head, saying, "Yes, kiddo, we were just joking..." While Eesah was laughing
Leo walked around keenly observing every nook and corner of the club. Then he discovered a device inside a flower vase on a corner seat. It looked like a little video recorder.
"Come here, guys... I found a camera-like thing, that was recording"... he exclaimed with delight.
"What?"... Everyone in the room was taken aback.
"That means we'll be able to find some information about this serial killer"... Mr. George, the deputy, arrived.
"Yes, if there are any recorded videos from last night, we might find some evidence"... Lexus responded
"Where is the technical group?" ... Mr. George yelled.
Soul Eater, run and hide for the time being; I'll find you soon... Leo mused to himself...
