Again with the Family of Four

After coming back home, Kenneth wrote a letter to Astoria's family saying everything went well and they should come pick her up. He did not mention the white hair, he wouldn't know how to explain either, He actually thought the changes would not be so drastic, since Nagini had kept most of her looks in terms of hair colour. The other changes were that she was incredibly active, the curse had left her frail, now she did not know what to do with all the new found energy. She was curios at everything and was insistent on doing things like brushing her teeth and washing herself all by herself. She also had developed a liking to meat cooked at medium rare.

Next day, Kenneth was sitting in his workshop and creating items, little Astoria sat on a stool at the side of the table with her feet swinging and she was engrossed by the magic that Kenneth was casting. He was manipulating different metals, turning them into liquid first then transforming them into thin hair strands and weaving then together to make different beautiful shapes.

Nagini walked in after a while and said, "Astoria, look who is here." She and Astoria had bonded in the last day, she really liked the cute little ball of energy.

"Mom! Dad!" Astoria exclaimed, her parents and sister had come to pick her up. She jumped down from the stool and ran to them.

Astoria's fairy like looks had taken all of them back, they forgot to greet Kenneth or reply to Astoria as they stared at their youngest. Oscar looked back and forth from Astoria to Kenneth and said frowning, "Mr. Webb, I believe you owe us an explanation?"

By this time, Daphne had walked up to her sister and hugged her and was now playing with her snow-white hair. Once in a while, she would peek at Kenneth as though there was something she wanted say.

Although Kenneth understood their questioning, he still did not like their tone, he just saved their daughters life in exchange for their knowledge, it was a fair deal. There was no need for him to explain anything. However, he was not going to make an issue about their attitude, after all, they are parents.

Nagini, however, spoke her mind and defended her husband, she said coldly "We saved your daughter's life, Mr. Greengrass. We did not need to."

Oscar snapped out of his slight anger and said, "Forgive me, that came out wrong. I'm not blaming Mr. Webb, I just want to know how this came to be."

"I think it suits our little angel," commented Charlotte. She looked at her two daughters standing next to each other and chuckled. Even though Daphne was slightly taller due to her being older, they shared a lot of resemblance to each other, right now, they both looked like the inner angelic and the inner devilish side of a single person.

"Astoria, why don't you show your parents your transformation?" asked Kenneth, smiling.

"Okay!" she replied excitedly, this was one of the things she looked forward to since she found out she would transform to a wolf, a very cool and cute one in her opinion. Soon there was a cute little snow-white wolf cub in the size of a fox, sitting and staring at her parents and sister. Daphne's mouth went wide open before she closed it and her eyes started to sparkle, she quickly hugged the fluffy wolf cub and looked at Kenneth again, wanting to ask something.

"That's the explanation you are looking for Mr. Greengrass, Astoria will gain notice from the rest of the magical community from now on, after all, it's not normal to have a 6-year-old Animagus, may I suggest that you register her first as an Animagus then tell the daily prophet when they ask, that she had been suddenly been cured of her curse and this was one of the side effect of it," said Kenneth, then he added and lied, "please don't tell them I'm related to the cure, this is not a hospital, and I really had no involvement in her recovery. So even if other blood cursed individuals come, if that person does not agree, there would be nothing I can do."

"Don't worry, Mr. Webb. We know what to do. You don't be disturbed," commented Oscar.

"We need to thank you for introducing that person to us Mr. Webb. Without you, our daughter would have had to live a difficult life," said Charlotte, she went on to giving Kenneth a small curtsy, while Oscar nodded. Astoria had struggled out of her sister's embrace and was running around with Daphne chasing her.

"Please, I barely did anything," commented Kenneth.

"Why don't you all stay for lunch? I have already prepared the food," said Nagini.

"Oh Mom, can we please stay?!" squeaked Astoria, she had turned into a human, while Daphne had a determined look in her eyes, she did not like to talk too much, which made what she wanted to say even more difficult to say. She had never requested anything from her parents, she was scared they would reject and she was even more scared that Kenneth say it was impossible to help her.

"We will be bothering you then, Mr., Mrs. Webb," answered Charlette. She realised her daughter had made bonded with the item making couple. It was not a bad thing, being a Greengrass meant they had to keep their guard up against the other pure blood families and protect what's theirs. This meant that their daughters grew up a bit isolated and had very few true friends they were allowed to hang around with, thankfully they had each other to play with. She was going to talk to Oscar about forming a friendship with the couple.

They chatted while they were eating lunch, a rare steak was especially prepared for Astoria, she wolfed it down. The Greengrass couple was speechless and commented that they will probably eat a lot of red meat from now on. They enjoyed the homely atmosphere, normally in their mansion the dining table was very large, which made eating together a bit lonely and cold, plus they had to keep a lot of etiquette, this was a pleasant change for the family. Even Daphne seemed to relax and ate with a small smile on her face. This was the first time she felt that she had a warm family. Although she loved her mother and father and sister, all the family rules and teaching made her feel a bit distant. Throughout the years, she had gotten more and more quiet. Thankfully she still had her sister, who she could be carefree around with.

She finally mustered her courage and said, "Mom, Dad, can I also be like Astoria?" Then she immediately lowered her head in embarrassment. Oscar and Charlotte looked at Daphne and then looked at each other, Charlotte patiently explain to Daphne, "The reason why your sister changed was because of the curse my dear, you can also become a Animagus, but that will have to wait until you grow up, it's a difficult magic to accomplish, even for us grown-ups."

Daphne looked visibly disappointed, but there really was nothing Oscar and Charlotte could do, they did not lie to her. Becoming an Animagus really was difficult. Daphne lifted her head and looked at Kenneth with hope. He was speechless, what was he supposed to do? He was not her father; did she expect him to help her convince her parents? Her parents did not lie to her, and he was not a miracle worker.

Just when Kenneth was about to disappoint the little girl with his answer, Oscar saw that his daughter really wanted it and she had never asked for anything of them, he really did not want to disappoint her, which father did not want to spoil his daughter, even though he knew Kenneth would refuse, he wanted to get on the good side of his daughter so he place the entire burden of refusal on Kenneth and asked, "What do you think Mr. Webb? Do you think that person will be able to find a way?" Kenneth saw what he wanted to do, he thought to himself, "You old fox, you really are a Slytherin."

"Os!" exclaimed Charlette, she was shocked, trying to turn Daphne into an Animagus was reckless.

"She really wants it, Char, she has never asked us of anything. It doesn't hurt to ask right?" replied the old fox.

However, Kenneth's reply took him by surprise, Kenneth said with a smile, "Well, the curse run in your Greengrass family bloodline. Daphne's curse is probably just dormant in her, I'm sure that person would be very interested to test out if he could activate the curse before curing her. Why don't you leave a sample of Daphne's blood with me, I'll personally deliver it to that person and see what he says."

Daphne's eyes started to sparkle and exclaimed, "I will leave it to you, Uncle Jason!" she then realised she did not get permission from her parents, so turned to her father and said, "Oh dad, pretty please?"

Oscar was speechless, he just wanted to look good in front of his daughter, now he was placed in a rock and a hard place. If he refused, he would look like a hypocrite. So, he put on a bright fake smile and said, "Of course you can!" Then he added to Kenneth, "We will leave it to you Mr. Webb."

"You're welcome Mr. Greengrass," he put on an equally fake bright smile.

"Oh please, call me Oscar," still smiling brightly.

"Oscar it is then, you can call me Jason or Kenneth," he also, still smiling.

Nagini and Charlotte was doing their best not to laugh at the two old foxes trying to get the better hand. While Astoria was in her own world, wolfing down the steak, while Daphne looked at Kenneth as though he was her saviour.
