The earth is now different from the previous era (the 20th century) where the act of war was fought using only technology, but now things have changed; technology has undergone a rapid evolution into another level entirely after the discovery of "mana."

Through this, fantasy has become reality, manipulation of elements of nature has become possible, plants have gained awareness, and animals have gained intelligence. Today is the 25th of August 3015.

in a building almost identical to the past-era houses but with obvious differences.

"I am happy to witness another great day of every year where the new talents awaken their powers." The television in the house displays an elderly man who looks to be in his 50s. At the lower part of the TV, it shows the man's name, "Head Elder Gilbert."

"Dion, you'd better get your ass down here now." Aria, Dion's mother, yelled from the kitchen. 

Aria is a beautiful woman whose alluring body would make any man look twice in her direction, with her jet black hair cascading down her perfect hourglass figure till it reached her waist and her two mount..... well you know what I mean.

"Do you want to miss your own awakening day, for goodness sake?"

As her last word rang out, a young teenage boy in a blue shirt and black jeans appeared on the stairs.

"Of course not; who in his right mind would miss out on his own opportunity to awaken?" hell no!"  Dion replied in a short breath, quickly descending the stairs.

At this time, his mom was already in the living room, and she looked at Dion.

"Ohh!  "Looks like someone is super excited today," Aria said, raising her brow with a smirk.

"Well, I'm nervous," Dion added, his breaths out in anticipation. his black eyes gleaming with light.

Looking at his son's restlessness, Aria smiled while a happy and proud feeling welled up in her heart. Having to raise a son as a single parent is quite tasking, but she figured it out.

And her son, even though he is average in terms of almost everything, is a good son to her.

"Come, let's go and see what ability you've got," Aria smiled at Dion before turning off the TV and walking to the door.

"Are you flying us there?" Dion asked, hoping to get a better answer than before.

"Not a chance," Aria laughed.

"Of course you'd say that." Dion was a little dejected as he walked out of the house.

The city is busting with crowds as people use different means of transportation as they all head towards the same destination. The city center

Cars could be seen moving, though you could just say they're flying. The car is 20 cm above the ground with nothing under it. With the evolution of technology, transport has become smoother and more comfortable.

"We're here!"  Aria said, before alighting from the car while Dion followed suit.

"It won't be easy to find uncle Ben and others here among thousands of people," Dion said, gazing around looking for someone.

"No, they will find us quite easier." Aria crossed her arms as she stared ahead.

Not long after, a group of three strolled towards them. There is a man in his 30s and a woman with a young teen girl.

"Hey Ria," the man called, walking up to the duo.

"How long have you been here?" Aria asked with a smile.

"Just some minutes ago," the lady replied, "Hello Dion." The lady smiled at him.

"Morning, aunt Veronica," Dion smiled back before looking at the man. "Hi, uncle Ben."

"Hey young man." Ben also smiled at him before patting his head.

"Do you remember our last bet?" The young girl at the same age as Dion, who came with her, said with a little smile on her face:

She was a beautiful young girl. Her blue eyes gleaming with light and her blonde hair that reaches her shoulder make her quite busty at the back than at the chest, though the two are a little more than her age.

"Hi Bella, of course I won't forget our bet." Dion raised his eyebrows in amusement, looking at her. "The moment we find out whose talent is much more, I am sure you will be a little sad about betting with me."

"Not so soon, genius." "You don't know if I will have more talents than you," Bella said, putting her hands on her hips.

"I doubt it," Dion laughed.

"You guys can find out whatever you want later; let's get in quickly so we can be in the front seats." Aria quickly put a stop to their bickering while the five of them quickly entered the large hall.

Veronica, Ben, and Aria had been best friends since college. Later, Ben and Veronica got married to each other. They had their child in the same year, but Dion took a few months off from Bella, making him the elder.

People pour into the hall like bees, but no matter how many they are, the hall still contains them. though if looked at from outside, the hall looks small compared to the space that exists inside.

After the arrival of Mana on earth and the evolution of technology, space awakeners—people who have the talent to bend and manipulate space at will—discover the method by which a large space can be created even inside a finger-size cube. But the larger the space, the more powerful the space awakener must be. Though many of them can join hands to do the work, it will still take them some time and energy with a constant supply of reserved mana.

in the hall. On the north part, there was a podium in the air with nothing supporting it. There were seats that surrounded it, though there were none at its back; this was to enable everyone to be able to see the podium from the front.

On the podium was a man. Looking at him, every single person knows him; he was the head elder Gilbert. Every year, he takes charge of the awakeners who are of age.

"As you all know, since the time Mana was discovered in 2780, our people have become strong, and we have a variety of ability users among us." We later learned that every child who reaches the age of 16 will be able to awaken their abilities. Here today, we do this, so we have to know the talent of this generation. The talented ones will be taken in by the government and trained with resources that will make them grow faster. "And the average awakener should not be discouraged either; if you can enhance and train yourself to improve your talent, then this opportunity is also open for you," head elder Gilbert explained. He has done this every year for the past 30 years, repeating this speech every time because it's been considered important to motivate people to be awake before anything else.

After giving his speech, he got down to the main business of the day.
