However, to Hatake Sakumo, Qiye's attack was only mildly surprising.
"Thunder Sword Technique, First Form: Draw and Slash!"
Sakumo quickly executed the first move of the Thunder Sword Technique. As he drew his blade, it was as though a thunderclap followed the movement, his strike cutting cleanly through Uchiha Qiye's Cross Kill.
*Clang!*
Sakumo's quick draw shattered Qiye's attack with ease. Despite the effortless defense, Sakumo was inwardly stunned by Qiye's talent.
Initially, he had thought the young Uchiha was just boasting, but now it was clear—the boy really had learned the Hatake clan's swordsmanship.
In the span of a single afternoon...
"This... is true genius," Sakumo thought, watching Qiye prepare for his next move. Compared to Qiye, even Sakumo, hailed as a genius himself, felt inadequate.
"Thunder Sword Technique, Second Form: Waning Moon!"
Qiye swung his dagger once more, sending another lightning-infused slash toward Sakumo, this one shaped like a half-moon crescent.
But again, to Sakumo, the attack was of little consequence.
In an instant, Sakumo countered and broke through the technique with ease. After all, who knew the Thunder Sword Technique better than its master, Hatake Sakumo? He was well aware of its strengths—and its weaknesses.
No matter how talented Qiye was, unless he could surpass Sakumo in raw power, he wouldn't be able to defeat him using Thunder Swordsmanship alone. After all, Sakumo had been honing his skills with the technique for nearly thirty years.
---
The two continued to spar for the next hour, their blades clashing in a relentless exchange of Hatake swordsmanship.
By the end of the battle, both finally came to a halt, catching their breath.
Uchiha Qiye felt frustrated. Could he defeat Sakumo?
No.
If he had fought with his full strength, Sakumo would have been forced to surrender, but they had agreed to only use Thunder Swordsmanship. Without that restriction, the fight would have been over quickly.
He was confident that if he unleashed his true abilities, Sakumo would have been defeated long ago. This wasn't arrogance—it was fact.
All Qiye would need to do was enter his **Fenglei Body Flicker Technique** and activate his **Mangekyō Sharingan**, accelerating his own time by four times while slowing down Sakumo's by an equal measure.
Hatake Sakumo wouldn't stand a chance.
Of course, he didn't go that far. The last time he used time acceleration, his eyes had felt strained for half an hour afterward. It wasn't worth the effort, at least not until he upgraded his Mangekyō Sharingan to the **Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan** and removed that limitation.
---
"Qiye, I admit I thought you were just boasting when you said you'd learned Hatake swordsmanship in an afternoon," Sakumo said, catching his breath. "But now I see that my vision was too narrow. You're a genius—one that only comes around once in a thousand years."
Sakumo sighed, his voice filled with awe. "People born in the same era as you will be filled with despair."
But Qiye looked at him seriously.
"Sakumo-sensei, you're mistaken," Qiye said, a confident gleam in his eye.
"Being born in the same era as me is their greatest honor. An era without Uchiha Qiye wouldn't even be worth mentioning."
He spoke with an air of absolute confidence, his words resounding like thunder.
Hatake Sakumo was stunned into silence.
Meanwhile, Kakashi, who had been watching the exchange, was awestruck. His eyes sparkled with admiration—so cool! He promised himself he would say something just as impressive to his father one day.
In that quiet moment, the system's familiar sound echoed in Qiye's mind.

*Ding! The host has successfully shown off. Style points +999!*
*Ding! Style points automatically allocated: Thunder Swordsmanship +999.*

---
Once again, Qiye had gained a considerable boost in his Thunder Swordsmanship, which had now advanced from C-rank to B-rank.
---
After this battle, Qiye felt satisfied. He had managed to spar with Sakumo, learning the Hatake family's swordsmanship without needing to pay a single cent.
He walked home, feeling it was all worth it.
With this improvement, his abilities had become more well-rounded. Though he knew that spreading his skillset would slow down his leveling, some techniques were essential.
---
"Transformation Technique... and Shadow Clone Technique," Qiye muttered as he walked.
Initially, he hadn't planned on learning these two jutsu, but after today's battle, he realized something important.
His height was a problem.
Sure, he was handsome, but he was only five years old, standing at a mere 1.1 meters tall. As a child, no matter how skilled he was, he lacked the presence of an adult warrior.
He realized that he needed to appear more mature—quickly.
And there was only one method that could achieve that immediately: the **Transformation Technique**.
With it, he could turn himself into a fully grown, handsome adult.
Then, there was the **Shadow Clone Technique**.
One person alone could only do so much, but with Shadow Clones, he could divide his attention and accomplish more. Plus, letting his Shadow Clones do the hard work for him—like showing off—sounded like a brilliant plan.
