Prologue

"Ugh School starts in 3 weeks," I said, feeling somewhat disappointed that soon senior year is gonna kick in. 'I can't believe that I only have one more year 'till I graduate from high school.

"Yeah that means it's only gonna be you and dad left in the house," Jacob laughed

'Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that. Jacob is going to be in the senior year. Oliver would be going into junior. Luca was going to be in sophomore. And Ash and Hudson were going into freshman year. They're all leaving for university in September. It'll only be me and dad left in the house.' I was curious, who would I hang out with? My whole life I had only ate lunch, talked to, and hung with my brothers and their friends, which were technically my friends. But now they're all leaving for university. Who will I play football or shoot hoops with?

"Don't worry so much about it. Let's just enjoy the rest of the summer while it's still here. Before we leave our dear sister all by herself" Oliver joked as he sunk deeper into the armchair

"Ok, you make it sound like I can't survive without you," and the truth is I don't think I can "I'll be just fine on my own," I huffed

"Don't worry, we'll come back to visit during the holidays, you making it sound like we're about to die. Besides all you have to do is get through senior year. It's not like you going to be stranded on a desert island," Ash sarcastically commented, "So let's stop worrying and make these 3 weeks the best 3 weeks of our life."

It's been 3 days since all of them left and school starts tomorrow. 'Sighs' what will happen? Maybe I can just stay on the low this year, like get through alone. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

"Lori! Can you come down here for a second?" Dad shouted

Thump. Thump. Thump. "Yeah, dad? What is it? Is everything ok?" I reached the bottom I see two middle-aged people and a boy who looks my age or maybe even a tad bit older. The woman had ashy blonde hair and the prettiest ocean blue eyes I've ever seen. The man had raven black hair and was perfectly golden tanned. The boy had golden blonde hair and his eyes were a mix of emerald green and ocean blue, He was kind of looked like Cole Sprouse. He probably had a 6 pack. Oh, shoot he caught me staring. Did he just wink at me?

"Everything's fine, I just wanted you to meet our new neighbours. This is my daughter Lauren, She could help be like a tour guide for your son, they're going to the same school tomorrow"

"That would be lovely," the woman exclaimed

Neighbours? Wait how come I didn't know that we had new neighbours? "uh dad? who are these people and what's this about me being a tour guide?" I was somewhat angry that my dad was saying things that I haven't even agreed with.

"'sigh', as I said these our new neighbours, their son Julian is going to the same school as you, and since you've been at Coridam for 2 years, wouldn't it be convenient for you to kind of be his guide? Oh and tomorrow Mrs. McCaress is taking you to school."

"Ok, whatever," I storm upstairs and slam the door. So much for getting by alone. Or, who said I had to be friends with a pretty boy, I could probably just show him to his class and then leave. Ok, that's the plan.
