10 Lana's punishment

Axel held Lana's hand to prevent her from matching forward. Her anger was feared in the mansion, she got angry very easily and made certain that those who offend her realise that she was upset.

Axel whispered to her and got her to calm down. The King watched their interaction with interest, only he had the power to calm Land down when she was angry.

She and Axel never used to talk much until today. He could only deduce the change had something to do with the harvest. If he wasn't wrong, Axel was the mate that he sister was hiding from him.

Deagan walked over to them from the group. He had his head lowered avoiding Lana's eyes. He approached the king directly. He wanted to explain what was going on before they arrived and why there was a fight on his watch.

"Noa..."

"Hold it right there," Lana interrupted him. She left Axel's side and walked over to her brother, she stopped before Deagan. "How dare you try to call my brother with his name?" she asked him.

The alpha that had approached them lowered his head even further. Dealing with Lana was the most difficult thing to do in the world. The woman had anger issues and was obsessive. All werewolves were always angry but hers went up to another level.

Her word was law so even when she was bring inconsiderate, it was not possible to correct her. She had the alpha of alpha's to back her up and that made her invincible.

She could seek trouble with anyone and no one would dare even look her in the eyes. She was stubborn and heartless at times.

"I apologise to you alpha," Deagan said feeling sorry. If he had known that they would return today, he never would have given permission for the fight.

He has found himself in hot soup with the alpha's sister and there was no way out.

"Do you think that an apology is sufficient to make up for what you have done?" Lana questioned to him. "It is my brother that you have offended and not another pack member so apologise properly," she demanded.

Nathaniel who was watching on the side saw a side to his sister that he had never known before. The woman was really terrifying. In behaviour she resembled the demon alpha quite well.

They both appeared calm and composed at first but when pushed they fight back and fight back hard. It was only a simple mistake and she was turning it into a major issue.

Deagan went on his knees and said that he was sorry. He glanced over at Lana who looker displeased with him and his apology.

"Lower," she ordered.

Deagan lowered his head and apologised but the girl was still not satisfied. The alpha moved his head until it touched the ground. He said his apologies to the demon alpha and his sister.

"Alright but a repetition of today should not occur again," Lana let out. She averted her eyes from the alpha on the ground and turned to stare at the group behind him.

"Since you all have decided to play around like you have no work. I will give you work," she said.

The wolves growled, they hated the punishments that she gave, they had no point other than to humiliate them and make them sorry.

She came up with the stupidest of punishments that took hours to complete.

"You will have to drain the pool and fill it with water," she said. They sighed releasing the breath that they were holding. The punishment was an easy one that they could do in half an hour, it didn't sound like her.

They thanked their stars that she had not gotten too angry at them. "But," she continued shattering the hope that had formed in their eyes.

"You have to fetch the water from the well and have to carry it to the pool using tea spoons until the pool is full," she added to them.

Even Noam was shocked at her punishment. The pool she talked about was very big and very deep. It would take them years to fill it using a spoon.

Nathaniel made a note to never offend his sister. She wasn't violent but that was one crazy punishment. He didn't know the size of the pool they had but he could tell that even with their numbers, it would take the men a long time to fill a bathtub let alone a pool.

"Am I clear?" she inquired with a sweet smile on her face. They had offended her brother and now. No matter what came, they would never repeat the mistake again.

She would not spare them again if they tried. "What are you waiting for?" she asked to Deagan. "Go and join them," she added.

Noam strode forward to head into the house. He has been saved the trouble of punishing the troublemakers and he was tired.

After the day that he had, he could use some movie time. Watching a horror movie with popcorn in his hands sounded like the best way to spend his evening.

"Brother wait," Lana called out. Both he and Nathaniel stopped and waited for her to catch up. "I wanted to tell you that we a have a problem," she told to him.

Noam glanced at her, he took in all of her body language to see whether she had good news or bad news. The news was bad and it was going to cost him movie night for sure.

"What happened?" he asked calmly.

"The red sparrow had made a move. They have attacked Koran while we were gone," she informed to him.

Noam's aura took a u-turn, the temperature in the room decreased from the news that he had received. His feelings had turned icy cold.

His brother had been attacked by a pathetic pack called the red sparrow and he was not going to let it go. It was his job to ensure that the members of his pack were safe. In his one day absence the red sparrow made a move on his brother.

"Send them a red card," he uttered. The room went silent. His entourage held their breath from the decision that their alpha had made. "Send it today, I want all of them dangling in my front porch by midnight," he declared.

He moved forward to head to his room. He was going to personally give them a slow and painful death but first, he had to find out how his brother was doing.

Lana remained behind, she fetched the red card and handed it to Axel after writing red sparrow on it.
