1 Family

Sleeping soundly in bed was a very beautiful woman with long white hair reaching her waist, clear skin, and breasts that would make any man drool and tall enough to make most men cry in jealousy. Well, she was not sleeping so soundly as she was snoring like a crocodile and it was not even morning.

It was 5 in the afternoon and she was still sleeping after a night of intense training so she was going to sleep all day. Sadly it seems her wish was not going to come true. Her door was kicked open and a giant of a man who had to bend down to enter her room. When he went in and saw her sleeping, he looked at her with a terrifying gaze.

She jumped up to see her dad rush at her and he grabbed her ankles and dragged her off the bed until she hit the floor. She was already in shock, but being dragged out of bed was seriously not a nice wake-up call.

"DAD, WHAT THE HELL?!"

Her father looked down at her and began to bang the pot in his hands with the metal spoon and it was making her annoyed and she covered her ears as this was what she could expect from her dad. He was annoying, but what did she expect from him.

He spoke up with a heavy Russian accent in his voice as he looked down at her.

"Oh shut up. Get dressed now Anastacia. That is an order, today is the day you stop being lazy bum and get real work in. Patriotic work may I add."

She already knew what he meant and she expected this day to come. Well, she would still try to weasel her way out of it though.

"Wait, what? What real work? Wait, you don't mean what I think?"

She looked at her father with a bit of fear and excitement in her eyes. He grinned and looked down at her. Anastacia was 6'5, but she still felt tiny in front of her dad who was 7'8 and like a wall of muscle. Big black beard, buzz cut, and red burning eyes looked at her like she was dead meat.

He stroked his beard as he explained her situation.

"I and your mother already signed your enrolment in the Galactic Fleet. We fought out there, your grandpa and grandma, your great grandparents so forth. Now is your turn. Hurry up and find a husband. You're 23 and still single. I want to be a grandpa soon."

Anastacia's jaw dropped and her dad began to leave, however, she grabbed his legs and begged him not to. Even though she really wanted to go, she loved to joke around.

"NO, FATHER. DON'T SEND ME AWAY. I WILL DIE. Do you want your only daughter to die? You know how hard it is to make talent and beauty like me."

He sighed and grabbed her by the nape of the neck and picked her up like she was a small kitten. He lifted her until her eyes were leveled with his. He simply smiled.

"You can't die, none of our family ever died from the war. You inherited my Esper ability, your mother's, your grandmother's, and your grandfather's, so you will be fine. At least I hope. If not I will have another kid and name them after you."

He dropped her on the bed and she sighed as she knew this day would come one day. She looked at the busted door with a look.

"Sentry, fix it."

<Affirmative.>

It glowed bright blue and repaired itself. The house contained nanotech and could repair itself from most forms of damage. One good thing about being one of the top 10 richest families in the world.

She yawned and looked at her body in the mirror before she flexed her arms. She had an impressive physique that was hard to achieve. She may not look like it, but she can lift over 10 tons from her family's great genetics from the generations of genetic engineering.

That was not adding on the four Esper abilities she trained in day after day for the day she would get sent off to fight in the great war. It had been over 500 years since the war began and no end was in sight as the Bugs were just like roaches. Never-ending.

She took off her shirt and she looked at her chest which seemed to grow along with her height. They were impressive E cup and she was glad for her power and height so she did not suffer from back issues.

One of the blessings of being tall. She went into the restroom and took a very quick shower and got dressed in a black t-shirt and hoodie and basketball shorts. She put on a pair of military-issue combat boots and went out into the kitchen where her dad was already stuffing his face with lunch. At his side was a man who looked like him, but older was also eating.

His right arm and left eye were totally cybernetic and two women were in the kitchen cooking. All of them were at least over 6 feet and when they all saw her they clapped as it was the day she would join the army.

The women in her family averaged at 6'3 while the men averaged at over 7 feet tall. She was in the taller spectrum as she was 6'5, but she was still short compared to her father and grandfather.

The older man lifted his glass full of vodka and the rest did as well. Her grandpa grinned and was proud of her as it was a tradition for their family to send either one or all in the war. Call it luck or power, but not one of their entire family died in the war and always came back with full honors.

Along with planets worth of Bug bodies behind them and oceans of purple gore. It was now her turn.

"Hey Ani, hear my bastard son is sending you away. Make your you get as many of those sons of bitches for your old grandpa and for these."

He lifted his cybernetic arm and pointed to his eye. Anastacia's dad scoffed as he was still a brat to his father. The man was 245 years old still was nowhere close to death.

Espers especially from lines as genetically superior as them could make it to 2,000 years with little issue. They were as hardy as they come His name was Vlad and Anastasia smiled as she looked up to him when she was a little girl as he told her stories of the war in vivid detail. He left nothing out and she always saw him as a hero.

He looked 42 and still had huge muscles that would make young men look at him with respect. He was taking a vacation for a time from the army as they did not believe in retirement. An Esper fought to the last drop of blood and mental energy.

"Yes grandpa Vlad, anyway can you let me off the hook? Maybe, I can work in the mines instead of on the moon. Where it is safe. No need to send me off to war."

However, a wooden spoon hit her on the head causing her to hold her head in pain, and a middle-aged woman with a few face scars was right behind her with a scowl. Her grandmother was not a jokester and was always serious.

"What are you even saying? You know this was always in store for you and it is time for you to earn your freedom like all the ones who died. Here, drink"

She poured her a shot of vodka for the tradition. She rubbed her head and she sat back down and drank her shot in one go. Still tasted terrible if she had to say.

"Grandma, why do we always have vodka? Tastes like shit."

Her grandma and grandpa smiled and her grandpa thought about it and explained.

"It was because of the old country before the world united. Our ancestors were from Russia and apparently, it was a way to keep the culture going. Tastes like shit, but it is a tradition we keep going for our ancestors."

They were all still talking in Russian as while the word was united with a world government most languages were still being used and soon she would be sent off-world for the outer rim of the war zone with the Bugs.

That was the derogatory term they were given to the aliens. They were like insects and tasted delicious so most of the meat from them was sold in stores as a delicacy.

Their shells were used in armor and for the last 100 years had been a stalemate as neither side could destroy the other. Humans had better quality soldiers and Espers, but the Bugs could mass-produce them.

Still, if the Bugs managed to get an EX potential esper first before humanity, the balance would tip. Both sides wanted their EX espers, but none had ever appeared.

As she thought of that a very beautiful woman who looked about 30 hugged Anastacia from behind and ran her hand down her daughter's hair. She was glad her daughter was sitting as otherwise, it would look funny.

This was Anastacia's mother who was one of the trump cards of humanity as she had one of the strongest Esper abilities on record, Nuclear Fison. Even if her daughter would most probably be fine she was still worried.

Her mom was shorter than the rest of the family at 6'1 and had pitch-black hair. Anastacia got her white hair from her grandfather. Her grandmother had black hair, which her father had.

Her name was Maya.

"Anastacia, how do you feel about your deployment?"

Anastasia smiled as she always honest.

"Being honest, excited, and scared, but it has actually been my dream since I grew up with stories of the war. I know it is my turn to cause as much bloodshed to the Bugs."

The whole family froze and they all began to shake in a rage and the entire continent was shaking as her grandfather had two abilities, Terrakinesis Esper ability, and Cryokinesis, both at the SSS class potential.

On his own, he had killed Billions of the aliens on his own. It was why his title was Earth Shaker and Hel bringer. It was because of those two abilities that when needed he would slaughter the planet's worth of them.

"They are unfeeling monsters. They send out wave after wave of their own who we know are sentient, but they act like ants. We need to end them at the source no matter what. We will hunt them to the last one. However, even after the hundreds of planets, we have taken we still don't know where they come from."

Her grandpa calmed down and he looked at her. The people were used to these small tremors, but the cities were built to deal with planetary bombardment so it was just another day on Earth.

"You have my cryokinesis, your father's pyrokinesis, and most importantly your mother's Nuclear Fission and my wife's Telekinesis. You are the pride of our family, go out there and exterminate them. Make sure not one is left in your wake, do I make myself clear?"

She stood up and saluted.

"Yes sir."

He smiled and he looked at the whole family. She sat back down and they all ate a big meal made of Bugs as they ate she listened to detailed explanations of the planets her grandpa and grandma had taken from the bugs.

They were not even given a proper name and were called Bugs as they were like insects. They were humanoid, had a black carapace and advanced weapons and they also had Espers, but the human race had more.

The bugs still had number tactics and they breed like roaches so it was like they had infinite numbers, but there were just more to exterminate like the Bugs they were.

When the meal was over the dishes were cleaned by the house robot butler and Anastacia got up.

"Well, I am going now. I just have to go to the military base?"

Her dad nodded.

"Just go, you have been out there for years training and they all know you. Get ready, you are going to go through your augmentation surgery on top of your superior genetics might seem overwhelming. I know when I went through, I punched through so many walls."

Her mom smiled.

"You mean buildings? Cause if I am not wrong you destroyed quite few."

They all laughed and just as Anastacia was about to go out her grandfather called for her.

"Anastacia, wait a minute. I want to give you something that is very dear to my heart and our family's pride. It's your turn to wield them."

When her father heard that he smiled as it was her turn to carry them as his time with them had passed and everyone left her and her grandpa alone. He had got a suitable replacement, but it was not as good as those were.

"What is it?"

He smiled and got up and motioned for her to follow him.

"Follow me, you deserve them more than anyone."

She followed him who led her to the basement where a huge metal case was sitting on a stand. The case was a pitch blade and her grandfather seemed to have a lot of care for it. He approached the case and, ran his cybernetic hand over it.

He placed his left hand on the hand scanner and the case opened up to reveal two huge Odachis. When she saw them it was like she knew the amount of blood those blades had on them was overwhelming.

They reeked of bloodshed and the suffering of the Bugs they had massacered. The amount of life they had taken gave the blades a blood aura and yet it was an aura that seemed made for their family.

They were easily over 7 feet and had metallic black sheaths and red handles. He picked them up like they weighed nothing and looked at the blades with care. He looked at Anastacia and explained the story behind the blades.

"These were forged by my great grandfather from the body of a general Bug and the rarest and strongest metal and materials he could get from the reaches of our empire. The Bug was an Esper who had the metallurgy at SSS and it resulted in these blades when he was killed by him."

He smiled as he remembered his days when they were his to wield. The day his son joined the Army they were passed down to him. They were kept secret as it was a surprise for every one of the families that would use them in time.

"As that bug killed several of his comrades in a rage as a final disrespect he turned its body into weapons against his own race. It was blood for blood and these blades for our family's time in the war strike fear in those Bugs."

Hearing the story behind those blades made sense why they had such an aura. They were made from the body of one of their strongest and used to kill their own race. He smiled when he saw she had the same eyes as all the ones who were chosen to use them.

"These swords were used by him, my grandmother, my father, me, your father, and now you."

He passed them to her and when she took the swords in her hands and drew one from the sheath. The blade was pitch black and shined with a razor-sharp edge.

He looked at them and smiled.

"Just like the day they were mine. Let me tell you, they will never break as when it was forged my great grandfather used the Bugs Esper Ability to his advantage. That Bug's carapace was more like metal and it was melted down along with several materials to make them. Look closely."

She looked at the blade and saw what looked like small veins in the sword. They pulsed like they were alive which was interesting.

"It is dead, but they are like a living organism. They drink the blood of the Bugs to grow stronger and maintain that edge. Let's see if you can be the first to kill one more of those bastards."

She looked at him and stood straight.

"I will kill as many as I can with these to honor him and all those who have fallen to the bastards."

"I hope you do, come one I will take you in the gunship"

She followed him outside and strapped the swords to her waist and lucky for her the sheaths could open up as they were just too big to draw.

She followed him out to the roof of their house where they had many military vehicles. As her family was one of the strongest in their Empire they were given the right to keep military vehicles like the gunship her grandfather had.

He fired the engine up and the huge war machine came to life and she got in the back seat and he took off toward the army base. When the people saw the huge war machine they all looked in awe and respect. Their freedom was a result of the sacrifice of the soldiers who protected them.

On the way, Anastacia's gaze was on the swords and she was ready for a life of military service. She looked dead ahead and was ready for what the Bugs had to give her. It was her turn to cause them as much hurt as she could to pay them back for their filthy existensed.
