16 Apollo's Sword

A brief conversation with the God of Light Apollo gave Jason a better understanding of this journey.

Although Jason didn't start this journey without any doubts, he used to think that it was just a test at most.

He really didn't expect it to be related to something so major!

Therefore, Jason couldn't help but become silent.

The first thought was to immediately say goodbye, will never see you again!

But Jason had to suppress his impulse of doing that, after all, upon thinking about it, Jason has understood that not continuing also won't end up in good consequences for him.

Not to mention that if he doesn't continue on this journey, it would be equivalent to failing Hecate's test, and without Persephone's help, he would also be unable to learn magic from Hecate.

But if he continues, he will eventually offend one of the twelve Olympians...

After thinking about this for a while, Jason's shock gradually subsided, then after slowly exhaling, he nodded to Apollo while speaking: "Thank you very much, the great God of Light, God Apollo... I know what I should do."

"Since this is a test given to me by the teacher, then I will definitely complete it!"

'Even if it will offend one of the twelve Olympians!'

After all, although Jason is prudent and cautious, it does not mean that he is a coward!

After weighing the two goddesses, Hecate and Demeter, for a short while, Jason has decided to continue the journey, he must continue and reach the end of this journey for his future!

Apollo doesn't know what Jason is thinking, but looking at the boy with firm eyes in front of him, his eyes revealed appreciation.

"Child, I can see the shadow of a future hero on your body." Apollo said, then while touching Jason's head, he continued: "If you encounter difficulties in the future, come to me, I will help you."

Jason opened his mouth, and he subconsciously wanted to refute.

Jason wanted to say that he will never become a hero, and everything he is doing now is just to change the fate of the original Jason.

But in the end, he didn't say anything.

Then, under the leadership of Apollo, it took them three whole days and three whole nights, before two finally walked out of the ancient forest.

Also, all the dangers encountered on the way were resolved by Apollo.

In fact, Apollo can make Jason pass through the ancient forest in an instant, but he didn't do that, instead, he really enjoyed traveling with Jason for the last three days.

By the way, these three days, they had set up only one tent, and both slept in the same tent... although, nothing happened.

But Jason has developed little dark circles under his eyes in these three days, after all, it is not easy to sleep beside a serial r*pist.

"It's over..."

Three days later, in the afternoon, Apollo, who is carrying a golden bow and arrows in a quiver, looked at the widened field of vision outside the ancient forest with a look of regret.

"Yeah, it's over."

Jason's panda-like eyes are full of emotions, although, these three days Apollo didn't do anything to him at all and he even escorted Jason like a real big brother.

For Jason, who knows some of the myths and stories about Apollo being the patron of homosexual love, and is also aware of the widely known fact that the consent of the opposite party doesn't matter much to the Greek Gods...

'It's too difficult... my life is really too difficult.'

With this thought, Jason felt uncomfortable and even wanted to shed a few tears of joy in the hope of finally getting relief.

"Then I'll leave... Jason, I'm very happy to have traveled with you for these last few days." Apollo lifted a strand of blond hair from his earlobe, and said to Jason with a soft smile: "Then, let's meet again next time."

"Hmm... um." Jason smiled stiffly, then nodded and said: "I'm also very happy, God Apollo, we'll meet again next time."

'Never see you again, please, I ask you, let's not see each other again, okay?'

But just when Jason couldn't wait to turn around and start running, Apollo, who suddenly thought about something, stopped him.

He then handed the golden saber hanging from his waist to Jason.

"This trip is dangerous, but you don't have a weapon... I will lend you this sword for the time being." Apollo smiled and said to Jason: "If you have this sword, then no matter where you are. There will always be light around you and it will protect you on your way."

"God Apollo, this is..."

Jason looked at the saber, with a really surprised expression on his face.

This is the God of Light Apollo's sword!

This is one of the twelve Olympians, Apollo's sword!

"I'm just lending it to you for the time being...or, are you going to reject me, Apollo, the God of Light?"

"That... my greatest thanks to you God Apollo, the God of Light!"

After a little hesitation, Jason, who finally bowed down and respectfully received the sword of Apollo, showed him the highest etiquette for thanking him!

"Well... go forward Jason, I believe in you, you can find Persephone and successfully bring her out."

Apollo nodded with satisfaction, then looked at Jason and said while stressing every word: "Since she has pointed out the way forward for you, then I will cut down the thorns for you."

Jason left, carrying Apollo's golden sword and wearing a white robe woven for him by Athena.

"...I really didn't expect that you would actually lend your sword to him."

As Apollo stood in the distance, watching Jason leave, a butterfly fluttered in the shade of the trees near him, and Hecate, who is wearing a long black dress, with red eyes and waist-length black hair appeared under it.

"If I remember correctly, it's one of your companion artifacts."

"Even Athena thinks he is very interesting and is fond of him, let alone me." Apollo smiled, not surprised by the appearance of Hecate, and continued: "Not to mention, he is still your student. ...I'm really looking forward to his future."

"He won't necessarily succeed in getting Persephone out."

"But he has a good chance, doesn't he?" Apollo continued: "Because even Demeter probably won't expect a mortal to take Persephone away."

"At the same time, the most important factor is that since Athena has appeared, it means that she will also help in secret, right?"

"Um." Hecate replied calmly, and simultaneously raised her head to glance at the sky as if she is looking for something.

She is looking for an eagle but didn't find it.

"But...why him, Hecate?" Apollo hesitated for a while but couldn't help asking: "Although I have to admit that this kid is very good... he hasn't grown up yet!"

"Just taking advantage of the opportunity." Hecate replied and continued explaining: "It just happened to be the time he needed Persephone's help, so I asked him to go."

"...Is it that simple?" Apollo is slightly stunned.

"Um." Hecate nodded.

Apollo became a little speechless, he knows that Hecate, unlike Athena, does not like speaking in riddles, which means she is telling the truth.

Then, Apollo thought for a while, and nodded again: "That's right, after all, no matter what happens, with your protection, it would be difficult for Demeter to touch even a single hair on him!"

"But washing in the water of the Styx then tempering of the unquenchable flames, if you also add the divine flame on Mount Olympus... Are you preparing to make this child one of us, Hecate?"

"Hmm... I didn't think that much about it. As for becoming a god, let's see what he thinks." Hecate replied indifferently.

"..." Apollo obviously became visibly speechless upon hearing such an answer.

Then, looking ahead in the direction of Jason's departure, after not being able to see him, he turned and smiled: "In brief, next is her...my sister."
