2 First Meal Together

Ivan was not sure if Vivian Wah was serious about asking him to be her boyfriend.

Because their age gap is not small and it makes him a little worried.

He plans to find out when they go on the date. He doesn't want Vivian Wah to feel uncomfortable because of their age gap.

He had to find out what she thought about it. After that he'll decide if they should get in a deep serious relationship or not.

For Ivan, he wants to date her for real. Not just hanging out with each other to kill time.

During the time that Vivian Wah was waiting for Ivan to finish his shift, she was doing her work.

Vivian Wah is a University professor. Because of her intelligent brain, she became the first young woman to become a University professor at a young age.

After graduating from oversea University, Vivian came back to spend more time with her family after being apart for so long.

When she first started teaching, other professors thought she was one of the students because she looks just like a teenage girl.

They were all stunned when they first found out that she's their colleague instead of their student.

Vivian Wah is an excellent professor. When she taught, she explained everything perfectly and anyone who took her class became the top student.

Many students enjoy taking her class. Lots of people signed up for her class, but only some lucky ones got to take her class since she allowed only 50 people in her class.

Everyone always shows up on time and no one is absent from her class.

Vivian smiles slightly after going through all the paperwork that her students turned in today. Everyone was doing an excellent job that made Vivian couldn't help but be happy.

Vivian noticed that Ivan treats other customers a little differently than he treats her during his shift. He doesn't smile much to other customers.

Some women even gathered up their courage to ask him out but he turned them down in one blow. And his eyes kept looking at her the way where she was sitting.

Vivian didn't care much about what happened between Ivan and other other women and she turned her attention back to the paper.

It was around 5:30 PM by the time Ian finished his task for the day.

None of them bother with each other during the waiting time.

After Ivan tidied up, he walked up to Vivian Wah "need more time?"

Vivian Wah was so focused on her work that she didn't notice it when Ivan was walking up to her. Only when Ivan spoke to her did she stop focusing on her work.

Without answering Ivan, she looked up and around her surroundings.

Noticed that the store was already empty. She then looked down at her watch on her wrist that it was already 5:35 PM.

"It's already this late? Time passes really fast. I didn't notice it at all."

She then looks up at Ivan "I bet you're hungry right now. Why don't we go grab something to eat before we go on a date?"

Smiling sweetly. "Anything you want."

"Alright then, let's go fill our stomach first."

She gathered her belongings on the table then stood up from her seat. "Let's go. I'm so hungry that I feel like I can eat the whole elephant right now"

Ivan frowns after hearing Vivian Wah's words.

"You should've gone out and eaten first. Why wait until now?"

Ivan feels bad making Vivian Wah starve the whole evening. He feels like he should have got off work early and not made her wait for him the whole time without eating anything.

"Because I want to eat with you. Plus, eating by myself is not fun."

Vivian Wah started walking to the door. Ivan started following her out of the store.

She stopped on her track after they walked out of the WE cafe. She then turned around to face Ivan, "Give me your number. I'll text you the location"

Ivan pulled out his phone in his pocket then gave his number to Vivian Wah. After receiving Ivan's phone number, Vivian Wah pressed the call button.

"Ring Ring Ring."

Right after the call went through, Vivian Wah pressed the red button to end the call.

"This is my number. Make sure to save it."

"Will do."

"Ding."

"This is the place where we'll be meeting up." She then turned around to walk up to her car and unlocked her car door.

Vivian Wah put her belongings inside the car.

Before she walked to the other side of the car, she turned around and smiled lovely. "I'll see you to our destination."

Vivian Wah walked to the driver seat and got in her car.

Ivan was still standing there without moving. He stared at the Vivian Wah movement without saying anything.

Vivian Wah waves at Ivan then she blows him a kiss before she drives off to their destination.

The blow kiss from Vivian Wah made Ivan's freeze for a few seconds. He was not sure how to respond to the flirty Vivian Wah.

Before he could do anything, Vivian Wah already drove off to their destination.

Ivan was not sure if he did the right thing by agreeing to be Vivian Wah's boyfriend. He never thought that one day he'd end up liking someone way younger than him.

Ivan sighs, shaking his head. He left his negative thoughts behind and then he got in his car and drove off to the place that Vivian Wah sent him.

It was a five star hotel restaurant.

When Ivan pulls up at the front and gets out of the car, a valet driver greets Ivan politely. He then went to park Ivan's car.

As he was walking in the hotel restaurant, a man came rushing to greet him.

"Good Evening Sir. Welcome. May I ask if you have a reservation?" He politely asked.

"I'm here to meet Vivian Wah." Ivan replied.

'He's here to meet boss?'

Without asking any further questions, he led Ivan to a private room.

Standing in front of a private room number 1216, he bowed his head politely "this is the room sir."

Ivan nods "thank you."

"No problem sir. It's my duty to make sure that the customers receive the best service."

Ivan told the person to get back to his work before he knocked on the room door.

"Knock knock knock." Ivan knocked on the private room door three times.

"Come in." A voice spoke up.

Ivan opened the private room door and walked up to where Vivian Wah was sitting.

"Come sit next me." Vivian Wah patted the chair next to her.

Without saying anything, nodding his head, Ivan took a seat next to Vivian Wah.

"I'm sure you're hungry working all day long without taking a break." Vivian Wah hands the menu to Ivan.

"It seems like you knew me better than I thought you were." Taking the manu in Vivian Wah's hand.

Ivan was a little hungry by the time he got off work. He was thankful to Vivian Wah that she decided to eat before their first date.

Smiling "You flatter me. Not just you, anyone who works all day will get tired and make them hungry."

"True." Ivan nodded his head in agreement to Vivian Wah comments.

They both order what they want to eat. Noticing that Vivian Wah didn't order any drink, Ivan ordered a bottle of red wine.

It doesn't take long for the server to bring them their food. The server brought a bottle of red wine and put it in front of Ivan.

As usual, the server always made sure to bring Vivian Wah special cold drink and put it on the table.

Anytime Vivian Wah comes to eat here, only the senior waiter serves her. They won't allow any mistake to be made during the stay of Vivian Wah.

Plus, today she brought a guest with her and it doesn't look like he's just a friend to Vivian Wah since she brought him to eat at her private room.

After serving the foods and drinks, the servers bow "Enjoy. Please let us know if you need anything."

Then they walked out of the room.

"Let's eat." Vivian Wah said.

Both of them start to dig in.

Ivan poured two glasses of wine and handed one to Vivian Wah.

Without saying anything, Vivian Wah took the wine in Ivan's hand and put it down next to her without taking a sip.

On the other hand, Ivan already gulped down the whole glass of wine. For him, drinking a glass of wine before a meal is good for health.

Noticing that Vivian Wah was not drinking the wine "do you not like wine?"

"Huh?"

"I noticed that you didn't take any sip of the wine and just left it untouched like that."

"Ah… I'm not a big fan of wine." Vivian Wah put down her silverware in her hands, then looked Ivanin the eyes.

"You can say I'm not a big fan of alcohol. I tried it a few times, but it doesn't make my tongue feel good."

That's a lie because anytime Vivian Wah drank, she went wide. She doesn't want to mention something embarrassing about herself to Ivan.

For some reason, Ivan feels like Vivian Wah is kinda a little different from what he used to know her.

Ivan removed the negative feelings and he was sure that it was just an illusion.

Nodding his head "I'll keep that in mind."

Then Ivan looks at the drink that the server brought for Vivian Wah "So you prefer this drink instead of wine?"

"Yes. My favorite drinks are iced cold drinks."

"That explains why you always ordered iced coffee anytime you went to the cafe."

"Yep."

Vivian Wah took her iced drink on the table and took a big sip before putting it down on the table.

Out of curiosity Ivan asked "Can I take a sip of your drink?"

"Sure, why not!"

Vivian Wah hands her drink to Ivan. He took a sip and he found the drink was not bad.

They didn't realize that they're sharing the same cup and their lips just touch the same spot on the cup.

Nodding his head "Delicious. It feels refreshing just by taking a sip."

"Do you want me to order you one?"

Shaking his head a little. "No. Maybe next time."

Ivan then hands the drink back to Vivian Wah.

"So, what do you want to do after dinner?" Ivan asked.

"Remember I said we're going on a date?"

"Yes!"

"We have to go on a date before I take you to meet my family. We don't know much about each other."

Ivan paused for a few seconds.

'She's serious about taking a man home. If I'm not with her when she gets a call from her mom, is she really going to take a stranger home to meet her family?'

Ivan was glad that he's the one Vivian Wah is going to take home and not some stranger man.

"So, have you been thinking about taking a stranger home before asking me to be your boyfriend?"

Ivan was curious if Vivian Wah had any of those thoughts before asking him.

"No. You're the only guy who comes to my mind first. That's why I asked you to be my boyfriend."

That's the safest lie Vivian Wah could come up with. She doesn't want Ivan to feel uncomfortable about this while bringing him home.

"Alright!"

For some unknown reason Ivan feels delighted after hearing Vivian Wah answer.

Then the both of them focus back on their foods and they don't chat much till they finish eating their meal.
