Alvian shook his head then turned to face the Skill window. He had increased most of his attributes and was able to finally equip the legendary Item. It was finally time for him to upgrade his skills set.

According to his plan, upgrading the [Hand-to-hand combat] skill was at the top of his list as he wanted to experience the pinnacle of that particular skill.

After being aware that there was another realm to the skill which he had not reached, Alvian had become obsessed, to the point of ignoring several assignments trying to upgrade his Hand-to-hand combat but was unable to do so. A small part of the reason he was retried early.

Now that he had finally gotten a chance to witness the next realm to that skill he couldn't wait.

Alvian paused after seeing that it would also cost one unique point. He had a feeling that unique skill points are incredibly rare and he shouldn't waste it.

But he only paused for a second before clicking on the yes button without hesitation.

In the blink of an eye, his points were being sucked dry something that would make any Travelers eye turn red but Alvian only watch with rapt attention and then, the counting down if the points stopped.

"Uhn?" Alvian's eyes glinted and his heart stirred he finally now he finally realised why he wasn't able advance in his hand-to-hand combat skills after almost a year of intensive training. It was because he wasn't entirely focus on a single aspect and had been too greedy.

He wanted to advance in both his defense and offense meanwhile he could have just chosen a single aspect and would certainly have reached Grandmaster. As the saying goes, 'Jack of all trade, master of non'

He is great at both offense and defense but that was exactly what had limited his growth, stopping him from improve according to the information he had gotten from the system.

But it was too late now as his points was already been taken otherwise, with this new information he would have required at lead a month of constant training to advance from Master to Grandmaster stage.

Promptly selecting the first option, despite the fact that there was no real information behind the options, Alvian had a vague idea what the special effect could be used for which was why he had selected the first one without hesitation.

Alvian waited a while but was dissatisfied when he saw no obvious change in his body. Just as he was about to test his strength, and intense amount of heat erupted from his body out of thin air, gushing tyrannically into his body, along every single one of his veins.

The heat wave scorched and then boiled along his body like lava. It was as though his blood itself was being boiled by a stream of burning flame.

Alvian stood rooted to the ground, his face swelling and redding all over. And even several patched of his skin began turning red as though like cooked prawn shells.

Massive volumes of sweat poured out from his pored, evaporating into white steam and then rising into air.

But as quick as the heatwave came, it also left quickly.

Only after several second did Alvian's skin recover its normal colour.

'Good thing my Physique is high, might have been cooked inside out because of this.'

Feeling the effect circulating around his body, Alvian felt his entire body was suddenly light, he knew that he had finally reached the grandmaster state in hand-to-hand combat. His body also began to heal rapidly.

This was making him anticipate the effect of the legendary and Mythic state of hand to hand combat, just how strong would the effect be? This left him shuddering in anticipation just think about it.

Slowly clenching his fist, Alvian began to observe the changes in his body. He could feel some type of explosive wave behind his fist but as he punched out, there was absolutely no effect whatsoever.

Frowning, he took a stance, rooted to the ground and then, afterimages of numerous fist struck the air without warning but to Alvian, it wasn't any different from his Master V state which left him confused.

He halted his movements as he pondered before choosing to forget it about it. Since he felt the upgrade, it means there is something he wasn't aware of but it was certainly there. He simply needed to test this in real combat to know the effect.

Alvian chose to return back, there was something he needed to take care of. His eyes glinted sharply but there was a scary kind of calmness on his face.

It was so calm it wouldn't fail to give anyone who saw them goosebumps.
