Chapter 12 The Meeting

Avrora who just finished watching her favorite show, stay still in the living room with her cat, Mushi-Mushi, sleeping beside her. Her uncle was still in his office and he'll be back around 8 and told Avrora to cook for herself if she happen to be hungry.

Avrora couldn't decide that should her go to the park and meet the stranger or just stay at home sleeping or watching more tv shows. She brushed her hair multiple time until she fell asleep on the sofa with the TV still running a show.

An hour later, Avrora woke up by the sound of her cat meowing for food. Mushi-mushi with his grumpy face kept meowing until Avrora look at him.

Mushi-mushi: Hey, master. I'm hungry. feed me.

Avrora was wide awake after hearing Mushi-mushi loud meow and look at her cat. "Okay, Mushi-mushi. Sorry for not feeding you. I'll get your food right now." Avrora stood up and went to the kitchen and took the cat food out from the cabinet. Other than Mushi-mushi, her uncle's cat, Bobseye also went to the kitchen begging for food from Avrora.

Avrora poured the cat food on Mushi-mushi's and Bobseye's bowl. After getting what the cats want, she then return to the living room to get her smartphone to play Candy Crush for a bit. After half an hour playing that endless game, Avrora put her smart phone away and threw her view to the window. She stared at the lovey-dovey who just walk passing her residence. In her thought, it must be nice someone love you like that.

Didn't want jealousy getting her, she quickly wore her red hoodie and quickly head out to get bicycle to take a stroll around the town. You must be wondering why she attend SMK Tenom while there were three Secondary School she can attend and its nearer than SMK Tenom and she could just rode her bicycle.

First of all, SJKC Chung Hwa is near the residential area but she didn't want to attend a Chinese(p.s. not racist issue here okay) because she didn't interested in learning Chinese language. Second, SMK St. Anthony. Most of her relatives are there so she didn't want to be involve with the. Third, SJKC Tsung Shin. Is it Oblivious that she didn't want to attend a Chinese school.

Moreover, SMK Tenom is the largest school in that district and the school was equipped with enough laboratory and sports equipment. She in science stream class so she wanted to have a school that equipped with enough equipment. And there are few of her relatives attending there. So having too much relatives in SMK St. Anthony would be bad for her and bullies would directly pointed to her by her relatives especially.

She paddled her bicycle in the towns without worries since its almost late evening and many workers will be heading home. She paddled until she reached the park where she met the stranger. What a shock, he was waiting for her there. She quickly hides herself behind the bushes of roses.

"Is he waiting for me?" Avrora's mind was filled with more and more negatives thought about the stranger. Not only that, she also remembered that he was the man who opened a strange portal at Tenom Sport Complex.

"He must be a satanic worshiper and he want to kidnap me for satanic ritual. Or he's a pervert waiting for me and kidnap me for to make porn videos!" More and more accusation was pointed to the poor stranger. So, Avrora decide to kept herself hidden until the man gave up waiting for her.

An hour passed by with the stranger still there waiting for her with his high patience while Avrora just kept herself hidden from him behind the bushes."Gosh, how long do you need to wait for me to appear? Go home already!" Her words was heard by herself. "Ouwah! Mommy there's a stalker stalking the man over there." Suddenly a 5 year old kid yelled about Avrora's scheme.

Avrora who was startled by it quickly stood up and denied everything the kid said about her stranger behavior. The kid mother quickly apologize for her son inappropriate accusation. Avrora said that it was okay and had nothing wrong with it. She let out a deep sigh and she quickly turns her head toward the bench where the stranger sit.

"Uh, where is he?" Suddenly she can feel a chill behind her back. "Having fun making me wait for you, Avrora William?" Avrora quickly moved her body away from the man. Oh shoot! He's really mad. "How's with your stalking scheme?" He found out about me stalking him too... I'm so dead. Said Avrora to herself after the man found out about her stalking activities.

"Um I'm very sorry." She thought the man will be mad her but she heard a soft chuckle from the man instead. "Its okay. I bet you got something better to do than meeting a total stranger like me, huh? Since its already late and you spend your time with stalking me, I'll walk you home." Avrora felt a bit guilty for making him wait for her for an hour.

"Um, I'm okay. I'll walk home by myself. Its my fault for making you wait for me too long. So, I don't want to cause any trouble for you anymore." with low self-esteem she refused the offer offered by the stranger. "No, no. How can I let a lone girl like you walking home all by yourself? Don't be nonsense here and I'll walk you home. Don't worry I won't do anything bad on you."With the feeling of not wanting to give up, the stranger raised his hand to prove that he would do nothing to harm her.

Avrora finally agreed and let the man walked her home. She also told him to walk in front of her so he wouldn't do anything strange behind her. The man just followed her instruction and walked in front of her.

There were no topics can be discussed when they were walking on the pedestrian lane. The man just asked her if they were walking on the correct direction. At last they arrive at her uncle's home. She pushed her bicycle into the garage and quickly thanked the stranger for walking her home.

"Its not a big deal. You're a girl and it would be bad if something happen to you while your parents away." She was struck by the man words when he mention her parents. She then nodded in silence to agree what the man said to her.

"Oh, well. Its getting late and I'll be heading home to. See you around, Avrora." Just before the stranger wanted to leave Avrora caught the stranger's sleeve.

"If you don't mind, can you at least tell me what's your name." As soon she asked the question, the stranger quickly replied. "My name is Kayen." Then her hazel-nut eyes met with Kayen's blue eyes. And for the first time she could feel her heart skipped a beat for a man who walked her home that day.
