Runic Barrier and Nagini's outburst

Orius halted for a moment as torrents of higher quality magic was devoured by Kenneth before taking the lead and heading down towards the exposed stairs under the now floating giant rock. Kenneth who momentarily closed his eyes followed the centaur and stepped underground, he then changed his eyes into that of a cat in order to see better in the dark and fully activated his recon spells.

"What the...." Kenneth muttered.

"Hmm? did you say something Master Bones?" asked Orius.

"No never mind" replied Kenneth. The feedback Kenneth got from his recon-spell surprised him in two ways, one was that due to the higher density of the surrounding magic he was able to see over a much larger distance. The other is the vastness of interior of the underground pathway or to put it more precisely, the underground pathways.

The pathway was made of smooth black marble, Orius's hoofs made loud clamping sound while he lead Kenneth deeper into the where ever they were going. There was golden threads embedded on the walls that lit their pathway, it looked like a complicated circuit board. Kenneth's recon magic picked up multiple tunnels coming from different directions, all heading towards the same direction.

"You said this forest does not belong to the Ministry? care to explain?" asked Kenneth, the interior structure had tickled his curiosity.

"Have you ever heard from your blood purist kind about how the wizarding kind's magic is becoming less and less powerful? Although it has nothing to do with being pure blooded, that is the case. Not just the wizarding kind, even us, magical creatures has found a decline in our abilities over the centuries. Our tribes history logs tell tales of how powerful the ancient wizards and witches were, some were strong enough to shake towns and create disasters. The magical creatures was even more extraordinary, the dragon kind and other powerful beasts had intellect and could rule and live however they wanted." said Orius.

"What happened?" asked Kenneth, he got curious.

"I hope you would be able to tell us that Master bones, once you enter that place. All I know is that somewhere along the line something happened and the knowledge the magical kind had on magic was lost and those intelligent beast became mindless monsters." said Orius with a frown. "But we do have a prophesy of your arrival, the one who would lead the magical kind in a new direction. Of course some magical creatures do not believe this, while you wizards and witches seems to have to have completely lost their connection with their ancient past."

"Are you saying this place was created by the ancient magical wizards and witches?" asked Kenneth, brushing off the part that was related to him.

"It was created by both the wizarding kind and the magical creatures and this is not the only place that exists in this world, there are many, but all well hidden." said Orius.

"But you must have some idea as to what to expect from this place?" asked Kenneth.

"We do not know what this place would give, but we do hope it would be in a form of knowledge. We, centaurs, do not put our hoofs into other magical' s business, but we do care about our own past, present and the future, as well as any knowledge that could enhance our magical ability." said Orius.

Kenneth did not know what to say, he felt very conflicted. He was excited at the thought of gaining new knowledge in magic, but at the same time he did not want to take a risk that might endanger his life. While walking he started to frown, it was because his recon spell detected a wall further down the corridor, to be more precises it detected a non physical wall that blocked his magic.

"Here we are, Master Bones," said Orius after arrive at the magical boundary Kenneth detected. "No matter what we have tried, we cannot go past this point."

Kenneth was not listening to Orius, because he was fully absorbed on what was in front of him. Orius could not see it, but Kenneth through his soul eye could see a circular rune acting as a barrier in the middle of the tunnel. Inside the rune was seven symbols he was very familiar with, the symbol of space, time, gravity, life & death, elements, purity and insight. Kenneth who barely knew any about the origin of the mythical creatures and the symbols knew that this might be his chance to find out more about it.

Without saying a work, Kenneth stepped forward and neared the barrier. The moment he reached out in front of him and touched the barrier with one of his hands, the 7 symbols started spinning faster and spiraled into where his had was in contact with the barrier. Orius, who only saw a glimpse of the symbols as Kenneth touched the barrier, muttered with wide eyes, "The Ancient Tongue". He did not recognize the symbols, how ever from the historical tombs that was passed down in his tribe mentioned that the language that the ancient magical used came to be known as the ancient tongue. By the time he snapped out of thoughts, Kenneth had already disappeared.

Suddenly Orius eyes turned complete white and he stared at the roof of the tunnel as though peering through the walls and into the sky, his eye brows frowned and then jolted in shock. His seer ability had shown him an unfortunate future, so without looking back he galloped out of the tunnel to prepare for what was about to come.

Nagini's Spatial Items - Diagon Alley

As usual, it was a busy afternoon at Nagini's Shop, well off customers would go in and out while the staff was busy accommodating and introducing them to the items available. Unlike the staff, Nagini was lazily laying on a sofa in her office, stretching from time to time and humming a muggle song that Kenneth had to sung to her once and reading a marketing report on the best possible locations in magical Britain to set up her second shop.

Without warning, the report on her had slipped from her grid while her heart shivered involuntarily. Nagini jump onto her feet while her magic seeped out of her uncontrollably with the morning star symbol shining brightly on her forehead, while the furniture in the office visibly trembled. People downstairs, both customers and the staff could feel the tremors and the increased magical pressure.

"Jase!!" she spoke both out loud and in her head, trying best to reach deep into the morning star symbol her her mind scape. The connection they shared allowed Kenneth to feel Nagini's presence and since Kenneth kept the connection open, Nagini could feel the same. The fact that it closed suddenly could only mean something had happened to Kenneth.

The episode only took a moment before she calmed down, it was not the happy lazy business women that was standing in that room, but a powerful witch who had fought and took lives of dark wizards in a wizarding world war.

"Hmph, they are asking to die," Nagini whispered, she who lost so much did not want to lose more, and she was a women who would kill to keep it that way. Nagini put on her robes while her wand flew to her from her office desk, her wandless magic had improved drastically since the past. tapping her foot onto the floor while channeling magic, she instantly created a spatial rune beneath her and with a silver flash, she disappeared, the barriers and wards around Diagon Ally did not even so much as ripple with her departure.

Nagini appeared in front of the Auror Training Ground in West Enfield and walked towards the gate. Her pupils turned bright purple snake eyes, tiny dark purple scales appeared on parts of her skin, while the morning star symbol came into existence, while with every step she took magic pulsed out of her. She walked through the gate and all the magical restrictions as though they were not there, the obstacles were all part of space and she, she ruled it.

The gate keeper looked stunned at the women who walked into the restricted premises with out setting off any of the wards. The thought of a person who was able to do that scared the shit out of him, after all, the entire training ground was constantly fortified with massive amounts of magic and spells. He only froze for a moment as he did what he was trained to do. In a split second, his wand was drawn and a stunning spell was flew out of it without him uttering a word. But the moment the spell left his wand, something unspeakable happened. The spell froze in mid air, still connected to his wand. Even is wand was frozen as he was not able to withdraw it. Before he could process anything anymore, a greenish cyan colored charm shot at him. Knocking him out cold.

Nagini, who had frozen the space around the spell and wand stepped out of the trajectory of the spell and undid her magic. The spell zoomed passed her before smashing into a tree near by. She glanced at the guard that she had just obliviated before disappearing from the spot.

The centaurs gathered around the middle of the camp on the order of Orius who was standing among the middle of them, while the rest of the centaurs was mummering, he was looking at the sky.

"Get ready, she is here" Orius ordered. the rest of the camp, lifted their enchanted bows and spears.

With in seconds, Nagini appeared stand in mid air on top of them. She was standing on space it self, affectively scaring the centaurs. her eyes glowed purple with increased intensity while more and more purple scales appeared on her skim.

She growled, "Where is he?!" her voice chillingly cold, her green magical aura spreading through the air, uncontrolled.

Orius looked at the women. She was not being angry or emotional, but gave of a chillingly calm and grave aura. There was no way she would win if a fight started, centaurs resistance to magic and their own enchanted weapons were highly lethal. She was just one person, while they were many. But he also knew, she was here to kill. However, Orius was going to test her, the women who will stand next to the future King. So he said, "It is none of your business what we centaurs do with those that trespasses us."

Nagini transformed, within second a 150 meters long dark purple snake was in her place, floating in mid air. When she first turned into this form, she was only 70 meters long. However, after he breakthrough to the Blue Core, her space snake form had grown by two times!

The already restless centaurs become more restless, some even fell as they were pushing against each other. Orius immediately regretted his decision, even though he saw all this through a vision seeing her actual size, scared him. Even if they could beat her, just her size would cause too much damage, besides they still had to fend off the other magical creatures of the forest. So he quickly said. "He is safe, Mistress Bones, please calm down and I will lead you to him."

As soon as he finished speaking Nagini disappeared and appeared in front of him in her human form, just slightly out of breath as that form took a lot of magic to sustain and said, "lead the way." Orius did not say anything and turned around and walked towards the center of the camp. From her tone of voice, Orius knew that she would not calm down until she verifies things with her own eyes.

Nagini on the other hand, was being vigilant, her first goal was to get to Kenneth. But she was just called "mistress bones", those two words confused her, but she knew the centaur was talking about Kenneth as this is the last place that Kenneth was at and centaurs rarely allowed human into their camp and they do not make such elementary mistakes as they are seers.

thirty minutes later both of them was standing in the runic barrier. Although Nagini did not talk or respond, Orius explain everything that had happened to her. Now she was sure "Bones" was associated with Kenneth, that he was bigger part of something greater than Voldemort. With a heavy heart, she sighed and turnaround to leave. She could feel Kenneth inside the barrier, as long as he was fine, she did not care about anything else. She actually did not care about what the future held for Kenneth, no matter how big it is, she would always stand by his. But what made her heart heavy was the word "Bones".

"He seems to still have things that he is keeping from me," she pouted as she left.

A/N - I'm a straightforward person and an introvert. I hate winded explanations and excuses, so naturally, I wont explain why I have not uploaded in so long.

but there is a good outcome to that, if we went with what I planned initially. Kenneth would be somewhat OP when he comes out from the barriered zone. but that will change. Ideas of what he would experience would be welcomed :)

Hope you enjoyed!
