2 No Recess
"What do you mean I can't stay with Sunny?!" a frustrated Mirai lashes out at her teacher.
"If we let you two spend recess together than that wouldn't really be much of a punishment for Sunny."
The teacher calmly explained to her that it wasn't possible to share the punishment either and shoo'd away a rebellious Mirai, much to her dismay. She leaves the room with a defeated look on her face as she gestures a sign of goodbye and sorry to Sunny. Sunny finds this to be very charming and appreciates her efforts but understood it was impossible from the start. She waves goodbye at Mirai, trying to get her away with a smile signalling she would be fine. As her friend left, a voice from across the room could be heard.
"Haha, serves you right for hitting us!" the scratched up boy from yesterday mocked.
They confidently made faces at Sunny while she glared back at them, hinting that if they continued she'd do something once she was free. They boys gulped and backed away. Sunny went back to her punishment, faceplanting on her desk in boredom.
"Uggghhhh, stupid boys, stupid teacher, stupid school," she thought to herself.
As she turned her head to her side, she snuck a glance outside the door and saw Mirai waving at her. Glancing at the teacher and back, she sneakily waved back at Mirai under the table. Delighted to see Sunny respond, Mirai proceeded to scurry to the ground and pick up a flower. She placed it in her hair and proceeded to act out what looked like a one person play. Sunny couldnt help but chuckle at the sight of her, she looked so funny all by herself. Yet Sunny couldnt help but feel comforted that Mirai was trying to cheer her up and entertain her while she was stuck inside. Her expression eased up with a tenderness at the thought. Just then, the teacher obstructed her vision and cut her feelings short. Noticing her friend outside goofing about, she tells her to stop and closes the door in front of Sunny, with a grimace on her face.
"You know this is supposed to be a punishment Sunny, Im sorry but thats what happens when you picks fights"
Sunny's expression returns to a bitter one as she smacks her head down on the table again.
