8 No hesitation

Some people would always brag about how everything they ever achieved happened mostly because of their hard work. At first, I considered this kind of behaviour or even belief as silly if not outright shameless, but as I grew, I learned to pity those affected by it.

In my case, most of my exploits turned possible because of nothing else but my guts. Their voice was my greatest advisor, prompting me in the directions that ultimately resolved in me taking the reins of nearly the entire finance of the whole organisation in my hands. Obviously, one could claim that my gut feeling would save me from dying to the conspiracy of my subordinate, but I would rather say that it was the excitement of transferring the last batch of the money before I would likely get promoted and reach the peaceful, worry less life I always wanted…

If my mind wasn't preoccupied with the perspective of finally achieving my main goal in life, then maybe I could dodge that truck. Maybe, or maybe not. There was no point thinking about it right now. The thing is, I had absolute trust in whatever my guts were whispering to my soul.

And heck, right now they were going to push me down the ledger!

"Did you just refuse my direct order?"

It wasn't that this strange female was angry. To be closer to the truth, she was outright surprised that anything even remotely appearing as insubordinate would ever come close to her eyes, not to speak, affect her personally.

An utter and complete shock and disbelief, mixed with a dose of doubting whether the reality was actually… real.

"My lady. I said my piece. You will do what you must."

I didn't threaten her. My voice was clear and devoid of any shenanigans of this sort. Full with nothing but confidence and calmness. Just like my eyes that I dared to direct right against the stare of this powerful female.

For anyone within the crowd around us, it had to be clear that no matter what, I would never stand a chance against the woman in front of me. It was as clear as the sun from how their expressions ranger for pity to live excitement. But that didn't mean that facing off against her would be completely impossible!

Taking a deep breath in, I could feel the fresh air filling my lungs with its raw, unadulterated power that was long gone from the polluted atmosphere of the earth. Feeling the energy created by the fresh oxygen moving around my body, I silenced out my mind, preparing for the worst.

"Hahaha!"

Suddenly, the woman broke her cold appearance, wrapping her hands against her own stomach and bending nearly in half from the sudden attack of joy.

"Okay, okay. You don't need to be so wary of me. I didn't come here to bite, but to guide."

Taking a moment to calm down, the female finally moved her chest back to the normal position and wiped out a tear of joy from the corner of her entrancing, blue eyes.

"Either way, I really know nothing about those mannequins, so I have no idea how am I supposed to test you otherwise."

Still having trouble to keep her lips in the neutral position as those two delicious pieces of flesh continued to convulse, prompted by her chest still acting up in laughter, the woman actually had to take yet another moment to calm properly down.

"Oh, wait! I have an idea!"

Dropping the pretence of being a serious and respected teacher, the female started acting like some kind of girl during a festival that found an exciting game to play with her friends. Maybe it was her true character, or maybe that's how she reacted to something that clearly exceeded beyond what her common sense suggested would ever happen. If it was the second case, then my presence and actions alone managed to expand her world by a huge margin.

"How about you will hit that guy?"

Pointing her delicate hand at the examinator, the woman was about to say something, before my words interrupted her.

"Full force?"

Watching with glee the woman's lips vibrated when she suddenly had to stop herself from speaking, turning her face into an expression of gentle helplessness that could sway the heart of any other man who saw it, I only waited for her slightly confused nod.

As if some vandal cut off the ropes that hold the mannequin of my body in the grand theatre of life, my entire body suddenly went limp. All the muscles relaxed, making it look as if I started to fall down on myself.

Tense.

Tightening the specific parts of my muscle as rapidly as I relaxed them a fraction of a second ago, I jumped forward in a fashion far quicker than what one could achieve by acting normally. If not for this automatic bodily reaction of relaxing, the time that the order to engage would take to be processed in my mind would be wasted, putting me a second or so behind.

Appearing right in front of the desk, I could feel my completely relaxed right hand lagging behind the rest of my body. Righ when my toes touched the ground again, my wrist tensed up and started to move forward. When my entire foot firmly attached itself to the ground, my forearm tensed up, adding even more momentum to my tightened fist. When my centre of mass moved beyond the line from the resting point of my feet, my entire arm already engaged in the process of bringing my fist right into the poor man's guts.

SLAM!"

Burying the pointy part of my fist right against the examinator's ribs, I started to swirl my hand around as the force of the attack started to enter the man's body.

Crash.

Before anyone would react, the wooden desk broke in half from the sheer force of my attack, as the man's body flew backwards, instantly crashing against the crowd!

"That will be more or less it."

Raising my eyes, I calmly noticed a huge ravine in the middle of the entire mass of the people, marked by the path where my hit carried the examinator.
