10 She's back

"Where are you?" the voice in the other phone was rigid but sounded cheerful.

"I'm at office. Why?"

"You are still at office in this hour?"

"Say the one who call from his office," he retorted back.

Ling Feng laughed. "My phone's battery is dead. Come to J&L tonight."

"What for?"

"Jian, she's back. Yueyue is back." There was a pause after that. Ling Feng sighed. "Just come if you are not busy." and he end the call.

Xi Jian stood with his phone still in his ear. He stared at the midnight city landscape from the top floor of his office, which never sleeps. He put his phone on the table and resumed his work.

"I haven't seen you in a long time." He Luo gave her a bear hug. They accidently met at the front pub. He came alone. Ling Yue really happy he came for her, it made her day.

"Brother Luo."

Her heart was still skipped a beat with the presence of He Luo. "I'm doing well. How about you, brother? I heard you expand your business really well" Ling Yue's smiled didn't leaved her face when she talked.

He Luo looked at her in awe. 'Is this really that timid girl who he seen before? She has grown beautifully. She dressed casually but looks charming. If this was the previous girl, she would only stared at floor each time they talked. He Luo even forgot how she looked back then. Now, confidence radiated from her when she stared directly to his eyes. He Luo could see her starry eyes twinkling, making him feel happy just by looked at her. He was dumbstruck.

"Ehem!" Ling Feng coughed. Ling Huasheng put his cap on the top her head.

He Luo was back to earth. He smiled sheepishly.

"Uh, what?" He made himself look like a fool. He scratched his head, embarrassed. And then recall they previous talk, "Oh yeah. I tried expanding it to technology. Xi Jian helped me a lot." and he turned his head "Where is he?"

Ling Yue turned her head to her brother. The last time she saw Xi Jian was 'that time'. In the past, Ling Yue could still meet him once or twice each time Ling Feng brought her together. But not anymore. Before she went abroad, Ling Yue had asked his brother to brought Xi Jian, but he didn't appeared. Ling Yue just wanted to know how he was doing after that. His brothers always said he was fine. Ling Yue had the feeling Xi Jian intentionally avoided her, and somehow, that made Ling Yue slightly hurt.

"He still at office. He will come if he want." Ling Feng answered him. "Let's go in first."

They choosed private booth at the second floor. Ling Huansheng naturally sit beside her and Ling Feng sat on the other side. Ling Huang and He Luo sat on the opposite.

The three brother ordered juice for her. Again! Ling Yue tried to control her emotions. She held back the feeling of wanting to smack their head. She did not want to tarnish her first meeting with He Luo and scared him.

For God's sake! She was twenty-five years old. She was an adult. Here or there, they always did something unnecessary. She could only be herself while working. Suddenly, Ling Yue felt she longed to work again. She must immediately take care of everything in order to be free from this three worrywart-stupid brothers.
