18 You need an eye check-up

The boy was confused as he saw Ying Xuan's lips move but Lu Zuan spoke.

He looked at Lu Zuan who said, "Don't mind me. She had something to say to you."

The boy looked back at Ying Xuan who mouthed, with Lu Zuan speaking, "Who do you think you are? Watch where you are standing! What kind of an attitude is that?...."

Ying Xuan had more to say, but the boy interrupted her. He said, "Are you.....dumb?"

Ying Xuan: "So what if I'm dumb? What if I can't speak? At least I have the basic courtesy to apologise when I bump into someone. And I don't think my condition is as serious as yours. You need to get your eyes checked, and maybe ask them to give your mind a check-up while you're at it. Cannot even see a person standing and expects them to move out of his way."

Ying Xuan looked the boy up and down and began again, "I don't know what used to happen in your school, but don't expect me to be running around on your every whim. This place, is packed with spoilt rich kids, so don't expect to be the prince here."

After she was done, Ying Xuan grabbed Lu Zuan's hand and walked over to where Shi Weiwei was standing, leaving behind the boy, looking at the two girls, dumbstruck.

As the two came back, Shi Weiwei was shocked. She said, "What the hell happened? Xuan, what happened to your shirt?"

Ying Xuan signed, "Nothing."

Lu Zuan said, "I'm amazed. You were really good back there."

Ying Xuan mouthed, "Well, I have developed a high tolerance for bullshit. You know, unable to speak and living with Xi. But that boy, just...."

Lu Zuan said, "Yeah. Now I can see that you're not a pushover. Good for you. Well, I'll be going then."

Shi Weiwei: "Where?"

Lu Zuan: "Leaving a party where such idiots are."

Shi Weiwei: "Come with us. We're leaving too."

Lu Zuan: "I already told you I'm anti-social right? Now that I've interacted so much, I'll probably go live in a cave for a month."

Ying Xuan chuckled as she waved goodbye. Shi Weiwei laughed, "You can't do that. Classes are starting tomorrow."

Lu Zuan: "Shit. So, no cave. Anyway, byee."

Saying this Lu Zuan walked towards the direction of the main gate.

Ying Xuan and Shi Weiwei also left the party. They went back to the dorms and changed. Xuan wore a yellow sleeveless dress with a Chinese collar which ended just above her knees. The dress was a little child-like as it had honeybees printed all over it, but Ying Xuan could pull off anything.

After she was done washing her shirt, Ying Xuan came out of the bathroom with a sad expression.

Shi Weiwei, who was reading something on her phone, looked up, "What's wrong?"

Ying Xuan sent a message, "The shirt's ruined."

Shi Weiwei: "So the stain won't wash off, huh. Doesn't matter, you have so many clothes."

Ying Xuan seemed lost in thought for a second before she messaged Weiwei again, "Yeah. Anyway, wanna get something to eat?"

Shi Weiwei: "You're still hungry?"

Ying Xuan: "What do you mean still? I've had nothing to ear since the morning."

Shi Weiwei: "I guess I can fit something in my stomach." She poked her stomach here and there and said, "Look, here's some space."

Ying Xuan laughed as the two girls headed out.
