1 The System and Sleep
[Garlhorn Ygnevia Goch] was once an emperor that built his own empire from being and adventurer in the past and now, after discovering a secret ruin while exploring the world after his retirement, he found an ancient tomb that contains not treasure but knowledge, after opening the tomb he gained enlightenment and obtained knowledge far surpassing the gods.
When he checked his surroundings he noticed that he had regained his youth and felt vitality inside him more than that of his previous youth. He then again started roaming the world, this time in search for more knowledge that could have been hidden or forgotten throughout ages.
After some time of searching he began to see a transparent screen in front of him and whenever he looked around he began to see the same thing besides people around him, when he looked at it much closer he can see letters and numbers written in a format that describes his status, like name, age, gender, species/race, and condition, after that he saw something like a measurement of his strenght written as STR and agility as AGI. At first he didn't understood what it meant but due to his overflowing wisdom he quickly adapted to it and decided to call it a status window as it contains information about him and others and also displays status abilities in numerical numbers.
After he adapted to it more and more he began to fiddle with it and notices that there are tab-like button above the status window that reads [Skills] he pressed it and the window quickly changed from his status to a skill list, when he looked more closely he sees some skills that he uses everyday such as "Sewing" "Swindling" "Dancing" "Alcohol Tolerance" and many more, beside those skill names are levels written as LVL and his "Alcohol Tolerance" his LVL:MAX he laughed and continued to scroll down and sees an ominous sounding skill called "Immortality" it has no LVL and is the only rainbow colored skill, below it is "Cosmic Knowledge" that also has no LVL and below it is "Supreme Knowledge" which is max level as well as "Advanced Knowledge", "Intermediate Knowledge", and "Beginner Knowledge".
When he saw this he was dumbfounded and tried to process the whole information, he quickly analyzed the situation and finally regained his calm and continued scrolling, he saw skills like "Instant Learning", "Fast Reading", "Concentration", "Fast Caculation" and others which were all max leveled, apparently he can see this screen because he has the skill "Complete Appraisal", "Status Check", and "Self-Status" also max leveled. After learning more about the status windows' skill list he deducted some things, it's:
1. Max Skill level is Level 10;
2. He can learn new skills when doing certain task one time;
3. He can level up the skill by spending one skill point every level or training it until it reaches a certain progress;
4. He can activate or deactivate the skills of his choosing at will, he just needs to do it in his mind;
5. He can only use some skills when certain conditions are met;
6. Some skills are greyed out which means it cannot be obtained or used as you; already have another more superior skill in your skill list;
7. If he clicks a skill it will show him it's desciption and uses as well as things like cooldown and conditions of use.
His "Immortality" skill affects only his age and cannot negate external or internal injuries as he can die from those, but they can be supplemented with "Complete Natural Recovery", "Status Debuff Immunity", and "Body Strengthening".
He realized that because of his "Cosmic Knowledge" he can learn and train skills more faster and level them up without the use of points and it is also the reason why most of his skills are at max level when he acquired the status window.
When he was done fiddling with the status window he notices that the sun has already set and decided to go to sleep after washing his face. Since he was fiddling all day long with the status window his body has become tired from fatigue and fell asleep the moment he laid on the bed.
Beep! The Status window made a sound but he is already sleeping.
Morning came and he found himself in a dark space, he tried to look around then he saw his status window.
[Skill "Resting" has been acquired]
[Skill "Resting" has leveled up]
[Skill "Resting" has leveled up]
[Skill "Resting"...]
[Skill "Resting" is now at level 9]
He was shocked, "Why did it level up by so much?" he said.
Then he looked at his status window and became dumb founded. His age which is 109 yesterday is now at 1,789! How did this happen!?
