16 The party

As she watched Ying Xuan walk away, Ting Mumu, whose name Xuan had forgotten said to Ying Xi, "Xi, you're going to let her walk away like that?"

Ying Xi: "I'm not in the mood right now. Let's go."

Ying Xuan went back to Shi Weiwei and the two began chatting.

Many people at the party approached Ying Xuan. It could not be helped, Ying Xuan was really beautiful so it was normal she would attract attention. Also, her skin made her stand out even in a crowd of beautiful people.

Though Ying Xi also had the same face, she had done a ton of make-up which hid the natural beauty underneath.

Moreover, Ying Xuan and Shi Weiwei were dressed in comfortable clothes and looked fresh, as opposed to all the party dresses and high heels most of the girls were wearing.

But most of the people soon lost interest when Ying Xuan did not speak. They thought that she was too arrogant and thought of them as beneath them.

This was apparent when a group of two boys and a girl approached them. The three seemed to be their seniors as they introduced themselves and told that Xuan could come to them if she had any problem.

Shi Weiwei smiled and introduced both of them, "I'm Shi Weiwei, drama major. She's Ying Xuan, fashion designing major."

Ying Xuan stood beside Weiwei and waved her hand as a form of greeting.

One of the boys seemed excited upon hearing Xuan was majoring in fashion designing. He said, "So you're into fashion? Well, I can clearly tell that." He eyed Xuan up and down and both the girls felt very uncomfortable.

The boy suddenly took hold of Xuan's hand and said, "If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to come to me. I'll help you."

Ying Xuan smiled awkwardly as she retracted her hand from the boy's hand.

Seeing this, the girl spoke in an unfriendly manner, "What is wrong with you? Chuan is offering you help and you're not even giving him a response? Come on, where are your manners."

The boy named Chuan seemed a little angry by Xuan's behaviour as he also said, "It's all right. Apparently, I'm not worth it for Miss Ying to grace me with her words. Huh."

Shi Weiwei began, "Now look here..."

But Ying Xuan stopped her, signing that it was all right and she didn't mind.

But the girl was angered by this, "You don't even want her to talk to us. You're a real petty person, you know that?"

Ying Xuan's expression changed. She did not want to argue with anyone this early but this girl was asking for it.

But before Xuan could do anything, the third boy of the gang came forward. He said, "Forgive their rude words. They still have a hard time controlling their tempers."

Saying this he dragged the girl and the other boy with their collars.

Shi Weiwei muttered, "Rich kids are mean. I mean, I was instantly able to tell that you were not arrogant. I think it's true, 'how the person is inside, he thinks the whole world is the same'."

Ying Xuan signed, "Do you want to stay here longer?"

Shi Weiwei: "Why you don't like it?"

Before Xuan could reply, an all too familiar girl approached them.
