7 Part 6

We moved into the city and I saw a wide variety of things like wooden stands selling fruits and vegetables, houses made of marble and stone, etc. Everyone here except us appeared to be wearing a black rope, some with blunt weapons slung onto their back. We stuck out from the rest pretty bad, and some I saw holding some of them Keidrans as slaves, they looked really bad and some beaten up bad. We silently made our way through the streets. I had my finger on the trigger guard, just kept my rifle in a position where I could easily aim and shoot in a split second.

We made it to what seems like a clinic of sorts. It's not much but it's all we got. We entered the building and saw what looked like to be the doctor around here. He wore a white robe with a hood over his head. He had black hair and brown eyes too. He also had that symbol on his right chest that Trace had, the blue circle. "Doc spotted, he should be able to help," I said.

"Excuse me, can you help us? She's hurt." Trace expounded.

"What is this? Do I look like a vet? I don't treat Keidran." The doctor said in a rather rude tone. "Who do you think you are?"

"I am Grand Templar Trace and you will help her."

"Gah! G-Grand Templar?"

Few minutes past and we left Flora with the doctor or the cleric as they call it. I'm still having doubts about this city, especially that tower. All I know is that something goes wrong, that tower is my main objective. I turned my head to Trace to see him staring at a couple of swords behind a glass window with a paper stuck on it with '1/2 price discount' written on it. "Trace, you good?" I asked.

"Yeah... It's just- There's something about this place that really calms me. I wonder if I have been here before. I wish I could remember... anything. But then again, I'm not really sure if I want to know the kind of person I was." He mumbled, still looking onto the swords.

I just let out an audible sigh before I spoke. "Yeah... especially when you did your fuckin' levitatin' magic- thing. Can't imagine what you, before all of this were."

"I think I'll just enjoy this time I have with you two for now and worry about it later... This place is really peaceful..."

Before I could respond, Trace was immediately thrown into the glass, causing it to shatter into a million pieces. Might I mind he crashed into the glass face first and guess by who? Flora. Without any warning too. I jumped in a split second because it happened so quickly. "Trace, are my breasts too small?" She questioned. What a strange fucking question.

"What in God's name?!" I shrieked.

"Wa-what? No, of course not, Flora." Trace responded as he turned to Flora, with blood dripping down his face.

"But you wouldn't know, you don't have any memories!" She protested as she gripped Trace by his wrist and pulled him. "Come on! I need to compare with someone!"

"At this point, I'm surprised we ain't caught yet. I swear she gonna get us killed someday." I said with a sigh and followed them. We were supposed to be undercover, and now people are gonna ask why this Keidran is ordering a human, Goddammit.

We made it to some kind of spa or bath. Public baths, like those in ancient Greece. Obviously, Flora made it to the women's section while Trace and I waited outside. Soon we heard an announcement from inside the spa. "Please be advised, this Keidran is under Templar protection. Do not harass her if you value your life."

I sighed and slightly pulled the charging handle on my rifle and peeked at the chamber to see if a bullet is loaded. After finding one ready to fire, I let go of the rifle and switched the fire mode of Safe, and let it hang in front of my chest. "I'm going to take a bath too, you want to come?" Trace asked.

"I'm good. Prolly need someone to guard this place." I replied.

He nodded and entered the bath. I took a deep breath in and turned around, looking at the people passing by. Making sure they aren't hostiles. A few minutes flew by and all of a sudden, Flora barged out gripping Trace's wrist. I was confused about what was going on. "What the- hey! What's going on?" I asked as I followed at their pace.

"Flora! Why are we running?" Trace asked as well.

"I don't trust those guys!" She responded.

"But they knew about my past!"

"Exactly!"

"Wait! You mean the fellas back at that tavern we went?" I asked.

"Yes!" Trace answered.

The sky was then covered by a dark, grey cloud and soon it began to rain on us. It was pretty bad timing to considering we don't have a place to stay and we were planning to leave this city as soon as possible.

"Eh? A storm?" Trace questioned.

"Goddammit! We gotta find a place to stay! We'll be sufferin' from a damn cold!" I announced.

"There's a tavern! We can stay there for now." Flora informed and with no hesitation, we rushed to the tavern.

We got into the lobby of the tavern and it wasn't too special. Just grey walls around us, a wooden floor, and the reception desk with a guy on it in front of us. Typical person, had brown hair, blue eyes, wearing a brown coat with a grey shirt underneath it and a cross on his neck. "Ah, greetings Grand Templar! Welcome to my humble tavern! What may I get you?" The reception guy asked.

"Uh, we just need a room." Trace answered back.

"Certainly. I have a suite prepared for you and your follower. I also have a nice strong steel cage in the basement for your Keidran. We guarantee she won't be able to escape, and we've taken the liberty of cleaning out the rats three months ago."

"Hold on pal, Trace here doesn't want her to be alone in that cage," I said.

"Huh? Alone? Oh, I get it. So she's a breeder, eh? In that case, we have plenty of virile male Keidrans. One night and you can expect her to have kittens in no time!"

I swear I just wanted to punch this guy so bad, but I couldn't. Flora shrieked and hid behind Trace as he was also in shock too. "That's not what I fuckin' meant," I told.

"I-I think I'll just have her stay in my room for tonight!" Trace said and the reception just lets out a smirk.

We got our room and it was fairly decent. To my left, there was a large shelf with a couple of books on it. At the end of the room was a wooden desk with a chair in front of it and next to it was a glass door that leads to the balcony and the right was a drawer with a mirror on top and next to it was a comfortable looking bed with a blue blanket neatly folded on it. I was like your typical modern-day apartment.

"Ah! It's wonderful!" Flora chirped.

"Well, better than sleeping in the woods... I suppose..." Trace said.

"Looks decent enough. It ain't much but it'll do." I announced.

"Ah! A bed, finally!" Flora cheered and hopped onto the bed. She began to stretch her arms and legs, probably getting comfortable with the bed, I don't blame her. "I'm so happy! Mrr... a bed! I haven't slept in one in so long!"

"Yeah, but... There's only one bed." Trace announced.

"Ah? Oh.. So there is... Well, the floor's fine too. I'm... used to it. It's your room, after all." Flora said, defeated. "No big deal, I'll just lay down-" Trace swooped in and carried Flora before she could lay down on the floor.

"Meer?"

"Come on, Kitty. Back on the bed. I'll sleep on the floor." Trace said proudly. I just scoffed and walked over to the desk. I took out the sling and placed my rifle on the desk. I then unstrapped the vest and took it off because it had been killing my back for the entire day. "Oh, I've been meaning to apologize for the way I've been acting today. I was silly of me." Flora said.

"Don't worry about it, Flora! It's normal for someone your age." Trace said.

"He's right," I announced as I walked over to them. "You shouldn't go too hard on yourself.'

"But that's the point! It's not normal... at least, not for a Keidran. Truth is, I haven't been acting much like a Keidran. Actually, I've been trying to act as much like a human as possible... Ever since we got to know each other, anyway."

"Kinda strange if you ask me. Why'd you wanted to act like a... human? I mean, y'all are close to being a human. With some, uh... exceptions here and there. It doesn't matter, yeah?" I asked, trying to wrap my head around this.

"Humans... they have so many prejudices against us and how we behave. I'm afraid that if you two saw me acting like a normal Keidran, you would think of me as...-"

"An animal?"

"Yeah. I just don't want you two to think of me that way."

"Flora! You know I'd-" Trace was stopped by knocks at the main door of our room. "Who's 'at?" I questioned out loud.

"I hope I'm not interrupting. I have some refreshments for you two and your Keidran." The person behind the door said and by the sound of the voice, I recognized it was the guy at the reception desk.

"Reception guy is here," I announced.

Trace walked to the door and opened it, and It was the same guy with a tray. I could make out there were three cups on it. One was those wooden cups in those taverns, one was a glass bottle with some brownish liquid in it and some sort of purple thing in it, and the last glass appeared to be an ordinary glass of... milk? Yeah, it looks like milk from here.

"Greetings, Grand Templar. I have your favorite ale for you and your follower. As for your Keidran, a special milk that's sure to make her... happy." He said.

"Uh, thanks, I guess." Trace responded and took the tray from the guy and he closed the door. "Hey, Flora. The Innkeeper got you this drink. But I'm not sure if you should take it. I don't trust that guy." Said Trace.

"I agree, better check if those aren't poisoned or any way tampered with," I announced as I took the one with the purple thing on it and tried to make sense of it.

"Let me see it..." Flora declared and took the glass of milk, inspecting it from top to down. "Hey, I remember this drink from when I was a kitten. My mom used to drink this. At least, before she had my sister. But she would never let me have any. She said I wasn't ready yet."

"Strange, it's just a glass of milk, ain't it?" I questioned as I diverted my eyes to her.

"Well, you probably shouldn't drink it then. I'll go down and ask for something else-" Trace was about to leave the room when Flora downed the entire glass in one sitting, without hesitation. "Geeh, Flora!"

After she finished the glass, she just lets out a smile, feeling good after drinking a whole glass of milk. "Flora! Are you... okay?" Trace asked, worried.

"I feel fine. I guess this drink really isn't a big deal. Oh thank goodness, for a second I thought it was poison." She commented.

"Yeah, but I'm too sure about this drink..." I said as I turned back to the glass bottle in my hand. "Uh, Flora? Your chest..." Trace announced.

I turned away from the bottle and turned to Flora to see a pink light glowing from her chest. "Woah, you good?" I asked.

"Hm? Oh, it's the necklace you gave me. I tucked It into my fur when we first entered the city. It tends to glow somethings."

"Hmm... Lemme see..." Trace got closer and held the necklace and Flora immediately blushed red. "Maybe it's like a mood ring? Are you feeling any strange moods at the moment?" Trace asked as Flora just looked at Trace with what I think is a lustful look. Oh God, I do not like where this is going.

"I guess it's just a-" Flora then licked Trace's cheeks out of the blue, which caught him by surprise. It also caught me by surprise. Trace blushed and fell back to the bed, eyes widened and cheek red. "Ah! W-why did you do that, Flora? What's the matter with you? Cut it out!" Flora crawled up to Trace, her tail slowly swaying, and got close to his face, then he screamed. "Aaaah! No! Stop! Anywhere but there!"

I swear to Christ everyone within a 10-mile radius could've heard that. "Jesus fuckin' Christ, Flora! You good?!" I yelled.

"Flora, please! Think about what you're doing! Something was in that milk! Hey, I need those pants." Flora ignored Trace and just kept on munching on his pants. I shifted back a little bit, not wanting to get involved. She immediately snapped to Trace and grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him to the bed, making his face plant onto her chest, and wrapped her legs around his waist. "Mrraaah!" Flora chirped.

"Mmmmpph-!" Trace tried to speak but his dialogue was muffled.

"Mrr-ah? Trace?" Flora finally spoke but yawned soon after and fell asleep. I just witnessed someone about to basically- You know what, I don't wanna talk about it. "She's asleep, God damn that was... that was somethin'," I commented.

"Thank goodness... I guess she drank too much of that stuff."

"Yeah, I'll add that to my list."

"Arg, now I'm stuck. How do I get up without waking her? I guess it... wouldn't hurt to stay like this." Trace said.

"I don't kn-"

"Hey, I think I heard him in this room!" A voice screamed behind our door and out of nowhere, a loud BOOM and a large explosion destroyed the wall next to it, sending the books from the shelf flying and I saw the people from the tavern walk in. "Alright, I think we're in!" The guy with red hair said. "You idiot! Could you not destroy everything?" Trace's girlfriend asked, then Keith literally walked in using the door and kept it open. "You guys do know the door's unlocked, right?" He asked. Then, another explosion happened behind me, sending a wave of air and a bunch of things flying back through the room. I turned to see it was the wolf we encountered at the forest camp. "What have you done with my Flora?" He asked as he held his spear.

Then out of nowhere, some rando walked in with a... PIZZA BOX?! I have completely lost it at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if a CIA team busted in. "Tom's Pizza Delivery. I got a large with extra anch- Oh my Godness!" The rando shrieked.

"Erm... it's not what it looks like...?" Trace announced as I took a step back. Red hair guy looked confused, Trace's girlfriend cracked her knuckles, looking like she's about to rip Trace in half. The girl with cat ears just cheered. The rando with the fucking pizza box didn't know what to do. Keith just crossed his arms and glared at Trace while Wolf boy looked like he was about to stab both of us with that spear. God, what a fucking shitshow.

"What have you done?! I'll kill you for this!" Wolf boy was about to rush us and I was about to draw my pistol when his furious girlfriend grabbed the wolf by his tail and pulled him. "Oh no, you don't! Not before I kill him first!" She yelled.

This was too much. They were all pretty occupied trying to kill each other so, Trace with flora on his arms sneaked out. Not before I took my vest and my rifle from the desk. We got out of the room undetected and returned to the reception desk. "Um, could we get another room? Our seems to have a few holes in it." Trace said.

A couple of hours later, we got a brand new room. Trace and Flora were asleep while I was still awake, fixing my gear and my weapons. I was too focused on my gear that I almost forgot I brought the glass bottle with me. "Hm... wouldn't hurt... I guess." I said to myself and opened the top. I took a sip and a weird taste entered my tongue. I couldn't describe the taste, so I took a sip again, trying to figure out the taste, and ended up chugging the whole thing instead. I could see the purple thing was some purple flower. "Weird... I feel fine... It ain't poison... must be somethin' else." I whispered as I placed the empty bottle on the desk. My eyes started to feel heavy and my eyelids started to move by themselves. I yawned and stretched my arms before falling asleep on the chair.

I found myself on some bed which felt comfortable as hell, not only that. Flora was on top of me, her face just inches from my face. I couldn't move nor was I able to think. She had her paw underneath my arm and glared at me with a lustful look. "Oh, Marcus... Does it really matter that I am a Keidran...?" She asked in a flirty tone. My heart raced, as I felt something grew bigger. "No... not at all... I'm glad..."

She then suddenly made the first move and her lips crashed onto my lips. It felt... Surreal. Like it was actually happening. I felt like my head was in a fog. I could do anything but close my eyes and let it happen. I didn't want it to stop. I slowly wrapped my tongue around her tongue which caused her to moan quietly in between the kiss.

It didn't take long for me to wrap my arms around her. We continued to kiss for what seemed like ages until she broke it. A saliva string from my lips to her lips appeared when she slowly pulled her head away.

I came back to reality and shot up from my slumber I found myself at the same chair and desk, breathing heavily while sweating. "What the... what the fuck just happened..." I looked around and found the two of them still sleeping and still dark out there. "Must be a fuckin' nightmare... why in God's fuckin' name would I dream about that..."
