The barrier directly exploded into pieces, as it couldn't withstand the force of the three tentacle and was destroyed.

The force of that attack had way more than 1500 damage in it which broke the barrier and what was even more astonishing was the fact that the attack seem to be just a casual attack out of reflex from the monster which shows just how terrifying the monster was.

But although the barrier had broken into pieces, it had given Alvian a slight chance to react. In that moment, he placed his right hand, protecting his heart while placing his left hand to shield his head.

The tentacles was even sharper and faster than a bullet as the first one pieced a deeply into his hand, emerging from the back, directly stabbing into his heart but couldn't move anymore since it was stuck inside by the ribs protecting his heart, creating a nauseating and ghastly looking hole on his hand and chest, looking just like a meat skewer.

The other one slammed into the gun, instantly destroying it into multiple pieces and then continued moving, slamming into hand, but unable to pass through his hand, getting stuck on his wrist bone. It's force had been slowed down by the gun. The pistol that had helped him escape his doom had been destroyed in the process.

The third tentacles had no obstruction and directly stabbed into his stomach, coming out from behind him, bringing with it blood, yellow disgusting pus and a gut-wretching smell.

But then, the monster froze slightly and an indescribable expression of disbelief appeared in its eyes as it gazed at Alvian who was hanging in mid air by its tentacles and then gazed at the large fist size sizzling hole in its left chest.

It's left hand that was still undergoing the transformation and was still in the form of a young girl touched its heart. it couldn't believe what had happened.

Upon sighting Alvian, it had chosen to play with its prey by using its ability and then after a while of getting bored of its prey, it would relish on the prey meat to satisfaction.

The only was that, it had never expected to die by the hands of its prey who was so weak it could crush it into meat paste with a single slap.

A shrill, high-pitched frantic cry escaped it's lips. With its last strength, slammed the skewed Alvian to the ground. The tentacles went deeper into his body.

His wrist bones shattered into pieces and the bones in his ribs broke but luckily, his heart wasn't pieced through by the sharp tentacles.

The beast had stopped shrieking and moving all together and with a thud, it slammed into the pavement and went silent. Alvian grunted and also fell to the ground, knocked unconscious due to the pain.

A sudden ringing sound disturbed the now peaceful environment. Multiple notifications popped up on his phone, informing him about his achievements.

But Alvian had been knocked out cold, bleeding profusely to the ground, a pool of blood forming below him.

The notifications rang non-stop but Alvian was out cold to notice them.

After an unknown amount of time, Alvian grunted, and his eyes flew open. The first thing he felt was intense pain around his body like multiple needles stabbing all right into his every skin but that wasn't all, he felt his hands and chest

This was the most painful he had felt in his entire life. He had done so many dangerous missions he wasn't able to keep count of and barely did any result to this type of life threatening injury.

This was the most dangerous fight he had gotten to and as he recollected just how dangerous it was, a maniac smile appeared in his face, making him look like a mad man. But then, his face distorted back in pain.

Gazing at the dead monster in before him, Alvian's pupils turned sharp. He had never expected something like this to rip out from the imposter's body. At first, he had thought it was going to be a simple matter to settle but then the imposter transformer into these.

As he thought of this, the corner of his eyes caught sight five glowing objects, sitting right next to dead body of the beast. And from the abnormal wave they were giving off, Alvian knew it was no ordinary item. And must have been dropped by the dead body of the beast.

It was then he felt the urgent vibration on his phone which was getting faster by the second. At first, the vibrations had a few pauses in between. But as the time went on, Alvian felt the pauses decrease and the rate of vibration increase.

A ligh bulb went off in his head and he suddenly thought of something. His expression darkened slightly.

The distance between him and the items were literally just 1.5 meters but to Alvian, it was like the distance between heaven and earth.

Hmph!

Alvian grunted in pain as he struggled to stand up, but he barely had any strength to do so. The three tentacles were still connected to his body like a string and him being the puppet.

"Aaaargh!"

He shouted as he uprooted the tentacles sticking his right hand to his chest

"Cough! Cough!!"

Splat!

Blood and fluid mixed with something disgusting splattered on the ground as Alvian spat them out from his throat.

The injuries were starting to affect his internal organs, and from judging by the nauseating smell from his vomit, it appeared as though the beast had infected d him with something. There was no way an ordinary human being would be able to survive not to mention think of walking alive from an injury as grievous as this.

From the increasingly vibration he could feel from his pocket, he knew he only had a little less than 30 seconds left.

He gritted his teeth tightly enduring the pain as he crawled forwards strenuously to the items.

Seven seconds!

Bang!

Moving as an explosion going off in his head and lava passing through his veins and spin.

Six seconds left!

But he was only half way to there. From this, there was no way he was going to make it to the items before the time limit given to him.

He clenched his teeth tightly and then his face turned indifferent. He then grabbed a tentacle with his broken hand and as though he wasn't feeling any pain, he yanked his body forwards with all the strength he could muster.

Shhh!

His body drifted through the ground and he had instantly closed the remaining distance. His brain turned blank but before he slid into darkness, he swept the five items into his embrace and then, the darkness came.
