19 Chapter 18:Realm In The Thousand Demon Forest (1)

A week has passed since the meeting with the Patriarch. So far, Ulquiorra spent most of his time cultivating, studying, and sparring whenever he could. Qi was a very interesting energy for him. Compared to spirit energy, it was vastly easier to manipulate and use.

He realized this from how Nian Zhen showed him the various types of qi attacks one could do. Nian Zhen showed him that one could coat there weapons and clothes with layer of qi that could also act more than a protective barrier as it could also damage the attacker to a certain extent depending on the strength difference. One could also create projectiles and qi attacks. In a sense, the closest thing he could use as comparison was the Kido arts that soul reapers used.

He also started to study the language of this world with the use of the sect resources. He was learning the symbols and their meanings. So far, he's been doing an immensely good job. Ulquiorra could easily remember everything he learned. Nian Zhen was once again in awe of Ulquiorra's prowess. At this point Ulquiorra was now second level Qi condensation realm. The speed it took him wasn't as absurd as the first day, but was extremely fast nonetheless.

Right now, Ulquiorra was in the small courtyard behind their building. Ulquiorra was cultivating and trying to understand qi even further. He was able to get some cultivation techniques as reference, but he felt that he should cultivate based on his instincts for now. He felt that he could continue this way until he reaches Foundation Establishment realm where the concepts are different from what he knows so far in the past life. Ulquiorra sensed Nian Zhen approaching.

"Ulquiorra, are you ready for an interesting adventure?" Nian Zhen said.

Ulquiorra ceased his cultivation. He opened his eyes, and looked at Nian Zhen. He wondered what this woman had in mind.

"Three days from now, the sect will be sending in people to enter a hidden realm. I was asked by the Patriarch if I could send some disciples, and I decided I'd send both of you and Wang Yang. So far, only people under the Golden core realm could go in. Anyone with a higher cultivation realm would be blocked by a barrier." Nian Zhen explained.

"I see. I do not mind." Ulquiorra blankly replied.

"Great! Wang Yang already agreed. Also, it's best for you to use this. Wang Yang already has his own." Nian Zhen handed Ulquiorra a ring.

"What is the purpose of this?" Ulquiorra said as he examined the ring.

"It's a precious storage ring! Only a few have access to such a precious item, but thankfully, I have one more to spare thanks to the sect. To use it, try sending a tiny bit of qi into it. The absoluye minimum realm to use this is that of a Qi Condensation realm so you should be fine." Nian Zhen said.

Ulquiorra did just that, and was greeted by some sort of void. He sensed that he could put in or take out some items depending on his will. He was mildly surprised at this tool. It was a very convenient thing.

"It'll take a bit of time getting used to it though. Try practicing putting in and taking out items until you find yourself able to easily do it in an instant." Nian Zhen said.

Ulquiorra nodded.

"Good! In any case, I have to go. The pills I ordered from the Alchemy association should be done today." Nian Zhen said as she left.

Ulquiorra looked at the storage ring once more before resuming his cultivation. He really did not need any sort of preparation aside from a bit of food at most. Recovery pills? Please, he had his regeneration that's been improved by qi.

In the Azure Peacock sect, Lu Zheng was in front of two other elders. Lu Lin served them tea. She bowed as she left.

"So, what did you call us here for Elder Zheng?" An elder with a goatee said.

"I also have the same question as Elder Kan." Another elder said. This one had a long beard akin to a goat.

"It is a trifling matter, Elder Fan and Elder Kan. I just wish to ask for assistance in a certain matter just in case." Lu Zheng said.

"Ho? What is this trifling matter then?" Elder Kan asked.

"Well...." Lu Zheng pretended to hesitate.

"Don't be shy now, Elder Zheng! We're from the same sect after all. As long as it's not over the top, then surely it can be done!" Elder Fan urged Lu Zheng.

"The problem would be that there's this one disciple from the Vastmoon sect that brought me great shame. Believe it or not, he was a mere child with the cultivation of a Qi Condensation realm!" Lu Zheng said.

"Qi condensation realm? How could that be? What did he do exactly?" Elder Fan asked.

"Indeed, what has he done that could anger a Golden Core cultivator like yourself?" Elder Kan added.

"Sadly, that individual gravely injured my disciple, and has also slandered both me and the sect. He said that our sect is nothing to be afraid of, and that it is but a mere ant under his feet! Were it not for Nian Zhen protecting him, I would have slapped his face to discipline him." Lu Zheng said with a sad expression behind his fan.

"WHAT?! WHAT MOCKERY! DOES HE TAKE OUR AZURE PEACOCK SECT AS A SOFT PERSIMMON! I'LL GLADLY HELP YOU, ELDER ZHENG!" Elder Kan raged.

"I TOO WILL HELP!TELL US HIS APPEARANCE, AND WE'LL TAKE CARE OF HIM SILENTLY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!" Elder Fan added.

"Thank you, fellow elders!" Lu Zheng said.

Lu Zheng was glad. He finally roped in some helpers. He gave a description of Ulquiorra's appearance to the elders, and they promised that they would have people keeping an eye put for him. The two elders left Lu Zheng as they would also prepare their disciples to enter the realm. It was found in the Thousand Demon forest so it would be an arduous journey nonetheless. Lu Zheng smiled wickedly.

"Get ready, Ulquiorra. I'll have your head soon."
