9 Chapter-9 : Well, that was...... Anticlimactic??

After we all toasted towards are victory, I asked both Morpheus and Winston "I told you to sort out your most trusted men, send them to the Maze, I will brief them on their work and give them their supplies"

"And yeah, I got you guys some gifts, open the bags, you'll find clothes for yourselves, and do wear them before going anywhere, well, see you later"

I said as I led all the men to the Maze, the place where John fought Zero in the original, there were 42 men here.

22 of Morpheus and 20 of Winston, these were the men that were killed by zero's men and the enforcers sent by the table.

"As you know, we have rebelled against the high table, their troops are trained, so are you guys, so what makes them so powerful??"

They all had question mark on their faces, I continued "The difference is of equipment, the guns, the armor, the teamwork and the planning! What you guys need is an armory upgrade, and that's why I am here."

I moved back a little as two men bought a trolley, on the trolleys were kept 50 suitcases.

"Each of you pick one, inside is a pair of suits, two innerwears, your gloves, boots and a helmet."

"You'll wear them now, the high table would send their troops soon, you need to be ready" I said as they all picked one for themselves and wore their apparel.

After 15 minutes, they all looked like they were going to attend a wedding instead of going on a killing spree.

"Now you all look ready. So, many of you may not know, but what you are wearing is a cutting edge body armour, designed by me, it will not only stop bullets for you, but also decrease the damage you receive by them, 100% impenetrable even for armor piercing rounds"

I said as they all looked shocked at that, so much so that they didn't believe it at first, but then...

I shot three guys directly in the chest, but instead of a pained expression, they had disbelief on their faces.

The others looked at this with surprise too, "If you don't believe me, you can try it yourself, always wear these from now on, take these phones and come with me, you are still not armed correctly yet." I said as I bought them all to the basement, Morpheus had bought all the firecrackers I asked him to bring here.

"These will be your choice of weapons whenever you fight against the high table troops."

"These are 12 gauge shotguns, you'll shoot armor piercing rounds with it, the kind of firepower you will need to kill those men."

"Pick your poison, these are Banelli M4, DP-12 and the Kel Tec KSG. One of the finest shotguns available" I said as I waved my hand towards the boxes.

I moved towards the corner as I pulled a curtain down.

"Shotguns are not the only things you will be using, take these AR-15, all custom build with everything you need." I said revealing dozens of ARs all around arranged in an orderly pattern.

"And these my friends, are the 9mm 2011 combat master, each one is brand new and waiting to be used, load yourself up."

As I said that they started to take the weapons, they took the guns, adjusted them to their settings, picked up ammo and loaded themselves and their guns with ammo.

As we reached the reception area of the hoteld. I stopped them and briefed them about their roles.

"There are 42 of you here, you all will form 6 teams of 7 members each. 3 teams will go with the Bowery and John, the other team will stay and guard the continental with Winston and me."

"Form up teams with whom you are comfortable with covering your back"

"Other details would be sent to you tomorrow morning, for now half of you go and take turns while patrolling the hotel, keep wearing your helmets, it will give me your positions and your statusstatus and make it easy for me to give you commands" I said as I went back towards my room.

All of them scrambled as they put their helmets on and went on patrolling the continental.

It was getting dark, in a few hours, the high table would send it's forces to deal with us, but will meet a nice surprise.

Hours went by as the night became silent.

It was 2 AM as two buses stopped in front of the continental, many armed forces came out as they moved inside the hotel.

But unknown to them, danger lurked at every corner, what they were facing were all trained and seasoned assassins.

Stealth was their natural advantage. And with all the lights of and their advanced night vision, their advantage became much higher.

As soon as they crossed the reception area, loud bangs sounded throughout the hotel.

"Aim for their heads, their helmets can't take your rounds" I said as my voice resounded in all of their helmets.

I was sitting in the Maze Hall as I commanded them through my tablet.

With their advanced night vision they could see as good as day even in night and have extra accuracy and strategical advantage due to the heads up display.

It was a total massacre, all 40 of the 'enforcers' sent by the table were dead in matter of minutes.

As I saw through their cameras, I saw flesh pieces all over.

Streams of blood flowed in the corridor, brain pieces were splattered all over.

Bodies had their stomachs blasted oped as intestines were hanging out, even on the ceiling you could see blood.

The fight was totally one sided, they didn't have firepower to even injure one of us. All of them were killed before they had a chance to assess the situation.

I could see Zero and his men entering the continental through the roof, no matter how good their stealth was, motion detection sensors and Thermal cameras were fixed at every corner by me.

They entered the maze as I slided my tablet aside and gestured to John that they were here.

Zero bought his 15 of disciples with him along with his left and right hand men.

As they entered the maze, John and I disappeared from our position, as if just vanished.

It was the result of my stealth skill, it was peak yellow grade now, I doubt anyone else had higher stealth stat than me in this world.

One by one, people started to disappear as both John and me used our swords and knives to silence the enemies.

Zero was becoming more and more careful with his steps as he ordered "Chikaku ni ite!!!" (Stay close!!!)

"Hai!!" they said as they got close.

Seeing this, Joh appeared on left side and I appeared on the right side of the glass corridor

They tried to attack us but all they hit was a glass wall. As they saw in confusion, we disappeared again as two gunshots sounded two heads had a gaping hole in middle of their forehead as their brains spilt on the glass below.

They started to lose their confidence as they gripped their guns close.

John appeared on their lower level and me above their heads once again, they tried to shoot us but only cracked the bulletproof glass.

As the gunshots silenced, a sliding noise was heard as they looked beneath, and what they saw was a clicking grenade.

*Click....Click...Click..Click.ClickClickClick*

*Boooomm!!*

The grenade exploded as the it took lives of 5 people with itself and injuring the remaining, Zero and his commanders had already jumped ahead to they escaped the situation unscathed.

The class below had broken as most of them fell to the lower level that was dyed red with blood.

John took care of them as a few bangs resounded in the maze.

Only three enemies remained.

From the end of the corridor, Zero yelled while looking below "Is this how you wanna do this John?? Is thi.."

Three gunshots sounded as I shot the three of them in the head from above.

This was the problem with villains, they talked too much.

Their bodies plopped down as they had faces of disbelief.

Never in their life they expected that they would die just like stray dogs in the street, no one even listening to what they had.

John looked towards me with a question mark on his face.

"They talk too much John, and they were going to die sooner or later, so I spared the drama" I said as I moved towards their bodies.

"Sigh!" John sighed as he moved towards the stairs to come up.

I checked their pockets and found a phone in Zero's pocket, taking it out I called Karina's number, their names were no secret at this point.

I streched my vocal cords as I copied Zero's voice, my [Voice change] skill was still amazing.

I gestured John to shoot in air as he did just that.

"Is the task completed yet??" she asked from the other side.

"~No, not yet, I can take care of Wick, but they have Bowery's forces here too, we need reinforcements, send more people here, the task could be easily completed then~" I said in Zero's voice as I fired shots into the empty air.

"Noted, they will arrive at the continental in 15 minut..."

That was enough as I shot the phone to make the scenario look more dire.

"So, 15 minutes??" John asked while looking at me.

"Yes.." I said as I took my phone in hands and said in another hurried and desperate voice "~Yes, copy, the Alpha team needs reinforcements, we have been ambushed by more people than expected, send in the Delta Force....Aaarrghh~" I yelled as I fired my glock at fully automatic near the phone. And disconnected the connection.

Now that they had 'confirmed' the situation, they would send more people to die now.

I pressed an icon on my phone's screen as I said "More enemies, ground level, ETA 15 minutes, prepare an ambush, kill everyone"

This voice sounded in everyone's helmets as they all nodded.
