Chapter One

~ Let your imagination run wild and free

"Left, left, left right left! Left, left, left right left!" The chant continued on until no one had any air left in their body from running and chanting in an orderly fashion. Their ninth grade gym teacher was a retired military official aging only twenty nine. His arm had been replaced with a robotic one after getting blown off along with a part of his leg. Every year kids would ask him how it happened and what mission he was in, but he would say it's a need to know and they didn't need to know.

"Alright! Five minute break." some of the kids sat down where they were while others went to get water from the fountain. Two girls, a brown haired and a red haired , raced to a tree giggling like the previous run didn't bother them in the least. People looked at the two in envy and fear.

"Charlotte , did you bring it? Did you?" Autumn slid in the soft green grass under a shady tree- making herself comfortable for what they were about to do next. Charlotte rolled her eyes and pushed some of her hair behind her ear and pulled a book from thin air. There was a reason why they were feared. when they first found the book, they just played with it at first, butas time on, they gradually found that they could do anything they wanted with it's power. Luckily for them, they weren't evil girls who wanted everyone to bow down before them- not yet at least.

"How could I ever forget it when you reminded me non-stop, and besides, I want to try this new spell out too. Now who do you think will be lucky or unlucky. Depending on how the spell reacts to them." Charlotte asked while preparing for what was going to happen next with a devious smile. Autumn's eyes shown with the mischief they may or may not cause.

" Let's try it on our renowned jock, that tiny nerd, and hmmm how about the new girl. Annabella right?"

"Alright then, those three it is- Long yet short, short but long, go to the top instead of the bottom, long yet short, short but long, grow out on the top and make it very long." Autumn watched as the three lucky or unlucky people became their genipig for their spell.

The famous jock, Gregory was catching a football when he suddenly stopped from feeling the cool breeze on his legs. he looked down, and to his surprise, his pants started to disappear along with the rest of his clothes. The sa,etc thing started to happen to the nerd Dexter- who was still lying on the ground exhausted and panting - jumped up and ran faster than the track star to the boys locker room. Annabella, the new girl, was more unlucky. She was talking with the coach and was the furthest away from the girls locker room. When he clothes started to disappear, most of the boys were waiting in anticipation of seeing her clothes disappear from her body, but were disappointed because she had more than on set of clothes on. By the time she reached the building, three sets of her clothes had disappeared and a tattoo could be seen on the side of her body, starting from under her armpit to the middle of her thigh. The tattoo was beautifully done , but there were school rules on tattoos and she would most probably have to switch schools.

"Oh, poor girl. At least her hair is at least to her waist now." Autumn pouted her lips at the outcome of the spell, but looked away indifferently as if it didn't really matter what had happened to them. Charlotte frowned when she heard what Autumn said but didn't make much of it.

"Hey." The girls , immersed in their thoughts, turned to look at the owner of the voice, which was none other than Annabella. She was dressed differently than before- and looked much different than her usually self. Annabella wasn't fat, but she also wasn't skinny. She had a chubby waist and thick thighs. Now, her waist had slimmed down and the curves of her body were hard to ignore coupled with the black, three finger wide tank top and tucked into her loose black pants that had deep two deep pockets on each side.

She looked up to the sky and sighed, "Why do I have to babysit a couple of noobs?" Confused but wary, Charlotte and Autumn started backing up slowly. one step. two steps. a few more and they turned to split but Annabella grabbed them both and disappeared. Nobody cried when the two girls disappeared. All uttered a sigh of relief and went back to their daily lives- without any magic this time.

Charlotte and Autumn's parents didn't bat an eye when a couple of strangers knocked on their door and said the girls were going to a special school for people like then. Charlotte sighed and didn't take it to heart, she knew that people feared them for what they could do and was glad that they only feared and didn't try to manipulate them.

Autumn on the other hand, shook with rage as she saw her parents readily sign all paper works so the school would basically be adopting them. She loved her parents with all her heart, so why did they just abandon her? She wouldn't understand until it becomes too late to change a fate no magic can undo.

With the raging emotions in her heart, she sweetie to pay them back. Charlotte glanced at her through the side of her eye and pulled her close so her head was on her chest , "shhh. it's how the world is. People feared us, now people might like is. We won't be the only ones with power like this and can make more friends this way. Forgive and forget Autumn. Forgive and forget." Autumn called down and just started there and closed her eyes, hoping it'll all go back to normal. Before they found the book.
