30 Chapter 29: The World Within The Stone (4)

(AN: Damned training arc taking too long. Will end soon don't worry.)

The man recovered from his shock. He watched as Ulquiorra go to a fair distance before standing in one spot completely still. The man now had time to recompose himself.

"What a lad. He is immensely strong and talented. He's still so young, but even the supreme talents we had back then would be left in the dust by him considering that I doubt the resources he has right now is not even one-fourth of what those talents had. Still, I wonder what techniques he's using? He kicked me instantly and with such great force. That's not something even a Sea Refinement realm could do." The man said to himself.

"That's the mystery of Ulquiorra, Feng Zhong." A voice sounded out within the man's consciousness.

The man wasn't startled. In fact, he was already given a heads up about Ulquiorra by this person before the kid came, but he didn't believe in it. All he thought was that Ulquiorra was a bit above your average talent. Still, he was sorely mistaken. He should've listened more to his master, Tian Cai.

"Greetings, Master Tian Cai." Feng Zhong said in his mind.

"No need to greet. I'm just checking up on Ulquiorra. He is a peculiar one. He has soul strength that surpasses even my own right now. From what he showed me, his soul strength would be equal to that of Nascent Soul cultivator." Tian Cai said.

(AN: This is base form soul strength.)

Feng Zhong's eyes widened hearing this.

"Preposterous." This was the only word Feng Zhong could say after hearing that.

He then heard Tian Cai laugh in his mind before speaking.

"You doubt your master? Do not worry! You will also know about it in the future. Also, he's already proven his worthiness as the sect's inheritor the moment he grasped such a sublime true intent! The test was only to see if the individual could understand true intent within one year! Ulquiorra blew all expectations away! All of us will be taken with him as we'll be stored inside the sect's treasure. Strong he may be, we still aren't sure if he is well-versed enough to revive a sect." Tian Cai said.

"What if he's not willing to revive our sect?" Feng Zhong replied with furrowed eyebrows.

"Then that's that! We did what we could, and if it fails, then that's fate! We already faded along with the passage of time. This is just our final resort." Tian Cai said as his voice slowly faded away the more he spoke.

Feng Zhong didn't reply. He knew his master had already gone away to monitor the other tests if there were any. In any case, Feng Zhong observed Ulquiorra silently. He continued doing so as time slowly passed by.

Now, it's been a month since Ulquiorra entered the intent stone's world. Feng Zhong saw a lot of interesting things happen to Ulquiorra. While Ulquiorra stood still, Feng Zhong could sense Ulquiorra's qi and intent move and even flare up multiple times. There were times that the thin veil of aura intent on Ulquiorra's body appeared, and then suddenly expand before crumbling. There were times that it tried to become a dome around Ulquiorra, but fail to do so.

Feng Zhong could see the trial and error that Ulquiorra did. Feng Zhong knew that achieving the last step of achieving intent aura was far more difficult than the other two steps and even achieving true intent combined. This was why he waited.

--------------------

Ulquiorra stood there silently. He had his eyes closed as he simulated and tried many different forms. He put most of his focus on this, and what was left was used to detect what's happening around him. From what the man said before, he needed to imagine the intent aura as a part of his body. The thing is, he wanted to surpass just having it as a mere part of it.

His initial idea was to treat the intent aura to something akin to one's ressurreción. Specifically speaking, he used his Murciélago as a basis. The way his spirit energy covered him as he transformed was loosely used as a basis for a body-covering aura. Still, he failed despite trying various ways. It even got to the point where he tried using it first as a tail or a wing as test run just to see what he lacked, but still, he failed. Ulquiorra felt once more that he was missing something.

After the inital month passed by, Ulquiorra spent another week trying to figure things out. He was not used to doing such trial and error, but still, it was a new experience, and he was not adverse to it. Before the week ended, Ulquiorra suddenly had a flash of inspiration. He realized what he lacked.

He had true intent that symbolized nothingness. It was a true intent that was calm when unbothered, but striked with no mercy when provoked. It signified absolute calm, but at the same time, it signified that it could annihilate what stood in its way into nothingness. Thinking about it like this, what could be used as an example that had similar features to that, and at the same time, could have resemblances to the initial stage intent aura which covered the body. It took him awhile as this was not seen in Hueco Mundo, but within the world of the living, but now he had the answer as he remembered another espada. There was one answer.

It was the ocean.

--------------------

Feng Zhong was still observing Ulquiorra. He was ready to wait until the end of the one year deadline before seeing Ulquiorra make major progress. In fact, it took himself twenty years of rigorous training and reflection in order to achieve just the initial stage of intent aura. Achieving true intent was something that also took many years.

It was already extremely monstrous for Ulquiorra to achieve true intent so quickly. Suddenly, Feng Zhong felt a massive spike of intent and qi from Ulquiorra. He could see intent aura gushing out from Ulquiorra's hands, and then surrounding his body. The gushing stopped leaving an extremely calm yet dark green intent aura surrounding Ulquiorra showing only his front. Fang Zhong gaped at the sight.

"It couldn't be...." Feng Zhong muttered.

Ulquiorra's eyes opened slowly. He reached out, and a dark phantasmal sword appeared in his grasps. He raised the sword above his head, and swung it down slowly. Suddenly, the calm dark green aura surrounding Ulquiorra surged, and a large dark green sword wave appeared as it sliced through all its path. What was surprising was that every cut it made was incredibly precise and clean. Feng Zhong gaped at the sight. He was about to speak, but suddenly saw Ulquiorra fall to his knees. Ulquiorra spoke out with an emotionless voice despite feeling immense fatigue.

"So it seems that my cultivation is sorely lacking for this technique yet..."
