3 Lightning Star Crystal

After running for a couple of minutes he found himself in a mountain he surveyed his surroundings and was glad that he was not able to find other people.

The next moment he took out the star crystal and observed it properly. Although he already know that star crystals are different in colors depending on it's elemental affinity. This was his first time seeing a violet star crystal that was very clear which means that it contains pure star energy inside it.

This also increased the value of the star crystal. Because the main usage for a star crystal is to absorb the energy contained within it which helps in the advancement of cultivation. But before they can even absorb the energy contained inside the crystal they must purify it first so that it will not be harmful to the body.

An unpurified star crystal is worth around 10, 000 gold coins, but the one that Mitz got was a purified star crystal not to mention that it was violet in color which has a high possibility of being an elemental crystal.

Star crystal have two types the first one is an ordinary crystal while the other one was an elemental crystal which means that it contains certain elements inside it. The man way to distinguish an elemental crystal to the ordinary one is that elemental crystals are mostly different in color while an ordinary crystal is white in color.

The star crystal in Mitz's hand was a pure elemental star crystal, so it's value was two or three times it's original price. Of course he could also chose not to sell it and use it but before he could even absorb star energry he must first have his calling.

Although he is already 14 and will be turning 15 this year which will be the time when his calling should happen he didn't want to keep this star crystal with him for too long. Afraid that it might get stolen if he keep it with him so without any hesitation he will sell this crystal.

Another factor that affected his decision is that he was not sure if he will be able to absorb the energy in the crystal if he became a constellar. He was not even sure if he will become a constellar.

He was only a commoner and his ancestors were not constellars so he did not have much hope on becoming a constellar. But even so he will be glad if he can become a constellar so that he will have the strength to protect himself.

Because of a certain accident his parents died when he was just 5 years old with no one to go. He lived on the streets ever since and have long forgotten to look for his relatives. He was happy with his life now so he won't bother looking for his relatives who did not even looked for him when he was in need.

He adopted to the way of living in the streets and have learned to craft weapons from the blacksmith he is working.

Weapons are also essential to constellars because astral weapons uses a lot of their energy so using metal weapons is very helpful on conserving their energy. Good weapon are also fought over by others because of it's rarity.

What he learned was only the basic crafting of weapons so he was only able to craft small weapon such as a knife or a dagger. But even so, because of this he was able to gain extra money by selling his made knives or daggers. He was able to do this by scavenging the metal scraps in the blacksmith and use it to make knives which he will sell at the market for 20 silver coins each.

After that the money he'd gain will be used for their daily necessity and for Hira's treatment. Hira was his adopted little sister, he found her also alone in the street and when he found out that she was blind he can't get himself to just leave her there.

So from then on, he was the one who take cared of Hira, it was already enough for him just to see her smile and it fills his heart with warmth. Only being with her did he truly feel that life is good no matter what problems he faced as long as their is a way he try hard to find it and solve his problems.

Thinking about the lightning star crystal in his hands, he was very excited and can't wait to sell it. But before that he did not forget about his other harvests so he took it all out to have a look at them.

A horn, a piece of bone, and some meat he picked on the ground awhile ago. The horn can be used as a special material for crafting and it is rare so he decided not to sell it. Although the horn is not as valuable as the star crystal, compared to the star crystal he can use the horn in crafting making the weapons he make more durable and sharper.

The bones can also be used in crafting but it is inferior to the horn and is only slight superior to an orginary metal. Normally, the bones are usually used as a hilt or handle of a weapon because it is not slippery yet not rough.

Meanwhile, he decided that they can eat the meat since it was not that many and it can also help make Hira's body stronger to get ready for her treatment.

So out of the four items he obtained including the star crystal, only the star crystal will be sold while the bones and the horn will be stored and the meat will be cooked.

Even though he can not sell the other items he was very satisfied with the star crystal as he estimated that if an ordinary star crystla cost 10 000 gold coins then that means that the star crystal in his hand will be sold for over 20 000 - 30 000. It was equivalent to his 5 years of hardwork so if others were to found out that he has such a valuable object he will surely get in trouble.
