"I WANT TO KNOW HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!" Leroy was shouting his butt off. "WHY DIDN'T THE WARNING SYSTEMS GO OFF!"
It was 3:15 in the morning, I was sleepless, tired and exhausted, but this matter was concerning. Who knows what would have happened if some other section was breached.
By the time I killed the Orcs, around 38 soldiers lost their life, and over 100 were seriously injured. Obviously, I wasn't suspected, because firstly, I had lost my memory so I would know how to disable the warning systems. And secondly, I was the one defeated them not that it meant much.
Around 50 people were inside Master Sergeant's office. The construction team had already arrived and were in the middle of repairs.
"Sir, backup security systems were sabotaged." Nicole, the AI informed us.
"AND?"
"There was no evidence left."
"OF COURSE THERE ISN'T." Leroy said sarcastically. "I've contacted the HQ, they said they'll dispatch some investigators, and until their investigation is completed no one is allowed to leave the premises. Except those who I have given permission to, because we still have some missions to take care of. That's all. Dismissed. Zeroll, could you stay back a bit."
"Um, sure, you need something?" I asked.
"Just wanted to let you know that I'm grateful for what you did out there."
"I just did what I could, Sir."
"That's all for now. Go and rest."
*Next morning*
"Thank you for saving our lives sir! I'll be forever indebted to you."
This was the 19th word of gratitude I had received since waking up.
"No need to thank me. We are comrades after all." I smiled.
"Yes Sir!" The private saluted and walked away.

"Ah, Zeroll, I was about to call you in." Leroy said getting up from his seat.
"Anything urgent?"
"The HQ, asked for a detailed report of yesterday's attack which I sent them. Detailing about your feats. They are impressed, and so they've transferred you to the capital."
"But what about the defences of this place? I mean you remember what happened last night, don't you? "
"Haha! I knew you'd ask that! Thanks for your concern, but you don't need to worry about it anymore. A battalion of 300 soldiers has arrived 15 minutes ago, we'll be safe and sound."
"That was quick." I said.
"It's 4020, what else do you expect? Traveling around the world doesn't takes hours anymore. Pack your things, Staff Sergeant! You have a portal scheduled for Livania in thirty minutes."
"Livania?"
"It's our capital city, which is more like an impregnable fortress. Now go and get ready!" Leroy barked his orders. "And Zeroll?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't do anything reckless."
"Yes Sir!" I saluted the Major Sergeant, and left.
*Thirty minutes later, In the front lobby*
"Sir, please step inside the chamber." The Operator told me.
I entered the seven feet high chamber and the gates closed. I could feel some kind of weird energy flowing inside the chamber. I could see Leroy, looking intently at me.
"Zeroll! Let's have a drink when we meet again." Leroy shouted.
"It would be an honour from me sir!" I shouted back.
"Setting Location to Lavinia. Teleporter power at full capacity. Initializing in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Have a safe journey."
"Let's go to... Livania." I murmured.
