3 A Woman's Power

*SLAM* *CLANK*

The loud thump of a wine glass hitting the table surface startled a small crowd. Those eyes followed that sound to a small corner where two people were sitting intimately. The man had handsome features; crescent eyes, thick brows, a high profile nose and a chiseled jaw. Sitting right next to him was a tall woman. Her looks were good enough to be a model.

Just now, he wanted to scold her but he couldn't bear to. The club had enough light that he could make out her features. The woman standing in front of him had her hands crossed like she had a problem with him. No matter how he thought of it, she was a beauty. Who in their right mind would yell at such a beautiful woman in front of them? It was a pity. If he wasn't with someone right now, he would have given his number to her.

Yang Ye leaned back arrogantly. "Little lady, I have a girl. Find another play date."

Yang Ye knew he could get away with such arrogance. One, because he was tall and inherited his father's good looks. And two, he had money.

*Tsk* Fu Hua laughed sarcastically. "You are Yang Ye, right?" She spoke to him as if he was trash. She had no respect for him and he could hear it in her voice. "You know my name?" This beauty knew his name? This boosted his arrogance even more.

"So I have the right person." Fu Hua picked up the same glass and splashed the rest of it on Yang Ye's face. The wine hit his face perfectly as it started dripping down his Armani suit.

"You b****!" he stood and pointed at her furiously.

They had already attracted a crowd but now...even more eyes were looking their way. Both Fu Hua and Yang Ye were stubborn people. They did not care for the eyes of these people. What they cared more about was getting the last word in.

"I thought I would cool your head down and remind you that you have a girlfriend already." Fu Hua put a finger to the side of her forehead and pretended to be thinking. "Actually with your nasty attitude, you might be getting dumped soon. So....I should be saying your future ex-girlfriend."

Bao Mei walked over.

"Bao Mei?" Yang Ye looked at her surprised. "Have you been spying on me?" *Loud sigh* He couldn't believe she would do such a thing. "You...you..you..." he pointed at her speechlessly.

"Yang Ye! Don't be so full of yourself. I didn't follow you. It was one of your stupid girls that sent me a photo of you two." She said timidly. Bao Mei was never as outspoken as Fu Hua. Even now, she found it hard to yell at him.

Yang Ye turned and glared at the woman sitting on the leather couch. "Yi Yi, it was you, wasn't it?" He pointed. She was the only person he had seen in the last month. Who else could it be but her.

Yi Yi, the slender woman dressed in a short black dress stood up. She stood next to him, looking at him affectionately. "Yang Ye, isn't it time you this country girl the truth." Yi Yi looked Bao Mei up and down a few times. "She's nothing but a rag in your eye. Isn't that what you always tell me?" She grabbed onto his arm and placed her head on his shoulder. "Tell her the truth. You are only dating her because your father wanted you to date a good girl. I pitied her so I told her. Surely you won't blame be."

"SHUT UP!" he yelled. He slipped his arm away from her. "Yi Yi, when did you become so bold? Did you forget your status? You are nothing more than a playmate." The girl angrily pouted and crossed her arms. She just got embarrassed in front of everyone.

*Slap* Yang Ye didn't expect a slap to the cheek the moment he turned around. The one woman he thought would never hit him, hit him. He was stupefied. "You should be the one to shut up. I'm done with you." Bao Mei turned and ran.

Fu Hua took a step forward to stop him from chasing after. "You dog! You have no rights to chase my friend."

"You! It was you who brainwashed Bao Mei to break up with me. There's no way she would dump me. We've been together for so many years now. It was definitely you. I'll teach you a lesson." He angrily raised his hand, ready to hit her.

Fu Hua was ready to counterattack.

But she was not ready for what was to come.

A man came to her rescue.

No matter how many years its been, she could still recognize him. The very man who's hand stopped Yang Ye's was the same man who hurt her. This face...she could never erase his face no matter how many years have gone by.
