Duel

Zeus flashed through the city and landed on a roof in the Galley-La shipyard. He looked at Luffy and Nami, leaving and then at the three CP9 agents. Before smiling and saying "Hello fellow co-workers!"

Iceberg looked up and said "Hello, my name is Iceberg. Who are you?" Zeus flashed down and shook Iceberg's hand while saying "Captain Kurama, nice to meet you Iceberg!" Iceberg smiled and said "How can I help you?" Zeus shook his head and said "I'm not here for an order today. I just came here because I was in town." his eyes were on Iceberg but his haki covered the space where the three CP9 agents were.

Iceberg laughed and said "Then can I interest you in some tea?" Zeus smiled and said "That would be great thank you." Iceberg nodded and said "Kalifa bring him to my office, I'm going to check on Paulie." Kalifa nodded wordlessly and brought Zeus along as Iceberg left.

Zeus turned around and said "Oh? Too good to talk to me? I knew you CP agents were arrogant but isn't this just rude?" Lucci and Kaku were silent and Kalifa said "That's sexual harassment."

Zeus leaned back and dodged her kick before spinning around and slapping her ass before saying "No. What I just did was sexual harassment. You kick at me again and it won't be just a slap next time." he chuckled and walked into the building saying "Why don't you three join me for a chat?"

Zeus disappeared but his voice echoed "Quickly, I don't have 5 years to spend idling like you." the three tensed up and walked into the building.

Zeus sat down on a couch and crossed his legs as he motioned for them to sit. Kaku and Kalifa sat down but Lucci still stood. Zeus picked the cigarette out of his mouth and rubbed his forehead as he said "So formal. I wonder how you haven't been caught yet. Truly, you're all so weird." he shook his head and said "You don't fit in at all."

Zeus sighed and said "Alright stop making such a racket, if you keep talking I'll die of boredom." Lucci finally spoke "What do you want?" Zeus exhaled a mouthful of smoke and said "I want to know why you're on this island and why you're idiot of a captain has authority for a Buster Call. What's that moron planning."

Lucci said "What we do is our business. We have full rights to execute our plans without Navy interference." Zeus rolled his eyes and said "Yes, of course. I'm a robot and can regurgitate information as well." he uncrossed his legs and tapped on the table with his hand, turning it to dust, as he said "Give me a reason why I shouldn't take down that idiot Spandam for irresponsible handling of a Buster Call snail."

Kalifa spoke "Because it's none of your business!" Zeus sneered "Listen big chest no brains, my concern is about the civilians on the island as well as my own ass. I already know about your deal with Nico Robin. Where the fuck did Spandam get the balls to threaten a single target with a Buster Call!"

They were silent and Zeus continued "He pressed that button and I hope you know, that after Water 7 sinks to the sea everyone of you are following it along with Spandam. Water 7's shipwrights are crucial for our ships, I'm giving you 2 days to get your affairs in order and leave Water 7."

Lucci sneered and said "On what basis?" Zeus looked at him and said "On the fact that I can turn you three to ashes at any moment and the 5 relics in the white city would give me a medal based on the circumstances." Lucci's face turned ugly and Kaku mediated "Alright, 2 days is enough right?"

He looked at Lucci, who thought for a moment before nodding. Zeus smiled and said "Pleasure doing business with you. Hopefully the next time we have a talk if will be a better one." Lucci snorted and left the building with Kaku, leaving only Kalifa behind.

Zeus brought out a new table from his cloud and replaced the one he turned to ashes before looking at Kalifa and saying "Why are you in CP9 anyway?" Kalifa ignored him and closed her eyes, Zeus sighed and said "It's just work, I don't understand why you guys take everything so seriously. Half of you don't even have the proper training, just little puppets." he shook his head and sighed again.

Kalifa cracked open her eyes and said "What do you mean?" Zeus said "It's simple. Lucci is the only one that has mastered all Six Powers. What about you? Rankyaku and Kami-e?" Kalifa was silent and Zeus chuckled "I know all seven. Do with that information what you will."

Kalifa said "Seven?" Zeus looked at her and said "You don't even know about Rokugan?" Kalifa shook her head and Zeus waved "Your leader knows it but he can't use it easily." Kalifa said "Lucci?" Zeus nodded and said "Anyways can you tell me why you're in Cipher Pol?"

Kalifa said simply "We were raised to be Cipher Pol agents." Zeus laughed and shook his head without a word, Kalifa frowned and said "What." Zeus sneered and said "What about before that, what about your families? Want to know what happened to them?"

Kalifa was silent and Zeus whispered in her ear "Killed after they took you away, the same for all Cipher Pol agents." he sat back down in the chair and chuckled as he smoked "You're loyal to the people who killed your families, what a joke." Kalifa's face turned ugly and Zeus said "Not a single one of you have any ambition. Simply killing machines."

He looked at Kalifa and said "What do you want to do?" Kalifa said "Do my miss-" Zeus waved and cut her off "YOU. Not Cipher Pol. What does Kalifa want to do with her life." Kalifa was silent and Zeus looked at the clock before standing up and saying "Tell Iceberg I had something to do and I'll have tea with him another day."

He walked to the door and just before he stepped out he said "If you find out what you want come find me." he chuckled and added "Who knows, maybe I'll find you first." before disappearing completely, leaving Kalifa in the room alone with only her thoughts.

Zeus flashed outside of the Franky House and saw the collapsed building along with Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Chopper walking away with Usopp in their arms. Zeus sighed and cursed Kalifa in his heart. He missed a fight! At least he didn't miss the drama!

He followed behind the guys back to the Merry and flashed inside the galley before sitting down at the table. He looked at the ship book and sighed sadly, he didn't have a way to fix this. He shook his head and silently apologized to the Merry in his heart, getting a slight buzz in response.

He leaned back in his chair and the rest of the crew walked into the room, they looked at Zeus before sitting down around the table and looking at the ship catalog. Zeus was playing around with his gold staff, shaping it into different weapons, pretty useful for his lightning control but since he threw a lot of his attacks, a weapon wasn't very useful. Maybe be could use it later for something.

After a while on sitting around Usopp woke up

Zeus looked over at Usopp and closed his eyes before looking away, Zoro looked at Zeus and Usopp said "Hey guys! What's going on?"

Luffy said "Hey Usopp! You're awake! Come look at this catalog of ships, some of them are really cool! A lot more room too! I-" Usopp cut him off and laughed "You almost had me there Luffy! Look, even Chopper believed you!" Chopper had tears in his eyes and looked away.

Luffy's eyes darkened as he said "It's not a joke, we're getting a new ship."

Usopp froze and said quickly "Is it because I lost our money? I can sell some stuff! Kurama has a lot of money! He can lend us some!" Luffy shook his head and said "It's not about the money." Zeus lit a cigarette and exhaled a mouthful of smoke before rubbing his eyes and sighing.

Usopp frowned and said "You want to get a new ship because those so called 'First Class' Shipwrights told you to?! You shouldn't believe everything they say."

Luffy clenched his fists and said "I made the decision! We're getting a new ship!" Usopp got up in his face and said "That's low! The Merry has brought us up to her and you're just going to abandon her like that?! She's a part of this crew! Since when did you start acting like a captain!?"

Zeus crushed the cigarette in his hand and Zoro tightened his grip on his swords. They both slowly relaxed and went back to normal as Luffy snapped "The Merry can't be repaired anymore! She's different from a person!"

Usopp looked shell shocked and said "I'll just go fix her myself." Luffy tackled him to the ground and said "You're not a shipwright! You never have been!" Usopp snapped "Maybe not but I won't leave a crew mate behind!"

Luffy got angry and said "We're getting anew ship and that's that! I make the decisions around here and if you don't like it, you can just le-" Sanji kicked Luffy across the room and into a table before screaming "Idiot! Do you know what you were about to say?!"

Luffy slumped into a seated position and said "I'm sorry Usopp, I didn't mean t-" Usopp cut him off and said "It's okay Luffy. That's how you really feel isn't it?" as he slowly stood up, Luffy said "What do you mean?!"

Usopp walked to the door and said "You don't need any weak members on the Pirate King's crew. Kurama said it himself, the enemies only get stronger from here on out. If you can abandon the Merry, you can abandon me too." before walking out the door.

Luffy was silent and Nami snapped "Why didn't you stop him! You're friends aren't you?!" Luffy was silent and Nami left the galley angrily, Chopper followed her with his medical bag and Sanji went after the two, leaving Luffy, Zoro, and Zeus in the room.

Zeus exhaled a mouthful of smoke before ashing out the cigarette, Zoro looked at him and said "What do you think?"

Zeus chuckled and said "You want my opinion?" Zoro nodded and Luffy looked over, Zeus sighed and said "Well, if he wants to leave, let him leave. If he doesn't respect you as a captain then it's better he leaves. Yes, you are his friend, but you are also his captain." Zeus pointed his thumb at Zoro and looked at Luffy before saying seriously "If you let people walk all over you, then your whole crew will fall apart. This guy right here won't respect you anymore the moment you give in to someone else."

Zoro nodded and Zeus continued seriously "This isn't a game. Not everything is all sunshine and rainbows, if you give in then your crew will fall apart." he stood up and looked into Luffy's eyes as he continued "That's why you can't show weakness. You are the back bone, you are the pillar that holds the sky, you are their stability. If you crumble, they all crumble. If you let them do whatever they want, not only you but the rest will suffer and die. I'm not saying be serious all the time but when the situation calls for it you have to put your foot down and make a decision."

Zeus waved his hand and made 7 lightning blocks, he stacked them together and said "The only end for an unstable crew..." he flicked the bottom block away and the rest fell down and scattered "Is collapse." he pressed his hand down and destroyed all the blocks before walking out of the room.

Luffy looked at the table where the blocks were and silently left the room, Zoro followed him out.

Zeus was leaned next to the door, watching Usopp walk away, with his arms crossed. Luffy and Zoro walked out and looked at Usopp, who turned around and shouted "Tonight! 10 o'clock! We'll fight for the Merry! Me and you, Monkey D. Luffy!" before turning away to prepare. The crew watched him go with different expressions, Zeus and Zoro were indifferent, Luffy was silent, Sanji was angry, and Nami and Chopper were crying.

Time passed by slowly and it was 10

Luffy and Usopp stood across from each other. Zeus watched as Usopp pulled the same tricks from the anime, but this time used Kami'e! Zeus smiled slightly, looks like that long nose knows what's good for him. Even with Kami-e he was absolutely no match for Luffy, who, after a brief struggle, managed to beat Usopp down with a single punch.

Luffy stood over Usopp and said "Keep the Merry. So long Usopp.. It's been fun." and walked away. The crew packed up their things and left the Merry, Zeus sat on the railing of the Merry and smiled slightly at Usopp, who was walking towards himself.

Zeus spoke "Regret it?" Usopp shook his head and said "No." Zeus nodded and said "Good. I would've killed you if you did." before jumping off the railings and waving over his shoulder at Usopp and walking away. Usopp was rooted on the spot before smiling wryly and getting to work on the Merry.

Zeus disappeared into the city and reappeared on the streets, he looked around before walking into a bar. He say next to a lady and said "Boss, two glasses of whiskey please." he put down 1000 beli and winked at the lady. He had nothing to do and he wasn't going to spend the night alone if he didn't have to right?

The next morning

Zeus woke up in a bed naked, lying next to the woman from the bar last night. She was also naked, it didn't take a genius to figure out what happened here. He chuckled to himself and put of a T-shirt and shorts before draping his jacket over his shoulders and leaving pills and a note and leaving the building.

He grinned on the streets and looked towards Iceberg's office. Things are starting to heat up and what kind of party would it be if he wasn't spicing things up?!
