4 Easily Forgiven Co-workers

Of all places she could meet him, it had to be here at this very moment.

Fu Hua tilted her head up to look at him. His deep dark eyes, smug look and tan skin…everything about him was the same. Years have passed yet he only grew to be more charming.

The only person to have really changed was Fu Hua. Not only her looks but her mentality. This time around, she would not be fooled or charmed by his deceptive looks. To be exact, she only felt disgust when she started at the current him.

"Who the hell are you?" Yang Ye snapped.

"A gentleman should never lay a hand on a woman." Dong Hai let go of his hand while using a bit of strength to push Yang Ye a step back. Yang Ye stood tall and firm as he placed his hands on his hips.

"This is my business with her. If you don't want to get hurt, I suggest you back off." Yang Ye threatened.

"Oh? But I'm making it my business."

"Fine. You asked for it yourself." Yang Ye moved forward.

Fu Hua watched at the sideline. She was amused. These two men, she could care less for. So naturally she had no worry about whether they would be hurt or not.

Yang Ye made the first swing yet he missed. Four exchanges of fists later and Yang Ye was down on the ground. Dong Hai stood in front of the fallen Yang Ye and fixed his black dress shirt. "You owe this woman an apology." He was set on making Yang Ye apologize.

"Are you o…" Dong Hai turned to ask but she was gone.

Three days. It took Fu Hua three days to erase the annoying Li Dong Hai from her memory.

On the fourth day of coming to work, all her coworkers were scared of her. Even the tough and chubby Wong Kai looked away when he heard her footsteps. These past few days were brutal. Whenever they asked her anything, she would hit her fist on the table and grunt angerily. They didn't know what they did wrong. Even the kind Ming Ming got startled. To be exact, all four people in the room did. Wong Kai, Ming Ming, Yu Tian and Man Tao the manager hid like a turtle. Days in the office were truly too brutal.

Everyone watched as the door slowly opened. All eyes widened with sweat forming from their back.

"Good morning everyone," a cheerful Fu Hua said as she elegantly walked to her desk.

*Sigh* everyone looked at each other confused. But whatever, they could finally breath again! The horror had passed.

Ming Ming rushed over and sat next to her with arms leaned on the desk. "Fu Hua~ Are you feeling better? Was anything bothering you?"

Everyone else in the room was curious but dared not ask. Wong Kai was at his desk pretending to look over financial statements while Yu Tian and Man Tao were both holding a binder as they "double checked" to make sure things were correct. If only they knew they were being VERY obvious.

Fu Hua's fingers paused on the keyboard. "Something was bothering me?" she asked confused.

"En! You seemed very different these past few days. Like you were…" she didn't know if she should say it.

"Like I was…"

"Like you were going to strangle someone to death."

*Chuckle* Fu Hua actually let out a soft laughter.

Was she crazy? Thought Man Tao.

Fu Hua forgot that she can become quite a character when she was angered. These past few days must have been hard for them. "I ran into an ex-classmate."

"That's it?" Ming Ming asked surprised.

"En! We didn't have a good relationship."

"Fu Hua!" Man Tao slammed the binder on the table. This time everyone in the room jumped. "You nearly suffocated us with this deathly atmosphere over an old classmate?" he pointed his finger at her. Gosh, he had never felt so foolish in his entire life. How did he put up with this little girl for a year. She was too much.

"Alright, alright." Fu Hua stood up. "I really didn't mean to. How about I treat everyone out to barbeque as an apology."

"YEAH!!!!!" Not even a second after she suggested it, everyone's hands literally rose towards the ceiling in excitement. Meat was the best. Maybe it was worth almost dying for. Yu Tian the young male intern closed his binder and looked at her. "Fu Hua, you can get mad as often as you want. We won't say anything."

"Right, right!" Everyone else quickly agreed. They were clearly ganging up on her. That was the power of free barbeque.

***

It was half past 5 when they got out. Everyone was bundled in their thick coats, scarves and gloves as they braved the snowy white winter. Thankfully the barbeque place was near. It took no more than ten minutes of walking.

***

Seven rounds of drinks and meat and they were finally content. The drunken Ming Ming sloppily placed both her hands on Fu Hua's cheeks and smiled. "Sister Fu Hua, you are the best! Not only are you beautiful, you even treated us to drinks, hehehe."

"Ming Ming, are you crazy? How is that nice? Fu Hua clearly owed us for what she put us through." Man Tao corrected her.

"Manager Man, how can you say that?" The two of them were about to start an argument. Thankfully Fu Hou stopped it. She spread her arms to stop them from talking smash about each other. "It's getting late. Let's head back."

"But I wanna keep drinking." Ming Ming with her bright pink flushed cheeks muttered. Her hand grabbed for the alcohol but she missed. "Eh, Ming Ming. You're so drunk you can't even see the cup properly." Yu Tian teased.

Ming Ming pointed her finger at Yu Ting. He was the same age as her so he had no rights to tease her. She was about to scold him.

Looks like the only person who was fully drunk and out of their minds was the sweet and adorable Ming Ming.

"Let's go. We still have lots of work left to do tomorrow." Fu Hua put her arms around Ming Ming and helped her get up.

She paused. Fu Hua passed Ming Ming over to Yu Tian. "Hold her for a moment."

She then proceeded to stand and wait.

When an older gentleman in a puffy black coat walked by her, she gripped his arm with a bit of strength. "Stop right there."
