The demons watched the scene unfold with shock, horror, and regret written all over their faces. Aries would have run to Camilla's side if she hadn't shoved a dagger into his leg, so Lizbeth and Shawn were helping him clean that up and keep him from bleeding out. Thankfully, the wound didn't bleed very much so it didn't turn into an issue, which was more than the demons could say for Leo.

Gemma's face was the perfect portrait of pure, unfiltered horror. Leo's words about her were true; she didn't mean to kill him. She didn't even know her duplicate was up in that tree knocking her arrow. And the black-haired demon knew that this was their mission--to kill the Queensguard--but now that one of them was actually dead, she didn't think she could go through with it.
