Chapter 44: A narrow road (3)

Nathaniel and Amarie entered into a staring contest. The temperature of the room decreased intensely. With Noam caught in the middle of their fight.

"I'm hungry," he let out. His voice broke the uncomfortable silence in the room. "I'm going to eat," he said.

Nathaniel freed him, and Noam trailed his eyes back and forth between the two. Wondering what it would take to get them to stop. However, it wasn't something he wanted to get into on an empty stomach. Both of them seemed strong enough to hold their ground so he made himself scarce.

He exited the room.

"The two of you can leave," Amarie ordered her two assistants. They scurried out of the room hastily wasting no minute in the place.

Once it was only the two of them. Amarie gritted her teeth in anger while glaring daggers at Nathaniel. "I feel hungry too. I'm going to find something to eat, have a good day," he told and marched to the door.
