6 The Tortoise or the Hare?

[The Duel between two students will begin shortly after the rules]

[This duel is different from your battles, A battle has health bars, and a duel will not be having a health bar.]

[You will only be declared winner if your opponent can no longer fight or admits defeat.]

Chad: "It's basically a no holds barred, then?"

Eve: "In a sense, yes."

Chad: "You know, I'm definitely screwed, right?"

Eve: "I can't deny that one."

Chad: "Oh, by the way, did you bring the one that I've asked you yesterday?"

-Eve took out her bag that contained her invention-

Eve: "Yeah, but, why would you need something like this?"

Chad: "Contingency."

Eve: "I don't know what you're planning but, you'll get affected by this too, y'know?"

Chad: "I know."

Eve: "I would've made a mask for this too, but I didn't have time."

Chad: "Don't worry, It'll work in my favor afterall."

Eve: "Alright. This invention works by sensors but it'll only track your movements, so, I added a countdown timer for 30 seconds here, If you don't move or move very slowly after 30 seconds, the item will be activated."

Chad: "Got it, it's exactly how I wanted, Thanks eve."

Eve: "Good luck out there, also advertise me while you're at it."

-As I walk through the arena, I gave her a thumbs up-

[The arena will be: An abandoned warehouse]

STRIFE!

-I immediately ran away out of sight-

Damn, I can't hide, I need to always move so that the item wouldn't activate.

-I spotted Finn walking confidently-

Yeah, I'm using the gun. It'll be risky if he sees me.

-I dropped a smoke bomb near him and rolled my gun's cylinder-

-I got a drunken bullet-

Chad: "Taste alcohol with lead, bitch!"

-I pulled my trigger-

What the hell?

-The smoke got cleared, and I saw him slowing down the bullet-

-Finn looked at me with a smile-

Finn: 'You're firing snails now, I'm petrified."

-Finn quickly rush towards me as I was escaping-

Chad: "Oh fu-

-He used his bullet-time on me-

-Finn walks in front of me to deliver a punch-

-When he punched me in the face, he was electrocuted and got blown away-

-The recoil of the suit reacted when the bullet time was gone-

-I flied right past the hallway-

Ah!

-ck..."

-As I look around for finn, he was gone-

I just flew without a reason, I think the stun suit worked like a charm.

-I moved and run to avoid activating the item-

I need to find him and get this over with.

-As I move around the building, I haven't seen spotted him yet-

Damn, I'm tired of all this moving, goddamnit where is he.

I'm gonna have to-

-Finn used his exo from behind-

Finn: "You're quite a sly boy, ain't you?"

-Finn was holding gloves that came from the warehouse-

-Finn wore the gloves, what seems to be an old electric proof gloves-

-While he was walking, he came across a rusty metal pipe and picked it up-

Finn: "This is for the shock that you gave me."

-Finn swings the pipe and hit me in the arm, the leg, and my face-

-He removed the bullet-time-

Chad: "Agh!"

-I felt the pain that he inflicted me with when he removed the bullet-time-

-Finn suddenly appeared infront on me and hit me in the face without bullet-time-

Chad: "Oof"

-I saw finn's face, it was the face of a sadist-

-Finn teleported on my infront me again to swing his pipe-

-I suddenly reacted and dodged-

Finn: Oh, you've got some nice reflex, but-

and when I realized it, he already hit me a few times, while I was in the state of bullet-time

Chad: "Shi-"

I was down but..

Finn: "I expected more from the person, I acknowledged, did I make the wrong jud-"

-While he was talking, I quickly approached him before he uses his exo-

-I got hold of him then I expected him to be electrocuted again-

Huh?

Finn: "Were you going to electrocute me again?"

-Finn broke out of my grasp and punched me-

Finn: As I was saying, I think I made the wrong judgement, picking you as a rival."

-I chuckled and smirked-

Chad: "You can think twice about that."

Finn: "Wha-?"

-I planted a timed smoke bomb on his pocket-

-I quickly ran away but-

-I realized that I was slow again-

Huh, wha..?

Finn: "You're not going anyway."

Chad: "H-how come my body moves so slow, but I can move my head and I can react normally..."

Finn: "I slowed down your whole body except for your head and your mental chronometry, so that you can experience the taste of pain and utter defeat, your efforts were in "vein" afterall."

-Finn punched me in the gut and hit me with his elbow in the face-

Chad: "Urgh!"

-I laughed like I was out of my mind-

Chad: "Did you really expect me to put up a fight when you can use an exo whenever you want?

Chad: "Have some pride, you're making an exo-less person here feel embarrased other than pain.

Chad: "Have some shame, will ya?"

-Finn smiled-

Finn: "That's what I liked about you, you have some fighting spirit left even if it's a losing fight."

Finn: "Fine, I won't use my power, and you won't use any of your gadgets."

Chad: *Spits out blood* "Heh, that's more like it."

[It seems Chad Raynott and Finn Bradford are engaging in a hand to hand combat.]

-Me and Finn prepare eachother-

Finn: "Hmm, you can barely stand, can you even fight me in that state?"

Chad: "Shut up and fight."

-Finn dashed at me with a flying kick-

-I grab hold of his leg but he kicked me with his other leg-

-I blocked the kick and went for a tackle-

-Finn was pinned down but he still put up a fight-

-He kicked me that sent me flying-

Ugh!

Finn: "This is pointless, just stop."

-I stood up and stretched up a bit-

Chad: "I can do this all day."

-Finn smiles and he quickly run towards me to do a flying knee-

-I stepped aside and dodge his knee strike and punched him in the rib-

Finn: "Agh!"

-Finn was stunned and I went in and did a combo of hits-

-Finn was blocking but it wasn't enough-

-I went for a powerful move that'll knock him down, A tornado kick in the face-

-I pinned him down yet again but-

-Finn used his exo on me-

Finn: "I just gave you a chance, but, weren't you too confident, that I wouldn't use my exo on you?"

-Finn recovered for a few seconds, and started punching me while I was in a bullet-time state-

Finn: "I won't let you have a chance this time!"

*Click*

Finn: "Huh?"

-A powerful sleep inducing gas spray the whole area-

Finn: "How?! I carefully removed everythi-

-Finn saw where the gas came from-

Finn: "YOU WENT PUT THAT INSIDE YOUR UNDERWEAR?!"

Finn: "Y-yo...you- ho..w?

[Chad was still in a bullet-time state, so the gas was very slowly making him sleep]

-Finn was knocked out-

-I was released from the bullet-time-

Chad: "I guess...I w-won."

-I suddenly collapsed sleeping-
