Aches and Napping

Wolfie led me to a burned down building a long ways from my home. I watched as he sifted through burned and broken wood pieces..until.. " found it..here.." Wolf said as he handed me a box with blue cranes on it. Inside was a Ruby dagger with a dragon bone handle.

" This house was my family's..before it burned..we were looking for anything of value to help our family. We were a poor family after mom died and Dad disappeared. My..My brother..he owned this.." Wolfie points to box as he continues to talk, " I was looking for it after he died. But couldn't remember exactly where it was. The house burned by accident..or at least that's what the firemen said..." I swished my tails as I listened. Wolfie then walked under a nearby tree and sat under it.. looking towards the town in the distance.

"Jai... I..I'm the reason my brother's dead! He wanted me to kill him..said things would be better if I did..." Wolfie said eyes almost teared up..." ohhh Wolfie.." I said calmly as I laid my head on his shoulder...

Wolfie then stood up and changed into a boy with jeans and red hoodie on. Told me he was going to town because he was hungry. I took him by the hand and dragged him to a metal door behind my home. Looking at me weird.. I opened it..revealing meats of all kinds...

"Pick what you want and I'll cook it for you.." I said. Big mistake.. because of his voracious appetite he chose.. everything! He put everything on my tails and I carried it to my fire pit. I then lined each piece of meat on a spike. " Now..the fun part.." I said as I shifted into a Sapphire Dragon. Wolfie was in awe at this form. I then opened my wings .waved my tail and blew flames on the meat. After ten minutes.. everything was done. Wolf grabbed a piece..sat down and asked me how many forms I had since he had seven. I explained I had ten and named them all. " nope..you have 11.. your form with the blue gem." he said mouth full. " That reminds me.." I flick my third tail and give him my blue gem.." take it and keep it. That form I tried with this..after a little while...I turn bad..like eat everything and everyone in sight bad." " ok..now I'ma have nightmares .." Wolf joked.

He then want back to the house and I gathered he food left to put up. As I finished he asked if I had moved a pen from a chair. I showed him I put it in his bedside drawer. After he got it.. he left to another room. I went and began lighting the night laterns. As I lit the last one, I sat and looked out a window. Wolfie returned with another box..but very small. He handed to me saying it was for helping him. I opened it and asked what it was.. he said it was an Everything Orb..it gives you one of anything you want. I sighed..placed it back in the box and put it on the table. I then went back to my room and sat on my bed. He followed me and asked what was wrong.." what I want is here but not truly mine.." I finally said still not facing him yet. " I..I don't know what you are talking about.." he said.

I finally turned around and hugged him and kissed his cheek.." Now you know.." I told the stunned Wolf. Feeling embarrassed..I shifted to a mouse and hid in the hole in the floor..

He got up and left to stand on the porch... As I came out and got back on my bed " hey Jai did you invite.. AHHHH!" I jumped up and ran out after Wolf's cries. A bigger wolf and his guards took wolf away. Every time I tried to stop them I was knocked down. A figure came out of the shadows as the wolves disappeared. He said he could help me get Wolfie back...

It was.. Draco.. Wolf's brother!
