Yusheng walked out of the study, his expression was dark and stormy warding off anyone who approached him. Well... that meeting with the elders obviously didn't go very well...

"Huiyin, let's go." After speaking with the elders Yusheng's mood had gone sour and could not be bothered to stay and chat. Mama Long wanted to stop him seeing as he hadn't attended the dinner for the past two months. It's been a while since he'd sat and caught with the family, but the atmosphere had already been ruined so there was no point.

"..." When he didn't hear anything from her, he turned to look at her. Her head was bowed and her hands clenched her skirt. She was 'hurt'. Well, that's what Yusheng thought, Huiyin was simply just acting...

I was wrong first. If we don't have a wedding it's fine as long as I get to stay with you..." Her two watery eyes looked up to him. Her words only made Yusheng feel more guilt towards her. She still blamed herself for everything, how long would she accept everything from everyone because of that guilt. It there was anything Long Yusheng couldn't have it was a soft-boned wife. He was THE Long Yusheng, it would bring him too much trouble if she was too easy to bully.

"Don't ever apologize for anything ever again. And I'll make this promise to you to give you a proper wedding in the future." He grasped her small palm in his hand.

"En!" Although she agreed, Yusheng could still hear the doubt in her voice.
